We tasked the agency with creating a prototype for a multifaceted, multistakeholder digital system. Understanding that this prototype was a testbed for innovative ideas rather than an immediate implementation, the agency ventured beyond conventional solutions, infusing creativity and daring attitude into their design. 

At the end of our collaboration with Motka they delivered the platform prototype, meeting our precise expectations. The final product was a sophisticated two-wing system, wonderfully designed to respond to the needs of two distinct yet connected audiences, the B2C one (end-consumers) and B2B one (professional vendors).

The development of the digital platform went through a series of well-defined iterations, consistently delivering enhancements within set scopes and timelines. This approach resulted in clear, measurable progress, clearly seen in form of the evolving prototype and our adherence to planned schedules. Each iteration brought tangible improvements, and an overall successful evolution of the platform into a meaningful and user-centric solution.

The team's ability to listen and truly collaborate with us was invaluable. They paid meticulous attention to the nuances of our request, which had many layers and specificities. Yet, their engagement was not mere execution of our ideas. Instead, they engaged critically and constructively, acting as a sparring partner that enriched the development process through open dialogue and insightful inputs. 

Their professionalism in digital system design is evident in their deep knowledge of various tools and techniques, underpinned by years of experience in the field. This expertise translated into a product that was not only functional but also aesthetically striking.

The developed prototype was met with enthusiastic responses during user testing, with frequent comments like 'how cool!' and 'what a sleek design'. Moreover, our client, the commissioner of this system, was thoroughly pleased with the final outcome, underscoring the agency’s success in meeting diverse expectations. Beyond this professional excellence, working with the Motka team was a personal pleasure. The experience was inspiring and informative, making the collaborative journey as enjoyable as it was productive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Motka Design Studio could have done differently?

While initially a bit apprehensive about Motka Design Studio's approach of taking longer periods for autonomous work, a 'progress bar' or similar indicator during these phases would have been reassuring. Although we grew confident in their process with time, such a feature could enhance transparency and increase clients' 'peace of mind', especially in early stages.

I'm CEO at GlobalLab. We are an online educational platform that helps schools, teachers, students and their parents to create collaborative research projects.

For what projects/services did your company hire Motka Design Studio?

We hired Motka to prototype new functionality and optimize current pathways of the user interface of our platform, as well as to create a new look & feel for our brand. Current design was ten years old and seemed outdated. We also needed a detailed UI-Kit to manage development of the interface.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We worked with Motka.Design earlier. They were the ones who designed our product UI 10 years ago. We were quite satisfied with the result they had provided at that time, and plus they were already familiar with the insights of our platform. So I decided to mail them. They promptly responded and quickly took on the project.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

The main challenge was to rework the confusing UX of the Project Wizard and redesign around 100 pages of UI. The guys did a great job with both tasks and offered many new great ideas. Also we asked Motka to help us with the logo and marketing materials (presentation, business card, stickers etc.)

The working process was organized efficiently - we had regular productive meetings and the deliverables were generally on time. Phil and Maria were rather flexible and creative in responding to all the changes we made as we went along the scope.

We had Phil as art director, Maria as chief UX/UI designer, Elena as product manager. There were other members of the Motka. Design team who were working on the project, but we didn't communicate with them directly.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Yes, we have already launched MVP with a new UI in Spanish, and English languages and we continue implementing new design features, which require some backend work. https://globallab.online/en

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The communication was clear, very well organized, and we were aware of what's going on with the project and what to expect next. We have provided the initial scope requirements and were clarifying them along the way through the voice calls. Motka designers were delivering UI templates in Figma and we quickly put them in production.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The level of performance. For the last 10 years their expertise in UX/UI has become solid - they understood our task precisely and almost didn't do anything superfluous. I really appreciate our collaboration with Motka, and we continue to work with them to support the GlobalLab design wise.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not in our case.

I'm the former CTO for RealAtom and now serve on the board of advisors. It is a marketplace for commercial real estate loans.

We needed someone to design UI/UX for our SaaS-enabled marketplace.

