We are a software company that offers workflow and fulfillment solutions for volume photographers. My roll in the company focuses on digital marketing efforts.

Our current site was certainly lacking and looked dated. The design wasn't great, there was virtually no UI, and it was incredibly difficult to update content. We needed a new website that showed us as the forward-thinking software company we set out to be.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

In searching for web designers, I was looking for a group that had a good track record with clients and created interesting and user friendly websites. Moontek checked all of the boxes. They design beautiful and dynamically interesting websites. When you are on their website or a site they've designed you want to stay a while. And the team has been great to work with!

After contacting Moontek, I heard back right away and we were able to being discussions on what goals we were looking to achieve with the new site redesign. Once the proposal was received and a contract signed, we were put in touch with our project manager and had an initial kick off meeting. The project is still ongoing. Moontek has a client portal that allows me to see production happening almost in real time. I can review designs and send changes in this portal where the entire team can see comments. Which is great because the development process isn't slowed down by a bunch of back and forth.

As the project is still ongoing, so far I've had contact with the owner and our project manager.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

There are not any outcomes to-date. Other than, my team and employer are thrilled with the work Moontek has produced so far. We are excited to see how this new look and branding will help drive business.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project manager was easy to communicate with and incredibly responsive to any requests. We are in a different time zone and had no problem getting prompt responses.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I appreciate how they really take our ideas and run with them to create a website that we can be proud of.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

So far I can't think of anything they could be doing differently to provide a better experience. I have worked with firms in the past where you find out that you end up having to do a lot of the leg work and that is just not the case with Moontek.

I’m the creator and CEO of BooksBeatsBox.

What challenge were you trying to address with moontek?

I expected about 90% of my business to be online, and I needed a young web design team to provide up-to-date web and UX/UI design services. However, I also needed a firm that could implement a retro aesthetic.

What was the scope of their involvement?

moontek has designed my website and its UX/UI. They’ve helped me develop user personas and walked me through the entire process. The design moontek has decided to create is very retro. The retro design will appeal to my audience, which is composed of creators, musicians, and authors. They’ve used Figma for the design and explained every step of the process to me. Once we’ve finalized the design, moontek will complete the development process and launch the site.

I have direct contact with the developers, designers, and a project manager.

My engagement with moontek began in February 2022, and it’s ongoing. 

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We plan to launch the new site within the next 6–8 months — we want to launch in August 2022. moontek has helped me simultaneously build my knowledge and website — they’ve kept me up-to-date on the latest web design trends. moontek is very intuitive and comes up with exciting ideas before I can, implementing them straight away, which pushes me in the right creative direction. 

How did moontek perform from a project management standpoint?

moontek sticks to my schedule and budget. We use monday.com to track project progress, and their team uses Figma for the wireframing. Generally, we communicate through text messages, Zoom, monday.com, and phone calls. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

moontek is professional and meticulous — they analyze every piece of the project with a fine-toothed comb. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

moontek is scaling up, and it would benefit them to hire more designers to push projects faster and expand their creative potential. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d advise customers to provide moontek with a plan for their project— I’ve provided them with a PowerPoint. moontek can pick out ideas from that plan and develop their own ideas to save customers money and time.

I’m a therapist, and I opened a clinic. I offer educational counseling services, timeline therapy (TLT), and more.

The team created my website using my photos, my clinic’s photos, resume, and qualifications. They also featured what I could offer to my clients and the general photos for each of the techniques I was using. As for other documentation, I provided them with articles of an Israeli newspaper’s interview with me.

I was lucky to have worked with them. In time, I’d have more clients through my website. Overall, I was very happy with their work.

Every time I gave them my feedback, they always agreed with me, which was the reason why I didn’t experience any convenience during our partnership. Our relationship was excellent because they were very professional. In addition, they were always efficient, and it was easy to leave a text message to get feedback and answers to my requests.

They offered a fair price compared to other providers I asked. On top of that, they promised to complete my project in a short period of time, and they were able to do that.

moontek revamped our website. We started by talking about the direction we wanted to go and the new UX we wanted for our customers. They created a lot of mockups, and I took what I liked from them to start tweaking things to get to the final product.

My assistant referred them to us. I decided to work with them because I liked their presentation, pitch, price point, responsiveness, and willingness to come up with storyboards and mockups before we signed the initial contract.

It’s too early to share metrics since the website has been online for around a week, but overall I can say they did fine based on my marketing experience.

They performed well at project management; they were responsive, communicative, followed up, and things didn’t take too long — I was delighted with that. In terms of tools, we used email, text messages, and phone calls.

They were flexible, fairly priced, and responsive; that’s what made them stand out from their competitors.

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on — I was satisfied with their work.

moontek helped develop our website from the ground up using WordPress. They implemented a lot of user-friendly functions, provided information for customers, and made it our primary conversion point for our clients.

One thing I can say is the quality of their design work was fantastic.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It may seem absurd, but nothing comes to mind. They were very forthcoming with our requests and I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

To a certain extent, trust the process and understand that they have more knowledge in this space than anyone. You’ll be in good hands with moontek as they’re very attentive and always available when you need them.

I am a part of the IT Project Management team for a production company within the Entertainment Industry.

For what projects/services did your company hire moontek?

