WizTax
When WizTax reached out to us, they were looking to reduce their customer acquisition costs and further scale out their advertising budget efficiently. We heard their requests loud and clear.
Once we got them situated, we started our targeting broadly to define the avatars that were best. After some testing, we identified some winning audience and we defined some losing audiences.
After all, if you're not learning from your losses, it's fruitless.
We leaned into what was working well from an avatar and creative perspective. It took some further calibration to get things optimized, but once we did, they were off and moving!
This story isn't too different than many others at Monster Agency®. We define audiences, come up with creative that leverages a brands USP's and then begin our testing.
Staying active instead of reactive, is where the gold lies ahead for brands.

Digital Marketing for Laundromat & Consulting Company
"They really took the time to educate me so I can continue growing my businesses."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of a retail laundromat business and a consultancy where I coach people on how to become successful in the laundromat industry.
What challenge were you trying to address with Monster Agency®?
We developed a new laundry cleaning process that was unique to our area, so we needed someone to provide us with high-level marketing services to promote it.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Monster Agency® provides us with general digital marketing that mainly includes SEO, social media marketing, and PPC marketing for Google. Apart from that, they’ve also filmed and produced two commercial videos that essentially promote our products and services.
What is the team composition?
My main point of contact is Andrew (Founder), but I’ve also worked with their production crew that was headed by Adam (Video Department Head).
How did you come to work with Monster Agency®?
I came across one of their ads on Facebook so I reached out to them because I was impressed with how professional and aesthetically pleasing their content was.
How much have you invested with them?
We spend $2,000 a month for their digital advertising services and they charged us $12,000 to shoot two of our commercials.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our ongoing partnership started in January 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Since hiring Monster Agency®, our business has experienced a 25%–30% increase in revenue after plateauing 3–4 years prior. Anecdotally speaking, they’ve taught me a lot about digital marketing through our strategy sessions.
I value their knowledge since it helps me coach other people and understand what they’re doing — they really took the time to educate me so I can continue growing my businesses.
How did Monster Agency® perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management is fantastic because their process is really simple and efficient. They provide me with weekly data and analytics to see how the ads are performing, and they communicate with us consistently through Zoom, email, and phone calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What distinguishes them from their competitors is they price their high-quality services accordingly. They were initially above our price range but after talking with Andrew, I felt like working with them was a risk worth taking — I’ve had no regrets since then.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing they could improve on because they always deliver exactly what I want.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Monster Agency® wants to work with people who will appreciate them, so I would advise you to take care of them as a service provider. They bring a lot of value to me and my businesses, so I always wish they experience the same success.

Marketing & Advertising for Sports Cards Online Retailer
"I haven’t looked at my Facebook Business Suite in the past three months. They’ve done a great job."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I started an online retail business called Big Poppa Breaks. We take baseball and sports cards, as well as sports memorabilia, and get them out to adults and children. Our target audience is probably between 27 and 40-year-old men.
What challenge were you trying to address with Monster Agency®?
We were trying to increase our sales. I was doing Facebook Ads by myself, but I wasn’t getting any return on my ad spend. Since it wasn’t our strong suit, our goal was to get some help on advertising and marketing.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Monster Agency allows me to take my hands off of my Facebook and Instagram advertising — they’re a one-stop-shop. I initially gave them a package of 20 different stock photographs, and they sat down with me to get the nature of my business. Then, they took a week to do research on the industry and finally put those things together to create some photos, videos, gifs, and more content for ads.
Their whole focus has been on PPC. They get people to my site through advertisements on Facebook and Instagram. They’ve been creative with the things that they’ve come up with.
What is the team composition?
Now, I have two different people working with me consistently, but I’ve talked to 3–5 people overall. Both of them check in with me and send me a weekly update with a stat sheet. One of the gentlemen is in charge of the bookkeeping. The other one is working along with me as we scale, keeping our creatives fresh, tracking our ad spend, and overseeing what we do. He talks me through all of it.
How did you come to work with Monster Agency®?
I found them on Facebook. Once I started looking, iOS was all over me with advertisements for Facebook Ads. I got a couple of them and talked to a few other places, but when I sat down with Monster Agency, it just felt like they knew about sports. Also, they had a younger base of people and were US-based, which gave them a little more credibility and understanding of the US sports market.
Overall, I went with them because they gave me a better feeling.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $62,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together just three months ago, in March 2021. They had a 90-day retainer, and we plan to continue with them.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We started with $30 a day and have gone up to $300 a day in advertising. Furthermore, they’ve done a lot to scale my business in a short period. I’ve gone from about $30,000 a month to $125,000 a month in revenue.
How did Monster Agency® perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve performed very well and have done a great job on it. The team works well with customers and with each other. We mainly communicate by Slack, but we also use emails. It’s pretty easy to get a hold of them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Just the freedom that I’ve had since they’ve taken over everything. I don’t have to stress about anything. Monster Agency does everything I need in terms of Facebook Ads — creative, ad spend, prospecting, and so on. I haven’t looked at my Facebook Business Suite in the past three months. They’ve done a great job.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I think it would be helpful for them to improve a little their communication and understanding of the customer. I’ve asked them to slow down the ad spend on Mondays and Tuesdays because we’re off on those days. However, they’ve continued to spend the ads, probably because they get a percentage of them. However, I don’t want to pay $300 a day to send people to an empty website. In that sense, I don’t think they understand my workdays, work schedule, or where I’m coming from.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Communicate with them, and be prepared when you walk into that first consultation. When you get started with Monster Agency, you need to understand exactly what you’re looking for and articulate it well to help move things along quicker.
On another side, their cost is slightly higher than others, but they’ve done more than what I could’ve asked for.

