Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Sr. Producer at a large consumer production company with a Global brand.
For what projects/services did your company hire Motion Jelly, and what were your goals?
We had a partnership with HBO's new show House of the Dragons and needed to create video content that integrated the show with our product. Our goal was to create a dynamic piece of content that seamlessly integrated our product with the TV show and intertwined the elements of the show within the world our product lives in.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We knew that animation would be a key component to getting this done. We chose Motion Jelly because out of the 90 vendor creative responses we received, their creative approach to the content was the strongest and truly reflected an understanding of the challenges at hand.
They also communicated to us a deep passion for the work that made us feel that they were as invested with this very important project as we were. They showcased a level of expertise that was far and beyond the budget. They put together an A-tier of talented artists, audio and color house that truly elevated the work far beyond our expectations.
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.
We had 1 30 sec video with 15 sec and 6 sec cut downs in a variety of sizes. This was an animation project so the production was all post driven. We provided some key assets that Motion Jelly had to then weave into the animation seamlessly.
Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?
I primarily worked with Sean as my lead contact. As he was in New Zealand and we are East Coast US - there was a time difference, but we all aligned on a window of time for each review cycle where we could get on the phone to review notes. We had multiple cycles of review. By the end, the notes were so minimal that we were able to provide final communication via email.
Sean was extremely responsive at all turns. He made it a point to be available well before his working hours during our working day, as I did the same on the back end, staying up late into the night in case there were any questions or things that needed to be troubleshot.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The result was a truly phenomenal video (with cut downs). Rarely have I seen across the board at my company the excitement I did for the work that Motion Jelly did. Furthermore - part way into the project the deadline was moved up 2 weeks. Sean did not even for a minute hesitate. He committed his team to getting the work done in an expedited manner. We had a hard deadline and he delivered still 2 days early.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Motion Jelly truly cared about this work. it was apparent from pitch to delivery. And their level of detail, creativity, and quality were world-class. I did not ever feel a moment of stress over the time difference. Sean communicated every step of the way and made sure to reach out to me daily, even if it was to give me a quick update. This was an extremely important project to my company, and I never once felt a moment of concern with Motion Jelly executing the work.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I say this rarely - but I will in this case...this project went flawlessly and there was nothing I would do differently.
The company was impressed with the video. The product was delivered two days ahead of schedule even though the deadline was moved up by two weeks. Motion Jelly worked hard and expedited the process, showing genuine care about the project. They were communicative and regularly updated the client.