Our website had been revamped a few years back by a third party company. We weren't looking to do an entire redesign of the site, just a particular page within the site. Our careers page was outdated and we were looking to implement a new api for our job listings as well. Moontek was able to help us without hesitation.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We weren't looking to do an entire redesign of the site, just a particular page within the site. Due to this, we were having difficulty finding a dev to work on our existing environment, and many suggested a revamp of the site instead of what we were asking for. Moontek without hesitation, were eager and very familiar in the environment our site was built on. They were more than confident in being able to provide exactly what we need in our short deadline.

After reaching out to them through their website, we got an immediate response in setting up the initial meeting to discuss our needs in further detail. Within this meeting, we stressed we were on a short and timely deadline that could not be adjusted. We also indicated our very opinionated stakeholders would like to be involved in every step of the process.

This seemed to be no issue on Moontek's site. They were able to provide mockups, stay organized in working within our deadline, and most importantly, were understanding of our situation and willing to work with us.

We had Ali who was our main point of contact who also seemed very involved in the project. It was a breath of fresh air to be communicating directly with the person in charge of the project and not through a liason who did not understand the technical aspect.

Moontek seemed very eager to work on our project and went above and beyond to ensure everything went off flawlessly. They exceeded expectations with the design and execution, in addition to ensuring everything was organized and maintained constant communication with us. This will no doubt result in us maintaining a relationship with Moontek as we continue to expand the company.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication is key with any project, and the fact that we were able to not only meet multiple times a week to provide updates, but also be able to have almost immediate responses was crucial to this public facing page. Moontek delivered in every way when it came to this. They had no doubt in being able to meet our timeline.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was definitely impressed by their eagerness and capabilities in terms of what they can deliver. I was initially impressed with their website as it was a testament of what they are able to create.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I would like to see a page on their site as a dedicated portfolio with a small summary on what every projects may have entailed so we can see something similar to what we are requesting.

I’m one of three partners of a CPA firm. We’re located in Calabasas, California.

What challenge were you trying to address with MoonTek?

They helped us create our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

MoonTek created our website from scratch. We initially had a meeting in person, which lasted a couple of hours. They walked us through the process and asked us what we had in mind for the design and information. We needed marketing for the CPA field, and they were attentive and listened well to our keynotes.

Then, they started working on the website. It took them about 2–3 weeks. They’re currently doing maintenance.

I work directly with the president and three other people. One of them is the director, and the others are a graphic designer and a content writer. The president is very young, but he’s social and polite.

When we compared them to other companies, their fee was pretty fair. Overall, we just liked the way they presented themselves. When we spoke on the phone the first time, we realized that we could rely on them better than the other people we’d already talked to.

We’re getting more hits now. Additionally, people are going over our website to get information. When we receive a call and ask where they’ve found us, they always refer to the site, so the impact is pretty high.

Also, they fulfilled the task, and the website was perfectly done. We’re 100% satisfied in that aspect. If we need to make changes, they’re responsive and prompt. We’ve had a good experience with MoonTek.

They’ve done an excellent job. Everything has been smooth, and the team has delivered on time. They’ve never asked for more money or charged us extra for an additional feature. Overall, MoonTek listens to us and pays attention to what we want. They’re always in contact, and working with them has been a good experience.

We communicate through emails, phone calls, and text messages. They’re responsive and accessible whenever we need them.

Their team has personality and character, and they’re pretty knowledgeable about what they do. Also, they’re very honest. They’ve never tried to change a contract or add anything to it.

For what projects/services did your company hire MoonTek, and what were your goals?

One of our main services is providing virtual staff to law firms. With scale, our proccesses in place were falling apart. We reached out to MoonTek to create us a new website to present all these virtual staff as well as manage them from an admin portal. Our goal was to improve the efficiency of the whole hiring and on boarding process

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

MoonTek caught our eye because of the clean designs as well as the fact that the owner went to UC Berkeley. One of our co-founders is also a UC Berkeley graduate so that really caught out eye. The deciding factor was the amazing communication we had during the scope and proposal stages. Ali, the owner of MoonTek really saw eye to eye with us in this project and this was very helpful!

We first set up a scope meeting where we clearly discussed the scope of the project and what it entails. Our platform eventually wants to compete with UpWork but we decided to start small with a version 1. The version 1 includes a few landing pages, a 'view candidates' page, and an admin portal to view, edit, and manage all the VAs. To the best of my knowledge, tech used was React and AWS

The only person we were in direct communication with was Ali. His developers were also amazing but we didn't talk to them directly.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The clean design of the landing pages has increased our conversion rates by 15% and the view candidates 'request' feature has made the sales process much easier. Most importantly, the amazing admin portal they created has made managing the VAs very easy.

Managing this was very smooth. We met with Ali a total of 3 times for the V1 and they handled everything else on their end. We will continue to meet for future versions of this project.

It's so impressive what a team Ali has put together. They promised us 1 month delivery and delivered in less than 2 weeks. We then requested some changes and they updated and delivered with those changes within 2 days. MoonTek has really impressed us!

I honestly can't think of anything they could've done better. We are so impressed with this whole project.

I hired moontek to add ADA features to my website along side giving it a little bit of a refresh in certain areas.

Based on this company‘s profile on clutch and the previous reviews I selected to use moontek as my primary web developer.

The primary factor was looking to add to my site with ADA features. They executed this flawlessly and gave me updates on how to improve areas where I didn’t know I needed to add certain features. They combed through my site and added all of the essential elements necessary to be within compliance.

A project manager and two full stack developers is what I needed to complete this job.

The goal was to have 80 a compliant features out of the website within a month and they did that flawlessly alongside adding some other features to make it a little more user-friendly. They did not have to do that but it is incredibly helpful to my business.