Instagram & Facebook Ads Mgmt for Gaming Company
“They’re great people, and they’re easy to work with.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a co-managing partner at a gaming company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Monster Agency®?
We needed help with advertising new products.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Monster Agency helps us with Facebook and Instagram advertising. We met to explain our product and calibrate our ads. We gave them some of our content, and they do all of our postings. They also do a lot of A/B testing and prospecting.
What is the team composition?
We worked with Andrew (Founder) and Zach (Email Marketing Coordinator).
How did you come to work with Monster Agency®?
My partner was in the process of evaluating several agencies. He stumbled across Monster Agency, and their presentation made them stand out. From there, we decided to work with them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $12,000, not including ad spend.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in December 2020, and we wrapped up in May 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The aspects we looked at were sales growth and ROAS. We paid attention to their sales and how they compared with the first ad agency we worked with. Monster didn’t do well as the first agency, but they still did a great job. The first agency garnered $40,000 in sales and Monster got $22,000.
How did Monster Agency® perform from a project management standpoint?
They kept good communication with us, and we had bi-weekly meetings. We also had a shared Slack channel. They were very available throughout the project.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Zach was quite knowledgeable. We’re folks of detail, and he was extremely helpful whenever we had a question. Whenever we voiced any concerns, he would quickly funnel it up to the appropriate party on his team.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We caught some grammatical errors in their work, which should have been really easy for them to notice. We also had one incident where they spent beyond our budget. They apologized for the error, but I would have liked it if they gave us a partial credit for the next month. They’re great people, and they’re easy to work with.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice is to really know your product. Stay in communication with them and do your research. Folks that just want to advertise on social media platforms should educate themselves a little bit so they can work with Monster Agency in the most cohesive manner.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the president of Libertas Institute, and we’re an educational nonprofit.
What challenge were you trying to address with Monster Agency®?
We needed help with marketing for our e-commerce channel.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Monster Agency manages all of our PPC campaigns. They set up paid ads for Facebook and Instagram for us to sell our books. They make sure we’re at a certain level for our cost per acquisition (CPA). The process has been the same every day since we started our relationship.
What is the team composition?
I only work with Andrew (Founder).
How did you come to work with Monster Agency®?
I found Monster Agency on Google. I interviewed a few different people and felt like Andrew was competent enough to take over our ads.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve probably spent over $150,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our partnership started in June 2019 and is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I don’t pay much attention to any metrics or statistics. However, they make sure that our return on ad spend (ROAS) is at a sufficiently high rate for us to justify the continued ad spend.
Also, Andrew has been very responsive to our requests, and he knows his business. He’s been very helpful in brainstorming new opportunities for us to explore.
How did Monster Agency® perform from a project management standpoint?
I don’t have any complaints. Monster Agency provides regular reporting and stays on top of what we ask them to do.
We communicate through Slack. They use Facebook Business Manager for all of the ads. They may use some other tools on their end, but I’m not familiar with them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Monster Agency is really good at communicating on a regular basis. I always know where things stand and what’s happening.
Are there any areas they could improve?
It would be nice for Monster Agency to come up with their own ideas and experiments, rather than just taking direction and doing what we asked. They do so a little bit, but there’s an opportunity for growth there. That will provide more value to their work.
Any advice for potential customers?
It’s always a good idea to be clear about your needs and how Monster Agency can provide value to your company. They provide other services that we don’t use but could benefit others. Clarity in communication is always good.

