I’m the director of business development at ThermaSol Steam Bath and Smart Shower Systems Co. We do just that, we make steam showers for residential and commercial projects. That includes health clubs and fitness clubs. We also make steam rooms for residential home use in simple remodels or brand-new construction. Additionally, we make smart shower systems and digital shower valves. In my role, I oversee all aspects of the sales and marketing strategy for the US and globally.
What challenge were you trying to address with Motoza?
As the digital sector really continues to blow up, we found a need to further enhance our brand presence and awareness on all platforms; not just for social media but also through SEO. We brought Motoza on to handle our SEO strategy for the e-commerce and digital marketplace.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Our objectives are to rank high and be present when our prospective clients search for how to live a healthier lifestyle. Motoza was tasked to bring and elevate our brand awareness on SEO and through our website. We meet once a week to go over where we’re ranking with keywords. Our company has a lot out there that we need to fire on as far as cylinders. We’re up against household brand names.
We do PPC on-and-off as well as Google Ads. We have seasons for our niche market so we intentionally try and target by season. Our team is receptive to feedback in sectors where we aren't comfortable in. Motoza recommends opportunities and algorithms based on best practices and trends.

How did you come to work with Motoza?
We wanted to partner with someone local. Our team did our due diligence and research. Motoza ranks as one of the best — if not, the best — in the Austin area in terms of SEO and digital marketing strategy.

On average, we’ve invested between $30,000–$50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing engagement started around January 2017.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve grown on average by 6% year-over-year in terms of people visiting our website. In certain months, we were up toward 12%–18% month-to-month. We have peaks and valleys due to our seasons. However, the fact that we’ve had growth even during the pandemic is a blessing.
We went from not ranking in the top 100 for keywords to now being in the top 10 for the majority of the keywords we’re targeting. That’s been great to see. Motoza has brought a balance to the secondary verbiage of our market.
Yasmeen is open and honest. She gives us direct feedback on what we need to do in order to achieve the goals we have for our company. She’s approachable and always on top of her game. Yasmeen stays ahead of the curve and brings us new ideas and tidbits on how to be better.
How did Motoza perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re very detailed and visual. We hold Zoom and Skype meetings and have a lot of face-to-face correspondence. Their team utilizes PowerPoint, Excel, and videos to lay things out to us in a nice presentation. They highlight where our paths lie and our potential. They’re detailed toward the path we can go down in order to maintain and achieve our budgetary goals.
What did you find most impressive about them?
When we call, they’re quick to answer and respond. With other providers I’ve worked with, they get lost in the weeds with their larger clients. I don’t feel that way with Motoza. As their customer, we’re always being thought of and the right amount of attention is being paid to us.
After every meeting, there’s always a detailed summary of what we talked about as well as simple addresses or responses to our goals during the meeting. They keep a pulse on our long-term goals as well. We truly feel that we’re in the care of their business.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, nothing comes to mind. It’s been almost five years, and they’ve exceeded our expectations.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Do your due diligence. Don’t just settle for companies that have the major market players and box stores. A more personalized company like Motoza always deserves the benefit of the doubt because of their service. They’re dying to perform at a high level for you.

I own Mantis Massage, a deep tissue massage therapy clinic.
What challenge were you trying to address with Motoza?
We had opened a second location and we were very busy at our first location all the time, so we thought that would be true for the second location also. It was a big flop for the first few months, so I got in touch with Motoza.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Motoza does all of our SEO and digital marketing with Google AdWords. They also write content for our blogs and for our website pages.

I interacted with five different teammates, including Andrew (Managing Partner), but I worked primarily with three people.
How did you come to work with Motoza?
I had been working with another company that was twice as expensive and wasn’t doing a good job. I was looking for a new SEO company and I met Motoza at a networking event. Andrew seemed to really listen to our struggles. They seemed like a good fit.
How much have you invested with them?
We spend about $3,000–$4,000 a month, including the ad budget.

We began working with them in January 2017, and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They turned everything around right away, so we quickly became very busy within just a few months of working with them. We went from having one operable location to our second location actually being our busiest one. Before COVID-19, we had five rooms booked there 12 hours a day. It was a good investment.
How did Motoza perform from a project management standpoint?
Motoza sends me lots of reports every month showing the conversions and they use project management tools. I like communicating with them via email, and they’re open to that.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What makes Motoza different from other SEO companies we’ve worked with is that they listened to what we wanted to do and got an idea of what they needed to provide. They visited our clinics to see what our business was all about, and they communicated what they need to do very well.
They also asked a lot of questions to get a complete understanding of what we needed to do. Other companies tried to get us to push the spa angle, but that’s not what we are. Motoza really heard us instead of going with industry norms.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I would love it if they monitored our booking schedule and allotted Google AdWords spending based on that. That’s probably unrealistic, though.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Sit down with them and tell them everything you need and want. Motoza will listen and put a plan in place.

