For what projects/services did your company hire Neologix Software Solutions, and what were your goals?
Our website developed by a leading agency in USA on Microsoft DNS backend was pretty messed up. We needed multi lingual support to be added. Because the first developers had too many unnecessary customisations, the system was not able to handle the 5 different languages.
Having added the 5 different languages on the existing platform technically Neologix had completed the project. However they didn't leave us to tackle the mess. Their team advised us to move totally to a new Drupal platform. We were very skeptical about whether they would be able to give us absolutely the same look and feel (the website was Board approved and we would not have been able to redo the process).
Neologix managed the project very professionally and efficiently, there was absolutely no look and feel difference and the process was seamless and hassle free. Infact the backend is now very easily managed as well. We have also used them for SEO works and also approached them to revamp a financial module in the website which took input from Tadawul (Saudi exchange).
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We chose the vendor based on their portfolio of projects, based on their success in the region (to be sure of local support), the testimonials from other clients and their cost effectiveness. Once we met them their problem solving approach was remarkable as well their professional outlook.

We had a kick off meeting, followed with detailed requirement analysis. Costing was done based on the requirements and a proposal with clean deadlines were submitted. We had been provided with access to a project management platform which helped us have a track of the processes and updates on a real-time basis.
All inputs for the projects were requested through the same and the platform allowed us to have a clear track record of the activities, stage, and percentage completion of the project. A beta version of the website was delivered for review and we were walked through the same. We had training for the CMS and a manual was provided.
Once the website was approved it was made live. The website runs on Drupal CMS.

A team of 4 with a project manager worked with us.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
As mentioned Neologix truly took us out of the mess we were in. We were delivered with a multi lingual website which was very easy to manage, SEO friendly, and delivered accurately to the level of expectation within the set deadlines. We never had to follow up on things as they always kept us up to date through their project management platform.

They had us use a project management system, which was very professional and provided an effective means of communication. There was never a need for follow-up, the system provided the stage on a real-time basis. Also allowed us to backtrack conversations and check on previously sent data. It was very convenient and time saving.
They followed the project time line and each deliverable was provided as per the same.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their problem solving approach and their professional capabilities to tackle the problem were impressive. Also their attitude to achieve customer satisfaction and happiness was remarkable.

Please describe your company.
We are an online hypermarket in Trivandrum, India. We have about 30 employees and are a newer company. We are the only online hypermarket in Trivandrum. This is a new concept, which we have implemented in the city.
What is your role and responsibilities?
I am the general manager, I manage the business and coordinate general activities between the various departments.
What was the business challenge that you were trying to address?
Initially, we started with a simple website for the business. But, we realized that in the business we are in, it is very necessary that the entire business flow and activities be managed using software. Using the software produced by Neologix, we were able to make all the departments more efficient, and we could plan and work with real data. We were also able to reduce our monthly resource expenses by a good margin.
Can you talk about the scope of the project?
It included design, development, training, and support. It also includes hardware and server management. Our entire system is hosted in a cloud environment. We are on a contract with the company, where they provide support, work in tandem to implement new features, and make the software efficient. The first phase took six months, and we are working on the new phase currently.
Why did you select PHP as the software platform?
With Neologix's help, PHP/MySQL was perfect for our company.
What was your process for selecting Neologix Software Solutions to work with?
In brief, the selection criteria we looked into was if the solution would match our business requirements, experience, references, and capabilities. We considered Magento, but they didn't match our business requirements.
We had contacted at least 20 different companies for our requirements. We shortlisted four companies based on the responses we received, but none could match the capabilities and solution provided by Neologix. The solution Neologix provided definitely set them apart from the other companies.
What parts of the project was Neologix Software Solutions involved with?
Neologix took care of our requirements from scratch. We do not have an in-house IT team. The entire IT department is managed by Neologix. Two months ago, we hired a manager to coordinate the requirements with Neologix.
Can you provide a general cost range for the size of the project?
I'm sorry, but I cannot disclose that information.
When was the project completed?
The initial stage was completed in November of 2012. The second stage is going on now.
What were the results of the project? Do you have any statistics or metrics to share?
Cost reduction, technology uptime, ability to analyze using real-time data, which helps us in planning and decision making have all been achieved. All the data and reports employees require are generated through the system, which invariably avoids a lot of paper work and relief from errors as well. Customers are very happy with our system, both mobile and website. We are the No. 1 technically equipped system in our city. There is no one else to match our system in our city.

