I’m eCommerce Manager in Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń Europa. We are one of the top insurance brands in Poland. We specialize in B2B suport (including bancassurance) and innovative products.

We hired N7 Mobile to develop and maintain Screenity mobile application both for Android and iOS platforms. We aimed to be pioneers on the Polish market when it comes to insuring phone screens with mobile applications. Our plan was to launch the application in 2018 and maintain it for the foreseeable future.

N7 Mobile contacted us with a prepared MVP product. We really liked the product and decided to team up with the company. We verified their project portfolio and after some time decided to sign the contract.

The project goal was to offer an easy and comfortable way to insure mobile screens within the application. We tried to automate the process as much as we could and shorten the response time for our customers.

In order to do so, almost everything is happening within the application. N7 Mobile provided us with technology to verify if the phone screen is working correctly and with algorithms to check flaws on the screen. Apart from that, they prepared UX and UI designs and developed the rest of the application.

When it comes to N7 Mobile, we were working with a project manager, 4 mobile developers, and a designer. Since the application is on the market we are doing maintenance and adjustments with a smaller team (just a PM and 2 developers).

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We are very happy about the project and we can call it a definite success. I cannot disclose specific numbers but our downloads are still increasing just like contract rates.

It’s hard for me to recall the specifics of the development (it was 3 years ago – time flies). I don't remember any flaws in their work process. As for the maintenance, N7 Mobile is responsive and I cannot complain about a single thing.

The most important and impressive thing is that we have the same vision and went straight for it. We feel like N7 Mobile is our partner with this project, not only the contractor that built the app and left us after. I feel like this perspective is pretty unique nowadays.

I’m COO in Good Safe. We are a Polish startup coming up with a unique solution- the only, secure, digital place that guarantees the automatic execution of your instructions and the transfer of your will to loved ones or trusted persons when you need help or when you pass away.

We hired N7 Mobile to help us develop the MVP version of our service. They were responsible for the backend (AWS), frontend and graphical design of our solution. Our main goal was to build a standalone MVP which we could showcase to our potential partners. In the process, we wanted to test AWS capabilities to host our service since our product requires a unique architecture.

We had few options while looking for the development team but we found N7 Mobile the most suitable for our endeavor. Their experience in the field and the courage to experiment were the main reasons we ended up signing the contract.

The main idea behind the project was to give our customers constant access to documents, insurance, bills, payments, wills, medical records, or other important information about which your loved ones should be informed in the event of customer’s death or coma. We focused primarily on security, scalability and reliability. In the first phase of the project users were given the possibility to:

• store their files in designated folders
• share their files with each other
• have secure access to their files (users had to enter an encrypted key in order to open the file)

The project team consisted of N7 Mobile’s:

The project is still in the MVP phase but we met our requirements and we currently have v. good understanding of the limitations of our architecture and of our solution. We are satisfied with this iteration of the project.

We were working at a very fast pace (we had a very close deadline to meet) but together we were able to find good communication patterns (we had project meetings at least once a week and phone call meetings in between). After each milestone, we received a report containing information about project progress and budget spent.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was impressed by the clear, open communication, and how N7 Mobile cared about the outcome of the project. They shared our vision and were able to turn it into reality in a really short period of time. Experience, open communication and willingness to support at every stage resulted in accurate hints and solutions that we, as a startup, needed.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing comes to mind. I wish everyone such an agile team that understands budgetary constraints and at the same time tries to create a product that best suits the needs of customers.

Grupa Radiowa Agory Sp. z o.o., a part of Agora SA Media Holding is one of the largest radio broadcasters in Poland. GRA is an owner of Information Radio TOK FM (broadcasting in 19 polish cities) and three networks of local radio stations including:

Zlote Przeboje (24 cities), Rock Radio (7 cities) and Radio Pogoda (4 cities). GRA also provides the music streaming service Tuba.FM and full archives of Radio TOK FM podcasts.

"TOK FM - Podcasty i Radio" - the radio and podcast mobile application for our audio live and on-demand content, with has hundreds of thousands listeners each day.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to reinvent and give a graphical boost and better "look&feel" to our previous application. The most important requirement during the process was to keep all the already existing features inside the application and to give our users a new experience that would still be similar to what they were used to.

How did you select N7 Mobile?

We have had previous experience with N7 Mobile company. They were subcontractors in some of our mobile projects. We felt confident in giving them more responsibility in the whole process. They also met our budget expectations.

Describe the project in detail.

"TOK FM - Podcasty i Radio" is a mobile application for our listeners around the world. We offer them quality content produced daily by a number of our editors in fields like politics, economy, culture and many others.