Digital Advertising for Motorcycle Shop

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO and founder of Lutzka's Garage, a high-performance motorcycle shop.
What challenge were you trying to address with Monster Agency®?
We hired Monster Agency to help drive traffic and sales to our website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Monster Agency brought their ideas to the table, and we started to run retargeting audience ads that I had previously approved on Facebook and Instagram.
They made sure that the ads were redirected to the right audience and ran correctly.
We ran those ads for about six months, and then I turned them off a little bit, but now we’ve turned them back on again.
What is the team composition?
I work directly with Andrew (Founder & CEO).
How did you come to work with Monster Agency®?
I found Monster Agency through an ad that I saw on the internet. I talked to Andrew, and he happened to be a fan of my skateboarding career. That’s basically how we started working together.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in April 2019, and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
My sales went up from the moment we started running ads. Then, when I turned them off, my sales decreased. Therefore, I turned them on again, and my sales have gone up over 200% in the last six months. Our website traffic is also increasing.
How did Monster Agency® perform from a project management standpoint?
I communicate with Andrew over the phone. He’s been absolutely awesome and easy to work with. He’s right there to answer any questions I have, and he explains everything very well.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Monster Agency has great customer service. They’re an awesome company, which is why I work with them.
Any advice for potential customers?
If you own a business, you should definitely work with Monster Agency. They’re one of the best out there. They put everything on the table and are very easy to work with. They’ll help drive a lot of traffic to your website and that’ll relate to your sales. Our sales have gone up a lot in the last six months, which has been an amazing experience.

SMM Advertising for Book Author
"They are extremely responsive and communicate easily and frequently."
the reviewer
the review
The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am a USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author of more than twenty-four novels which have been translated into six languages. I have been self-publishing on Amazon since 2014.
For what projects/services did your company hire Monster Agency®?
I hired Monster Agency to run the Facebook advertising for my books, specifically an upcoming release I planned for June of 2020. They manage my Facebook ads account entirely.
What were your goals for this project?
To increase visibility, to see a higher ROI than with the ads I'd been doing myself, and to have the book's release reach a higher number of readers in a crowded market.
How did you select Monster Agency®?
My husband found them, actually and suggested I try them out. We had an informative and comprehensive Zoom meeting (one of several) and they exhibited a professional, experienced knowledge of Facebook advertising, despite not having worked specifically in the romance novel genre.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
I turned over all control of my Facebook ad account to them. I give them ad image ideas and text, and set a daily or weekly spending budget, and they manage the account running multiple ads, targeting (and retargeting) audiences while maintaining low costs per click and ensuring underperforming ads are killed quickly.
What was the team composition?
I was assigned a direct contact for ad creation and maintenance, though I talk most frequently with the owner who is very hands-on and accessible, which I appreciate. I tend to have very specific (and immediate) issues, given that I am constantly having to change my own strategies and have new content (putting a book on sale, for instance) that needs advertising attention. We are also in contact with someone who punctually reports the progress report of the ads that week, including spend, reach, impressions, etc. and how they've improved or declined based on the week previous. I appreciate this so much too, as it shows they are keeping statistics about what works and what is slipping, and are simply not spending the budgets. They pay attention and are extremely transparent, which is wonderful.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
I hired them specifically in advance of a new book I was releasing. That book broke the Top 100 in Amazon and stayed there for several days. Despite it being a relatively new book, it is my top-selling novel of all time, beating out other best sellers that have been around (and earning revenue) for years. Now that the book is nearly a year old, it is still out-performing other novels due to Monster Agency's ad support. Additionally, I have begun running lead generation ads to bulk up my newsletter subscriber list. Within a few short weeks, I've already amassed more than a thousand new emails and counting. Andrew, the Agency's owner, was also instrumental in helping me capture those emails efficiently though it's not technically in his job description. He has also taken it upon himself to help me with account verification with Facebook and his team keeps me apprised of the privacy changes Apple is introducing which may impact my business.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
It was interesting at first, given the team is a bunch of dudes and I'm writing romance novels, but they adapted themselves to the task without any issues. They are extremely responsive and communicate easily and frequently. I have never felt as if I had to wait long (even on weekends, which I'm trying not to bother them on) and have never felt that I"m not a high priority. I know they have many, many clients but I often feel like I'm the only one given how attentive they are.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their attentiveness, their customer service, their attention to detail and diligently keeping track of the ad money spent and reporting any changes or issues, making suggestions, etc. They're very conscientious about keeping their clients happy--I never feel like it's going to be a chore changing things up. They're just on the job, literally, and I appreciate it so much since I don't want to spend my time wrangling with ads when I could be writing.
Are there any areas for improvement?
It would be ideal if I didn't have to come up with my own creative but that's specific to my profession and no fault of theirs. I know they create ads for other clients so this is not an area they have no experience in, but no one knows my books like I do. I'm the only one who can pick quotes from the novel to make ad copy, or find images that match the characters. Plus, it's important that I, as the author, maintain quality control over the content that I am putting out there. So long story short, no. :)

