A New Approach to Software Solutions
Neologic helps mid-market companies build digital ecosystems that solve business problems and accelerate growth.
Whether clearly articulated or not, most companies have an ecosystem that includes their employees, clients, partners, vendors, prospects, and other relevant stakeholders. In most companies, their internal systems just aren’t keeping pace with digital transformation and how modern humans want to interact with each other.
As experts at modernizing, optimizing, and automating business processes, Neologic partners with its clients to architect, design, develop, and support custom software that creates scalable digital ecosystems.
With the right solutions-focused approach from Neologic, duplication of efforts, careless errors, siloed data, inconsistent and highly-fragmented information, slow response time, and missed deadlines all become a thing of the past.
Neologic leads these changes with its unique approach to strategy, design, development, and support — built around the specific needs of mid-market businesses.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
Abcor Home Health works with elder individuals that need support with their daily living activities, including cooking, cleaning, shopping, and companionship.
What challenge were you trying to address with Neologic Software?
Our HR department handles a lot of caregivers, around 1,200–1,500 in a normal year. We hire a lot of people, and a lot of people leave, for one reason or another.
The amount of paperwork we had to do was a challenge. The state requires certain documents to be maintained constantly, such as driver license and insurance card expiration dates, and continued education that needs to be done for 12 hours per year. We had four offices at the time, and we had to place a dedicated person in each one just for HR compliance work.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We discussed our problem with Neologic, and they suggested an automated solution. All our training is online now, so people can do it from either a computer or a mobile device.
They have to go through a certain number of hours each month, and we track that for compliance purposes. If we get audited, we need to show exactly how many hours there were. Once a training program is activated on our side, the caregivers can log in and go through it on their own time.
The software tracks who logged in and out and at what time. We have questions at the end, and the caregiver will get a certificate after answering them successfully. I can simply click a button and show an auditor all our certificates and logs.
The document expiration component does the same thing. With the software, we can set up expiration dates for the documents, along with deadlines by which new copies must be submitted. Caregivers will receive friendly reminder text messages and emails. They can snap a picture and send it back to us, and it’s done.
What is the team composition?
We worked directly with a project manager from Neologic, and there were three developers involved. The manager spent a lot of time at our office while figuring out our processes.
How did you come to work with Neologic Software?
One of our VoIP providers recommended them. I was looking for a software developer at the time, and it happened to be that one of my friends owned such a company. I got in contact with him, Neologic, and one other company, and we had a tender with all three.
Neologic was better not only in terms of dollar amount, but they promised to do it much faster than the other companies. My friend develops software for large banks, and he told me that, if Neologic can do it for that amount of money, I should go with them, so I did.
How much have you invested with them?
The initial contract was for $90,000, and it ended up being $115,000 with the additions we made.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Neologic around January 2018, and we went live in December of that year.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Neologic’s solution simplified our process tremendously. We didn’t fire any people, but we’ve repositioned them within the company after implementing the platform. We had four employees doing compliance, who are now doing different things, so we definitely saw an increase in productivity.
Going through the initial discovery process actually allowed us to clean up and do a much better job at hiring, and the solution they built was exactly what we needed. It automated our process as much as possible, and solved our biggest issues with tracking training and expired documents. We can also communicate better with caregivers through the software. That’s a big plus as well.
How did Neologic Software perform from a project management standpoint?
They delivered a little before the deadline. We went a little over budget, but that was my own making. We added a lot of things during the project, including automating the application process. Had it not been for that, it would’ve been perfectly on budget.
We were left with a bit of time to train our people after Neologic delivered the work, and we started that process one month early.
We’d done some software transfers in the past, including our payroll, and I worked with different IT providers. There’s no comparison between Neologic and them. Neologic was always available and on top of things. We called them whenever we needed something, and the customer service was always superb.
Having worked in that industry for a lot of years, the way we did things seemed like the most logical way. Neologic brought a fresh perspective and suggested a lot of improvements to our process.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their project manager had a personal touch and was able to not only comprehend our business and process, but he got it so well that he was actually able to suggest some things. Having worked in that industry for a lot of years, the way we did things seemed like the most logical way. Neologic brought a fresh perspective and suggested a lot of improvements to our process.
It was an unexpected side effect, but I feel we’ve streamlined our process a lot as a result of working with Neologic. Another company may not have gone that deep into our process to figure out why we did what we did. Neologic asked a lot of questions and tried to figure out the process behind each document, and that’s what made them stand out.