We already had applications on the market but they were getting a little bit outdated so we decided to redesign and rewrite them with N7 Mobile. In general, our application has 2 types of users:

1. Subscribers who have paid access to the whole library of our podcasts.
2. Users who can access our live radio streaming for free. Main features present in the application:

• Live radio - with a timeline that allows users to identify which program will be playing next and which was played previously.
• Podcast player - in addition to regular audio player functionalities we provided TOK FM app users with: - downloading podcasts, - fast forward feature, - setting a podcast as favourite.
• Search engine with recommended tags and editors profiles.
• Radio schedule with a calendar and quick access to podcasts by date.
• User account with personalized lists of podcasts. N7 Mobile was responsible for designing UX and UI for both applications (iOS and Android), development of all features inside the application (based on our API), testing and releasing the application.

What was the team composition?

The team consisted of: project manager, 2 UX/UI designers, 2 iOS developers and 2 Android developers and 1 tester. They were supported by our product and project managers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

"TOK FM - Podcasty i Radio" mobile application is a very important part of our online revenue stream and even more important as a way to connect with our listeners. The most important change was the way in which we can present our content to the listeners.

It has become much more interesting and we could see an increase in user interactions in the application and higher volumes in subscription sales. The second important factor was the rise of our score in Google Play and App Store. Our apps were able to increase the score by about 2.0 points which we thought was pretty impressive.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project was conducted in scrum methodology with two-week sprints. We had access to N7 Jira to have a constant view of the work progress. In my opinion, it was very effective, we were able to express our issues and doubts and they were addressed in an effective way in the span of a sprint or two.

Thanks to the very good communication with the project manager and the project team, we were able to release a successful product that was well received by our listeners.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We were most impressed by the great communication and great commitment of all people working in the project. N7 Mobile was able to give us a lot of interesting and - what is more important - valuable information about the mobile market and mobile applications standards. We are still working together with N7 on this product - which is probably the best recommendation of their competences.

Talkin’Things is a high tech company providing the smart packaging solution for the most recognized brands. I am a project manager responsible for coordination of the key software R&D project within the company.

The developed software is a proxy and configuration maintenance service responsible for the managing of our IoT hardware. The main goals of the software are:

5. Admin panel
6. and backup data storage.

The scope of the project was to create a small module, which could be preinstalled on the user devices as a part of the operating system, which is able to present recommended services for the user and can be used to provide rich communication with our customers.

In order to communicate with the Android module, N7 Mobile had to create a custom frontend & backend. The whole solution is maintained by the N7 Mobile since then.

The CityFit app was the first mobile application developed in our company. We have always pushed for the quality and innovation of our services, so the mobile app was a reasonable way to proceed.

The workflow was very smooth. We have communicated on the daily basis and the Project Manager has addressed any important issues before they posed a threat to the development process.

We needed a library implementation for a mobile push communication solution that could be used in third-party applications. We had no in-house mobile developers, so we outsourced to N7. 

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted the library to integrate seamlessly with existing and future applications as well as with our web interface. We would then be able to use various channels such as Apple Push Notification Service, Google Cloud Messaging, and later, Firebase Cloud Messaging to communicate with our clients and display notifications in an engaging way.

The solution, which has been successfully implemented since 2014, has improved the efficacy of our communication with clients via rich automated and manual notification formats. N7 honors our signed Service Level Agreement by reacting to all issues in a timely manner.

We needed to create an updated version of our internal employee application by rebuilding existing apps from scratch. Since we do not have in-house mobile developers, we decided to outsource the whole project—including the redesign—to an external company. 

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted an improved platform that offered functionalities to enhance operations such as employee phone management, employee and conference room searches, parking management, and internal accident reporting. It also needed to accommodate future additions from our roadmap. We required the app to have a professional, visually appealing interface that would complement our corporate style and deliver a better user experience.

Within about two weeks, they presented the initial user interface mockups for both Android and iOS. Following some internal discussion, we provided N7 Mobile with our feedback, and they began finalizing the mockups and preparing for development. After a nearly flawless launch of the first version, they continue to add more features on a recurring basis.

The project has been a huge success. Not only have 98% of our employees rated the new version as “useful” or “very useful,” but the management board has used this application as an example of what our company can create. We continue to hear positive feedback on the app’s usability and expect to hear more as we add even more functionalities in the future.

Our project manager was very responsive. With a new work-in-progress version presented to us every few weeks, we were familiar with the progress of development. Communication was excellent and conducted via email, Skype, or phone calls with either the project manager or the designer.

The app has been successfully deployed on the market and has received many positive reviews. The mobile design concept is now being used for the design of the entire product. The code they provided has been maintained since the release and the design seems to be long-lasting.

The workflow perfectly matches our needs. They are flexible and respond quickly to any changes. We have frequent meetings with the stakeholders either in person or in a teleconference. Their process is very transparent and they provide frequent updates.