Scaling FB Ads & Campaigns for Ecommerce Store

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-founder of Sundae Muse, a women’s clothing e-commerce store.
What challenge were you trying to address with Monster Agency?
We hired them to scale our Facebook ads.
What was the scope of their involvement?
It involved high-level planning and Facebook campaigns to promote a little-funnel and bottom-funnel. They also set up evergreen campaigns, which are our most successful campaigns. They handled split testing to see which performed well.
We have an in-house creative team. They feed us material, and Monster Agency turns it into ads. They’ve been essential to our Facebook and Instagram ads.
What is the team composition?
There was one person mainly, although other people were involved.
How did you come to work with Monster Agency?
Their reputation was stellar. I had conversations in the past with them and knew they were experienced and honest. When I had the opportunity to move forward with them, I gave them a chance.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve worked together since April 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I’m really impressed with the agency; they’ve been very helpful for our growth as a company. They’ve handled one of our best campaigns. We’ve been running it since 2019, and since they took over it's seven times as successful. We’re getting more customers and more lifetime customers because of their work.
How did Monster Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re very quick and always available. I had no issues with following up or deadlines. They’re set up for efficiency.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They don’t overpromise, but they get really good results. They’re quite humble and you know you can trust them. They’re very easy to work with.
They also run their own ads. I don’t trust an advertising agency that doesn’t run their own ads. They run Facebook Ads for themselves, which makes them more trustworthy.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could diversify. I wish they worked on Snapchat, Pinterest, and LinkedIn. Even TikTok would be great.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Have realistic expectations of what can be achieved and take their advice.

Advertising for Custom Embroidered Headwear Company
"Monster Agency has been responsive, and has looked out to make sure the team is doing the best they can for us."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner and founder of Lid Launch. We create custom embroidered headwear for anyone on the Internet. We’re an online source for a variety of orders from small and bigger businesses, and also individuals with personalized requests.
What challenge were you trying to address with Monster Agency®?
We needed Monster Agency to take care of our advertising. Up until hiring them, I was running our entire advertising myself. While this worked, I knew there was a way to get people to go on our site and purchase without me interacting with them, and we needed help to do this. Monster Agency was capable of getting that kind of system and running it for us.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Monster Agency maintains and runs our Facebook and GoogleAds. Moreover, they set up the advertising, and they do the testing creative to figure out what works best. Once they find out the ones that work the best, they use that to build and fine-tune the audiences and creative. It’s an ongoing process, which means they’re constantly improving and buying the correct amount of ads for the correct audience in the right creative sales.
What is the team composition?
I work hand-in-hand with Andrew (Founder & CEO), Ted (Marketing Strategist), and other account representatives. Ted is in charge of giving me updates, buying ads, and making sure things run smoothly. I communicate with both on a semi-weekly or daily basis.
How did you come to work with Monster Agency®?
I had followed Andrew’s personal brand for a couple of years, and I thought his marketing agency was creating some very funny content on their Facebook ads. I told myself one day I’d be able to afford to let him run our ads. Finally, there was a point when I decided to move forward and hire Monster Agency. Ever since, we’ve been a really good fit.
How much have you invested with them?
We started in August 2020, and our partnership is ongoing.
What is the status of this engagement?
Their agency fees are $25,000 a month, and they offer a fixed rate just for Facebook and Google ads, where they charge 5% of the total ad spending. With that rate, our monthly bill is usually $5,000 a month.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
In our second month of running ads with them, our revenue increased 600%. It has exploded. Our company keeps getting bigger and bigger. When our company started, it was just me in my basement, and now it’s me and other people in a building that we’re already busting out the seams of moving into a warehouse in six months.
Now we have the ads throttled because I don't want to take on more business than we can handle. It’s been like a dial that we can turn to throw more money at the ads that they've set up and more revenue will come in.
How did Monster Agency® perform from a project management standpoint?
We mainly use Slack for communication. Andrew is always there and around even at times when I’ll be sending a message at 3 am. The others communicate mostly during business hours but also respond beyond that. Our weekly reports are sent via email, and all of the signing and other paperwork are done through DocuSign.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Andrew's ability to balance all of his clients and still make us feel like we have a personal connection with them is most impressive. Monster Agency has been responsive and has looked out to make sure the team is doing the best they can for us, which has been great.
Are there any areas they could improve?
In the beginning, the people they had running the ads didn't fully grasp the audience that I was trying to capture, but we’ve shifted to our ideal customer, which has driven into great sales lately.
Any advice for potential customers?
Make sure upfront that they do a deep dive on what you’re selling and what you’re trying to achieve.
