I’m the founder of a strategic consultancy and training company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Nanotech Soft N App IT Solutions?

Nanotech helped me build an online tool. I have developers, but I just decided to get it done externally to inject some fresh blood into it.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They created a web application that is a visual design tool. They took the concepts of a brainstorming session and created a series of printed triangles. Then, the app prints the output, and you can make one of them in your home. 

To start the project, we went through some key outputs and what the app needed to do. Then, we did another revision where we went through and added the copy and the layout. The app is mobile-optimized and supposed to be responsive, but I haven’t tested it yet. The app isn’t publicly available on the App Store or Google Play Stores; it’s only available for use through my site.

They then installed the app onto our servers as well.

Komal (Personal Software Consultant) was my main point of contact. I didn’t deal with their team.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested less than $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together in May 2020. They’ve finished the project, but I might get them to do the updates if I need it. Also, if I need to develop another project, I might get them to develop it.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’m happy with the results. The application looks good, and it functions exactly the way that I wanted it to. For version one, it's quite good, and I'm impressed. There were quite a few revisions, but ultimately, it was nothing that we couldn’t resolve.

How did Nanotech Soft N App IT Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

In terms of meeting deadlines, they were pretty good. We communicated a lot in WhatsApp after-hours; whether it was Sunday night or Saturday morning, they would usually respond fairly quickly. I didn't use project management tools because this wasn't my project. When we build apps internally, we usually use project management tools.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They followed the instructions. Komal was pretty clear upfront on the scope. It was good overall, so I don't have anything negative to say.

Are there any areas they could improve?

This isn’t really important, but there was a language barrier at times. English isn't Komal’s first language, so sometimes communication was a bit difficult, but it wasn't anything detrimental; we figured it out. I don't really care what language you speak, as long as we get everything done correctly.

Any advice for potential customers?

Speaking from our experience, these IT projects can have scope creep. Make sure that you identify your needs upfront and how there will be some variation on it as you get into it. Understand that it’s version one, and that was what I told them from the beginning. I just wanted to see if this whole concept can work; it was more of a test or an experiment. The results look good, and the app does what it's supposed to do.

I needed help with web design.

They helped with the website design. The website is built in Magento and PHP. They gave us multiple options to choose from in a short amount of time. They completed the entire website, including the control panel, within 75 days, including a lot of changes.

It was very fast. In a limited time period, they did the best that could be done. They had good manpower in-house and didn’t source any of their work from outside.

They’re really supportive. Even during the lockdown, they had us on phone calls and team meetings. Everything was discussed even though we never met face-to-face. I have confidence in them. I don’t have to tell them several times for them to understand.

What did you find most impressive about them?

If I want to update something on my website or develop again, I will hire them again with no second thoughts.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They don’t work on Saturday or Sundays. It would be nice if they did.

I am the owner of Textdrip. We are a business texting platform operating in the United States.

I needed an API that would clean up phone numbers and send to our system. This API allowed us to integrate with third party platforms like Zapier that send data to us in a variety of formats.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I found them through a business networking group. Seemed very professional and knowledgeable about my industry.

They met with me via zoom, took notes on the scope of project, sent me a detailed proposal and began work once I approved the proposal and budget. Upon completion of work we did a zoom screenshare together to verify the API worked to my satisfaction and then I completed payment

The API works great, we were able to implement it immediately with no issues to date.

They were highly recomended from a known source of mine and also personally evaluated their previous work.

In that app, two modules were developed 1. Admin Panel for service provider 2. Customer panel to scrolls through services and raise request for deep cleaning in their office, home or factory etc. . Also payment gateway was integrated for direct transactions in service provider account.