I work for a brokerage real estate firm with two offices, one in Austin, Texas, and one in Dallas, Texas. I take care of all the websites and the CRM in order to grow business as much as possible.
What challenge were you trying to address with Motoza?
They’re a third-party marketing service that we hired to increase the flow of traffic to our website, along with increasing our lead generation and conversion rates. We wanted our website to be the most recognizable real estate website in Austin and Dallas.

They help us with AdWords marketing campaigns and help us with Paperclip for lead generation to help our SEO. We want to be at the top of SERPs for our key searches. They stayed with us as we switched hosting providers multiple times.

I’m the president of Shade-Outdoor Living Solutions. We sell exterior shade products such as retractable patio shades. Our primary customers are residential home owners.
What challenge were you trying to address with Motoza?
We initially hired them for SEO, but they’ve also worked on Google Ads campaigns.

They optimized the content on my website, but they also rebuilt several pages.

I’ve worked with Carlos (Managing Partner), Yasmeen (Senior Account Manager), Serena (Search Marketing Manager), and a fourth person.
How did you come to work with Motoza?
I like working with local businesses because I like investing locally and I like meeting face-to-face. I searched online for highly-rated SEO companies in Austin. I interviewed a few companies before finally selecting Motoza. Their proposal was more detailed and relevant to my needs than any of the others I received. They’re also small enough that they’re flexible and they worked with me to make sure I could afford the project.
How much have you invested with them?
I spent about $2,000–$3,000 initially to get the site up to speed. Since then, I’ve paid for intermittent development work on top of our monthly fee of $1,000 for site maintenance (approximately $38,000–$40,000 in total).

The engagement began in December 2017 and is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They’ve managed to meet all of our goals. Traffic to the site is consistently growing. We’re now ranking ahead of our main competitor in most local search terms. The site usually ranks on the first page, and usually in the first two search results. More importantly, the site is always in the Google 3-Pack. Every year, we continue to improve. We’re now ranked in new markets, on different pages, and for different product categories.
How did Motoza perform from a project management standpoint?
They provide a monthly report on how we’re doing and every year, we meet for a yearly review. I continue to work with them because I think we get a lot of bang for our buck and they always deliver what they promise.
Most of our communication is via email, but we’ve had two in-person meetings for specific project we wanted to explore. In those meetings, we use whiteboards and looked at our competitors’ sites to talk about product niches. For me, it was very valuable to have those conversations in person.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They outlined a plan that they were able to execute. Then when I asked them to make changes to accommodate my new product line, they were flexible and still hit our goals.
They’re also very responsive. When I have a question or an issue, they just take care of it. They also take initiative and address problems as they occur.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t have any criticism for them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
New clients should provide a very descriptive term sheet and ask Motoza how they plan to address the project. They’ll come back with some questions and compare their responses to other agencies. In my opinion, they stood out from the competition and I think potential customers will agree.

One of my oldest clients has his own company. I asked if he could recommend someone that would be good for SEO. He recommended Carlos (Managing Partner), and from there, he called me. After a nice conversation, we hired Motoza.
I really liked how honest and straightforward Carlos was. He didn’t make bold promises that he wasn’t going to deliver. He also told me that it would take some time and that I needed patience for it.

Motoza is fantastic. My company is a small little company that’s in a huge fishbowl. Being in Manhattan, there are thousands and thousands of businesses, making it extremely competitive.
Motoza took my small company and gave them a prominent position. Over the past four and a half years, there’s been an increase in web traffic, visitors, and time spent. I have a lot of visitors calling and coming in; it’s been extraordinary what they’ve been able to do. I’m really happy with them.
If they mess something up, they take full responsibility and fix it. I can’t imagine working with anybody besides Yasmeen. If I have certain questions about the site, she’s great at analyzing and giving great advice.
How did Motoza perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re good with deadlines. I appreciate that they stay on me and get what they need because I’m not necessarily good at deadlines.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I can always count on them to do the right thing. No company is completely perfect, but what I appreciate is that they will fix anything immediately. They can handle everything. Because I know they’re that way, I can give them the freedom to do what they want to do. I trust them, and if I don’t like something, they’ll just fix it. That’s rare to find in a company.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Sometimes their communication needs to be a bit clearer. There have been times when I’ve been thinking a certain way, and I thought that we were on the same page, but weren’t. It would’ve been solved quicker if we communicated faster.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I wouldn’t hesitate to work with them. Out of all the companies and vendors I work with, they’re my favorite company. I am happy to pay those bills more than any other.