What is your position with the company?
I was just doing this application for them. I live in Rochester [N.Y.], so I’m a patron of that restaurant and they were interested. I know the boss, and I was talking to them. They were interested in doing an app. Actually an iPhone and an Android app and also something like an online ordering system. So, I came up with the idea to contact Neologix because I actually sat in with a few of the guys on Neologix before I came to America, so that’s what happened. I contacted them and got them to do what they required and actually, they didn’t know what could be done, so I worked with Neologix on the requirements for all of them.
Do you develop apps as a freelancer, or is this more of a onetime thing?
Yeah, it is. Now that I’m successfully employed, I take this up as a side business that I can do.
What was the restaurant’s main business goals going into creating these apps?
The restaurant has many patrons call in for takeout orders. That’s how they run on a very lean management and keep profitable. They don’t have too many employees. Actually, the cook himself is the boss, so that’s how they make a good profit. It’s a very popular restaurant in Rochester. That’s why people make a lot of takeout orders. They can get about 20 orders each for about $100 in a single night. For their customers, they wanted something that allow then to submit these orders without having another person on the line answering the calls because, sometimes, they are busy doing other stuff. Some of these calls go unanswered, or they just wanted to streamline the process to taking orders for takeout. They wanted to create an app, if possible, to look at their menu and order stuff. Then, the restaurant would be able to view those orders.
Did Neologix handled the complete design and development of the project, or did you do one part or the other?
I actually worked on the requirements needed in the entire design and the development. I was just talking with the client and trying to figure out the requirements. So, for example, they didn’t want delivery because they didn’t want to want that overhead on their side, and they also wanted some requirements of customers being able to find recent orders. Just talking through what they really require. That was my part to translate to the developer from those requirements. I’m the middle man between Tandoor and Neologix.
Could you give me a rough estimate of the overall cost of the project?
It’ll be about $10,000 because there were three different aspects of it. One is the Android app. Then, there’s an iPhone app. Then, there’s a Web interface, but the great thing about this is the content management system that feeds in data for all of these three systems is the same thing. So, the restaurant owner can go ahead and add a new item, and the pricing will reflect on all of the three interfaces.
How long ago was the project finished?
The initial release of it, we gave this order in January, and they delivered in March. Actually, that was the Android app. There are a lot of back and forth on the customer viewing the app, and then making feature changes. They were timely. All of the deadlines that they committed on were met.
How satisfied were you and the owners of the restaurant with the results of the project?
They’re extremely satisfied, and they wanted us to do more projects from Neologix now because they’re good at delivering what they had promised, and the high quality software that they used. The number of bugs that we found were actually very small. Some very minor bugs that would normally happen, but the main functionally was delivered pretty solid on the date that was promised.
Compared to those other companies, is there anything unique or special about Neologix?
What I would say special is they have a great design team. The ones I’ve worked with other companies, you have to give them a good layout and design for them to meet the requirement. For example, when we’re getting the profile of a user, Neologix automatically did all the checks for requiring their phone number. So, they are pretty complete in what they do. That is what I found unique working with Neologix.
Do you think there is any area that they could improve or do slightly better?
No. They’re very receptive to changes that we were trying to say, trying to do for the product. I’m trying to think of how they can improve on, but they’re timely, and they had a superior design. I would say probably good plotting system of all the issues that are reported and probably good interface that people could sell. This is for our bigger project that we could have a bug tracking or some kind of system that the customer as well as they can like submit tickets and all of that. Right now, it’s mostly email so, maybe to have some larger customers login to submit software issues, but they might already have it.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Most of the deliverables were on time, but one of the projects got delayed since it was first started out in PowerApps and that did not pan due to slowness of the application. We had to then switch to sharepoint using spfx. This delayed the deliverable by 1.5 months. Apart from that all the other deliverables where within reasonable limits of less than a week than estimated.

Communication was through email and Microsoft teams. Timelines were provided for each module independently.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Outsourcing of the solution to India, was a unique aspect for us since this was the first time we were outsourcing a project.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Project management needs to be improved as there was no information on how long any of the devleopers worked on the project.

Neologix has help us to enable our contract renewal process from standard manual process to online. Now our client can renew their contract anytime and anywhere using their mobile devices.

We found them online and have noticed that they have done some project with Sharjah Municipality.

The project was divided into phases that start with the Collection module. An Android mobile app was used to collect information from our client as our team visit them. Collection schedules were done online using admin portal.
The next phase is the Service Contract and other services we are offering our clients. This allow health care facilities in Sharjah to renew and pay their contract online. From this system, we are able to generate collection reports for MOH and other reports required by our team.

There were 4 people who works on this project. One Project Manager, a Designer and two developers.

As the second phase were implemented, it is very timely since physical contact with people were minimize since all process now where done online.

The team uses zoom and google meet whenever there are clarification with regards to our requirements.

The humbleness and approachable personality of their CEO that reflects to his team is really a big factor for me. It gives me and our team the comfort of telling them the exact requirements we have on the system that we need.

Since UAE and India's working days are different, there are times that we need the help of their team during Sunday. But their team will still try their best to help us with limited access that they have even they are on none-working days.

Nowadays we had to re-use a lot of our data in different forms which costs us a lot of time due to the manual work. The goal of the project was to automate these forms, based on a set of basic data , so we would be able to generate all this forms with just one click.

We just found them via google, and had a good first contact with one of the responsibles. That gave us enough confidence to do the project with them.

They proposed a workable solution, based on the information we provided. Afterwards we finetuned this before we went in to development phase. We created the solution in Sharepoint and checked with eachother at milestone moments if everything was still conform plan. We made some changes during development so the final goal could be achieved, where Neologix was very flexible in accepting some changed requirements.

I just started working with it, but with larger projects I already reduced the time with more then 50% by using it, where I am convinced that this will increase in the future by self-learning and finetuning the tooling with Neologix.

Very open and transparent. Basecamp is the communication tooling that was used, which makes it very easy to have insight on the progress of the projects.

we made a meeting to explain our requirments and objectives .After that we received a mockup . After approving , a test version of the design is made .we test it .then some functionality is added and some changes is made .after that ,the implementation on the real portal is started.

While the company's internal management was skeptical at first, the Neologix Software Solutions team successfully completed the project. The company is happy with the end result as the new platform is SEO friendly, easy to manage, and was not noticeably different from the original website.