If I have another project, I won't even start a tender because I can’t imagine a better approach than Neologic’s. I didn’t expect it going in, and it was a very positive surprise.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Right now, they depend heavily on one project manager. I couldn’t imagine working with someone else from Neologic for that long. I don’t know whether this is good or bad, but having a bigger team would help down the road.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
With any software development company, the client has to be on top of them and ask a lot of questions to make sure they understand the process. What separated Neologic from the rest in my mind is that they do that for us.
Neologic drove the entire process and asked all the questions. They tried to understand the business process before suggesting a solution. That’s why their solutions were very clean and well-prepared.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a property tax solutions firm.
What challenge were you trying to address with Neologic Software?
We hired them to create an evidence-generation and marketing platform.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They created a CRM that’s pulled into an algorithmic data processor. The product manages client communication and allows for algorithmic sorting to compare properties using massive data sets. We gave them guidance on how to create algorithms based on our data. That allowed us to target our marketing efforts to the right audience. The product helps us show our clients how we can help them save taxes via an appeal.
They also created an online platform that lets our clients communicate with us electronically. We’re rolling it out currently but are sure that it will significantly change how our business is conducted.
What is the team composition?
I worked directly with Dmitriy (Co-Founder).
How did you come to work with Neologic Software?
They were associated with other programmers that I reached out to first. That team brought Dmitriy to the job.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $250,000 to date.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working with them since November 2018. While we launched our first project together in February 2020, we extended our contract with them on a larger project. They’ve been working on that since April 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our work is now much more effective and efficient than it was before. The amount of work we can accomplish has skyrocketed. The product brought the majority of our marketing from print to online. This system is definitely superior.
How did Neologic Software perform from a project management standpoint?
They blew us away on their communication and getting a handle on our business functions. He had a handle on these subjects from his past experience in the field, which helped him take our project and run with it much farther than we could’ve expected.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their willingness to understand our business was very impressive. There are all sorts of variabilities and scheduling needs within an assessment cycle. They took the time to learn the entire practice to build a platform that completely satisfies our needs.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything. He came up with ideas on his own that we may have never considered without his help.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
All programming projects take a tremendous amount of communication. They are great listeners and will try their best to understand their business. Don’t shy away from their abilities and limit your scope too much.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a co-founder and CPO of PLT4M. It’s a digital fitness app for high school physical education programs. We provide different fitness and weight training programs to over a thousand schools.
What challenge were you trying to address with Neologic Software?
I hired them for web development services.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They used ASP.NET, Angular, and MySQL to develop our website. Their team worked from scratch, and they had wireframes from our third-party who did the design work.
In addition to the web platform, they also built iOS and Android apps. Their team built the ability to create, deliver, and track training through those various platforms. In addition, they helped with BRD documentation for new build-outs and development initiatives.
What is the team composition?
Dmitriy (Co-Founder) was our main point person. He built the team out from there. It included him and one developer at the start. Then eventually, there were 6–7 developers from database architecture specialists to .NET developers to mobile personnel working through native script and Angular.
How did you come to work with Neologic Software?
It was a long, winding road but it was ultimately through a Google search.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement ran from June 2012–August 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They built a platform that allowed us to go from zero customers to about 700 customers around the time our partnership ended.
How did Neologic Software perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management is their strongest suit. Dmitriy is detail-oriented, and he puts a lot of work into the upfront planning to make sure that all the details are sorted out. Working exclusively with him as our project manager was excellent, he was highly capable.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their passion for the work and attentiveness really stood out. Many contractors will just come and go, but they really embrace the project. They became part of our team and showed a lot of passion for the project, which is rare in that industry when you’re contracting out.
Are there any areas they could improve?
On both ends, we didn’t plan sufficiently enough at the beginning for the scale we ultimately wanted to achieve. I think that’s natural for any business partnership. We don’t know what we don’t know. In hindsight, there might have been a little more we could’ve done on both our ends and theirs to think long term about setting up a platform that’d be able to scale.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Know what you want and understand that their strength is figuring out how to build it and making sure all the details are covered. If you need some guidance, Dmitriy is knowledgeable of different industries. When you give them a vision, they’ll ensure no stone is left unturned.
Neologic’s solution increased efficiency across the HR department, allowing several resources to pursue other responsibilities within the company and resulting in an increase in productivity. Along the way, the team worked to understand the business and provide a fresh, tailored solution.
