I was a developer lead on the project at the time. We specialized in custom web/mobile applications.

For what projects/services did your company hire Mosano, and what were your goals?

We wanted a developer that could help both accelerate the project and be able to collaborate on many implementations we would need to figure out in development. Having a prior successful project with them, we knew they'd be able to provide a developer that would integrate well with our team and act as a partner in development.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had worked with them before on a variety of different projects. So we knew they'd be up for the task and having a more innovative project, we felt they'd be able to find the right developers to help us. We were looking for a partner, not just another programmer.

They have shown before that they value working on challenges TOGETHER, and that makes a very appealing team composition in leading technology projects where there are many unknowns to solve for.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We needed to design a web, native, and automation platform that was quick to iterate and prove out many concepts at once. We started with the prototyping phase to work out some of the beginning ideas. We needed to integrate with an external team's legacy API and ran into many challenges.

Mosano team did a fantastic job working with the various teams to get a better understanding of the systems and we were able to successfully implement them into the new applications.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We started with one person on the team, a more senior lead developer role that helped figure out many solutions. We scaled up with three of their developers to accelerate the project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We successfully completed 1 phase of the project early. This allowed us to kick off the next phase quickly, instilled confidence in our external partners, and landed us the next phase of the project. The same team continued on with us until the project was put on hold for external factors at the time.

Though later the project would get picked up again and the same team was reached out to work on it due to the amazing results from the previous phases.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

We used agile to manage a lot of the process. We use a more self-organizing team and the Mosano team thrived working within agile. We used a variety of communication tools from Slack, Google Meets and Zoom. The Mosano team communicated well which allowed for great collaboration.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

How much our developers grew together with them during the challenges of the project. We felt like the Mosano team was interested in helping our developer as much as their own. It truly did feel like one team.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not at this time. We did our retrospective with them and they were always willing to both hear feedback and give feedback. So my advice would be to let them know what to improve and they will get on it very quickly as they always seem hungry to improve themselves.

I’m the medical director of Mundipharma, a multinational pharmaceutical industry with more than 20 independent companies.

What challenge were you trying to address with Mosano?

We hired them to help us incorporate AI into a product aimed to support diabetic people. 

What was the scope of their involvement?

They are focusing on the UX/UI of our web platform. They’ve designed and built the website for us, working on both the internal and customer-facing side. Their team uses React.js and Node.js. 

What is the team composition?

I’ve worked with at least 4–5 people. 

How did you come to work with Mosano?

We knew we were going to need an additional partner to support us, so I followed a few recommendations from our existing partner. We spoke to three vendors, but Mosano had the strongest performance during our calls and they gave us great examples of their work. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $50,000 on their services. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2019 and our engagement is ongoing. 

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Their work was a truly great surprise because of their good product delivery. Looking at the process, everything they’ve done has been done the right way.

There were a few things we had to correct, but overall people like the platform and it’s strong. A few of the end-users, who are medical doctors, have appreciated the design aspects. 

How did Mosano perform from a project management standpoint?

We try to use email so everything is documented, but we occasionally use phone calls to catch up and explain things. Our teams also use Trello to track the project.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

The people on their team make them stand out — they really want to help and are dedicated to the work itself. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, because I’m really comfortable with the product we have from them. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Work with them — you will not be disappointed.

I am CTO of Humankind. We are an asynchronous communication platform between brand experts and customers to allow for a bespoke bespoke shopping experience we are calling H-Commerce. We work with global high level brands and service millions of their customers.

For what projects/services did your company hire Mosano, and what were your goals?

We needed to build out our engiineering team and need some node/typescript/cloud expertise. The folks we were finding stateside were either out of budget, or snatched up quickly by bigger companies. Mosano was able to help us onboard someone that is an integral part of the team today and has really taken ownership of our cloud infratrtucture and security - while being a top notch code contributor of our customer facing UI's.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Our lead engineer hadpreviously worked with Mosano and had hired 2 engineers. That opened the conversation to approach Mosano to find the perfect fit for us.

We have a very rapid moving and kanban style development process with continuous intergration and delivery to production. Our stack is nodejs on the backend on a serverless architecture using AWS, Svelte on the frontend, and AWS CDK for Infrastructure as code. Everything is in Typescript Our resource from Mosano works the entire stack.

1 person working as a full stack cloud native software engineer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Chris is very knowledgeable and helps level up the team by teaching what he learns. His submitted work is clean and precise and written following SOLID design principles.

We use slack to communicate and like to over communicate since we are all globally distributed. Communication has a been excellent - both with Mosano and folks they have placed with us

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The quality of folks they find is amazing. Best I have worked with.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They are doing an excellent job. I always joke that should clone folks that they have placed with us. So if I HAD to pick something they can be better at - its human cloning :). j/k.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I was the Solutions Architect of a digital agency based in Houston.

For what projects/services did your company hire Mosano, and what were your goals?

We were working with a client to build a new social network that focuses on providing positive outcomes for people. We needed a development team to assist us in making the project happen. We reached out to Mosano to help build the API backend, the web application frontend, and the mobile application.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I found Mosano online and did some initial research. After a couple of phone calls, it was apparent their team was very skilled and would work well with both clients and other developers.

The Monsano team interfaced directly with our team and acted as an extension of the team. They participated in daily standup and collaboration with our designers and developers. The platform was built in JavaScript, Node, React, React Native, GraphQL, and MongoDB.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

During the course of the project, we worked with five members of the Mosano team. Mosano put a lead developer on the project to guide the development and then scaled up additional developers as needed to complete the work quickly.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were able to launch the first version of the product on time with Mosano's help. Their team also helped us in subsequent releases.

We communicated with the Mosano team every day through Slack and Zoom calls. Their team was very professional and easy to talk with.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The Mosano team has deep knowledge of how to build modern web and mobile applications. They are dedicated to their work and always wanted what was best for our customers.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Their team really did a fantastic job and we worked with them on more projects after this initial one. The main areas they can improve on are to continue building a team that lives up to their values and quality.

We provide a text-to-shop eCommerce platform for both B2C and B2B customers.

For what projects/services did your company hire Mosano?

We hired Mosano to augment and help accelerate our development team.

What were your goals for this project?

We are continually robustifying and expanding the scope of our core product.

How did you select this vendor?

We evaluated several potential vendors based on their proximity to our timezone, English proficiency, level of skill, value of services, eCommerce and mobile usage similarity to the US, and their past work and references from past clients.

Mosano was the clear winner on all counts. Their team was responsive and transparent from the beginning of our proposal process through to our day-to-day interactions with them.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

Mosano is helping us build out our core Vue.js / Typescript / Node.js / PostgreSQL platform. They've provided us with a pair of exceptional software engineers who easily enmeshed themselves into our development team.

We've also been able to lean on other members of Mosano when we had questions that were out-of-scope for assigned engineers.

What was the team composition?

Mosano provided us with one early and one mid-career full-stack engineer is work remotely alongside our in-house engineering team.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

We've been able to greatly accelerate the development of our core platform and reduce the hands-on needs for management and allow better focus for our in-house engineering.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We've done project management in-house using Agile Kanban methodologies. Their team has helped provide structure and cadence to daily engineering and stand-ups.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Mosano is extremely flexible. The entire on-boarding process was seamless. They've adeptly handled product pivots and last-minute new features. Their engineers are smart, humble, creative, and passionate. They really care about the work that they do.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I really can't think of any areas of improvement. Communication and responsiveness have been great -- which were not great with other outsourcing partners.