We provide them with requirements and market studies. We give them our general vision, values, and branding, and their designers and brand experts help us define everything more thoroughly. They come back to us with clickable prototypes created in Figma, and we work through an agile review cycle where they address our comments and deliver final results. 

They also help us design marketing materials and presentation decks.

We work with a team of three people. There is a UI/UX designer, a UI/UX strategist, and a project manager who handles the administrative side of everything.

We’ve invested between $50,000–$60,000 so far.

We began working with them in March 2018, and the project is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We were able to raise our funding, and our user adoption has been increasing. Our engagement on the platform has also remained at 75%. 

How did Motka Design Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

They provide great project management, and are both responsive and collaborative. We use Slack for communication and Jira for project tracking. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have incredible design skills.

When it comes to relaunching the website or adding a new feature to the product we call Motka to help us understand what kind of value can we give our customers through using our service via interfaces and CJM. Motka is great in extracting this value and packing it in the interface of the product.

Can you share any outcomes from the engagement that demonstrate progress or success?

Customers engagement raised 3 times with launching a renewed SCAN powered by Motka. Visits to the website raised 5 times after launching a new version of the website of SCAN. It gave us +50% revenue within 2 years and additional customers.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We had regular calls and synced. Motka is always ready to contact with you and discuss any topics you are concerned with.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We're impressed with their ability to accomplish the most complicated tasks and beautifully pack them into interfaces.

I'm the former head of branding at Algorithmics Coding School. It's an international franchise school that offers coding courses for children.

We needed help with rebranding our company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Motka Design Studio handled every part of the rebranding process; they're an end-to-end solution, from strategic planning and brand development to creative, concept design, and delivery, including UI/UX design and building websites for us.

At the start, we gave them some information, and then they helped us develop a proper brief for them to understand our needs and what needed to be done. They also did the design, logo, and color schemes using Figma.

We worked with their managing director, account manager, and 3–4 designers.

They were referred by a former coworker that had worked with them before and was happy with the experience.

We spent around $150,000 on this project.

We worked together from September 2020–July 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They were always helpful and professional in helping us steer the project, which was a very important metric. We launched it and rolled it out across 40 different markets, using the deliverables they created.

How did Motka Design Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was good in terms of deadlines and budget. Also, there were no surprises, and everything ran smoothly.

In terms of tools, we used Trello, Notion, and Jira. For communication, we used Zoom, Google Meet, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They gave a lot of thought to consumer interaction through UI/UX.

I don't think there's anything they can improve on.

Trust their expertise because they know what they're doing in design — they propose fresh and unique ideas.

I'm CEO at a digital agency. We are a small developing agency that helps other companies and startups to launch and grow their projects.

For what projects/services did your company hire Motka Design Studio?

We hired Motka to do designs for our startup — a voting platform based on blockchain technology. We needed the brand identity and product UI design.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Our partners recommended Phil and his company. We found the work we liked in their portfolio. They had a call with us and we discussed our project in great detail. After that we were convinced of their level of understanding and started the project.

The main goal was to design UX/UI for a voting platform. Also, we asked Motka to help us with the logo and all promotion and information materials for investors such as pitch deck, flyers and billboards. Their designers had regular meetings and calls with our team. They were very patient and flexible with all the changes we brought along the way. After all, we got our presentation materials in time and they were awesome. We got quite confident during our pitches.

We worked in close cooperation with Phil, art director. Elena was the project manager and Natalya was the designer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We didn’t launch the platform but extensively used all the materials Motka had created for us during our seed stage.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The process was quite smooth. They took a lot of responsibility in the UI design area and gave us some good advice on the product side and UX. All the time we had direct communication. Phil and Natalya were very responsive and promptly implemented all the feedback we provided.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We're impressed by the quality of the design work and critical insights in UX. They have added a certain depth to our project.

We got several proposes, but after reviewing we chose Motka. Motka Design Studio was experienced in UI/UX design and knew what they were doing.

We had Agile development process. After several discovery calls, we set divided project into stages, determine sprints for the first one and injected it.

Very good mockups, also they provided support with codding.

I was impressed with their knowladge about web design. At the early beginning they try to understand our business needs and after follow the plan.
