Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m managing director of Allfast Solutions, a fastener supplier.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Neon Hive?

We wanted to upgrade our previous WordPress website in order to promote our items to the market and set up an online ordering system.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

First, they gave us a website concept on the information and photos taken in our store, outlining how the new site could look. We were impressed with it and continued to do more development in the meantime, with both sides providing ideas. We had to work on templates and put about 20,000 different products on the website so getting photos of all our products took a long time.

They developed our new website using Shopify, helping us to install items collection by collection on the website until it was complete. It was handed back to us and we checked every aspect, also trying out the ordering process and how it could work. We continue to make little alterations to the website as we go.

What is the team composition?

I worked with Jonathan (Managing Director, Neon Hive).

How did you come to work with Neon Hive?

We were introduced to Neon Hive by one of our staff members. We met up with Jonathan and had a discussion on what it is we needed, then ran through the concept and discussed the options. We decided to work with them and didn’t consider any other companies.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in August 2018, and the work is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We launched the website in July 2019 and so far, we’ve only been promoting the website amongst our own current customers. We have 74 signed up and have had 62 orders go through. We want to get it completely right before we go to the market.

How did Neon Hive perform from a project management standpoint?

Jonathan was good and efficient, always coming back to us quickly. We were in communication daily to start with, which then became weekly and later monthly or less. It was such a big project that we parked it for a couple of months because we had to sort some things out within the company and then we came back to it, which they were flexible about. We communicated via email and phone calls, and Jonathan would come and see us once a month or once every couple of months.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They had efficient service and accepted the challenge of putting 20,000 different products on our websites. Generally, they showed a lot of excitement about wanting to get the website up and running and there were always plenty of options available.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they’re professional and d a really good job, responding well to any questions we have.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I recommend using them.
