Manufacturing websites that grow your business
At Momentum, we're passionate about two things: marketing and manufacturing. We have partnered with over 100 manufacturing companies that are determined to separate from the competition and grow their businesses.
With over 10 years of hands-on web design and digital marketing experience and extensive knowledge in manufacturing, our team is ready to propel your manufacturing company forward.
Roura Material Handling, Griggs Steel, MSI Mold, K+S, JWC Environmental
After hitting a wall and no longer seeing results themselves, MSI Mold needed a team of experienced members to help these campaigns reach the next level. They were not ranking organically and were only receiving paid traffic as their competitors were at the top of the rankings. They did not know how to increase their sales and realized they needed outside help.
Momentum worked with them to devise a new plan that would help them attract more customers and help them grow their sales. A search engine optimization campaign was launched to help increase their organic rankings and it resulted in top-ranking keywords. They now receive higher quality leads and have been able to continue growing the business while Momentum marketing partners manage their campaigns.
Though a leading manufacturer in the hopper industry, Roura Material Handling struggled to gain search engine share for industry-related keywords. Roura had a website that was built on outdated technology, and its SEO strategy was sporadic and therefore ineffective. Though Roura did try pay-per-click advertising, they knew it wasn’t enough to generate sustainable results.
Momentum was able to build a comprehensive website and develop a powerful SEO strategy for Roura to improve rankings and leads. Once Momentum and Roura established a partnership, we performed an extensive SEO, website, and competitor analysis to determine where Roura's strategy was lacking. We found a strategy that would get their keywords ranking first on Google.
They did not have the time or expertise to manage this in house, They felt they were leaving money on the table by not having a full grasp of how these things work. JWC Environmental recognized they were not seeing the performance they were looking for and as a result their sales team was falling behind on company goals due to lack of quality leads.
The structure of their campaign and bidding strategy needed improvement to help increase leads and Momentum had them roll out a new campaign that utilized new Google Ads best practices. As a Google certified partner, Momentum helped diagnose and correct the issues they encountered and was able to improve the campaign with ongoing collaboration. Over a year later, JWC’s Google Ads campaign is performing at an all time high and is now relieved that they are generating more quality sales leads for their teams and created a new landing page and development.
Being such a new concept, it was important for their website to communicate what they do while still standing out. It was critical for their website to easily describe their processes, and building brand awareness was a major goal of theirs, since it was a new product. GripShape also knew they wanted to stand out - so a custom design was needed.
A full custom build-out to fit their every need was created and the pieces all fell into place after Momentum set them up for the future. With a new customized design to explain their unique product and service, the next step was to launch a Google Ads and SEO campaign to drive more leads and sales. Momentum continues to help with ongoing optimization and client support.
Their current website was outdated and not mobile-friendly. It didn’t properly explain their business services. Also, being a global business, they were missing out on leads by not offering a website with multiple languages. The final straw was not being able to effectively market their services, such as shipping and repairing different parts.
Momentum was able to add an eCommerce website and a “ship for repairs” website option while providing ongoing support and maintenance. After a successful launch, and translating the website to 7 other languages, we continue to support their ongoing digital marketing needs and continue to work as a partner with them to help grow their business.
Griggs desired a stronger and more modern digital presence. Grigg’s old solution was too general. In today’s digital world, and in such a concentrated niche, this general strategy is not enough. To keep up with any competition, the brand required a specialized marketing team with innovative ideas and a partner for seamless execution.
At the end of the day, it’s all about generating sales and qualified leads. Ultimately, the high-speed steel distributor wanted to drive more qualified search traffic and increase conversions. To do this, Momentum created a strategy that included search engine optimization efforts, pay-per-click advertising, and ongoing improvement efforts.

Communication was very clear and transitions between team members were seamless. The changes made yielded an increase in site traffic and significant positive feedback from users.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the president of a company called Wenzel America, which provides automated inspection systems for manufacturing, and employs about 40 people.
What challenge were you trying to address with Momentum?
We wanted to modernize our web presence to appeal to new Google algorithms, improve SEO, and to redefine our UX/UI for the site, with a focus on B2B interactions. The goal of our site is to generate sales leads, so we wanted to improve user flow, SEO, and customer retention rates.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Momentum took the written content from our previous site and applied it to a new web structure that was easier to navigate, with a more modern, sharper look and feel. We worked with them collaboratively during the planning/design phase, then they handled all aspects of development. They also used historical data that provided insight on how customers used our site, what pages they landed on, etc. to improve user flow.
SEO was the other substantial portion of the project. Momentum compared our results to not only our competitors, but also with industry adjacent companies that sell to similar customers. This helped us set realistic expectations and put our effort into the most commonly-used search terms, making our products more accessible to those who may not be experts in the field.
What is the team composition?
I primarily worked with the CEO, Jimi Plouffe, but my team worked with a project manager and several specialists.
How did you come to work with Momentum?
I had originally been exploring several recommended non-local partners that presented very well, but we ultimately decided to go with a local group to facilitate face-to-face meetings. Momentum was off my radar after our first meeting, but they followed up promptly, and we ended up partnering with them. We really liked how they handled us as a prospective customer. They had also worked with capital equipment companies in the past, and were familiar with the industry. We felt that they could meet our requirements and educate us about aspects of the marketing space that we may not be taking advantage of, and that’s certainly come to fruition.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started the project in October 2016 and completed the work on UX/UI and SEO, but our partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve seen increases in our site traffic due to the changes they helped us make in the site structure and SEO, but more importantly, we’ve gotten a lot of positive anecdotal feedback from customers. They find it easier to find information, and spend more time reading blog posts. Everything is simpler, and the look and feel has improved dramatically.
How did Momentum perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve been fantastic. The consistency of their communication has been the best part of working with them. They’ve been very clear on what they need from us and when they need it, and what the consequences are if they don’t get it. Sometimes as a customer, it’s hard to juggle our own work and that work that’s required for our vendor. They’re great at communicating why they need our help on certain aspects, and have made it very easy to collaborate with them. Again, the way they’ve handled us as a client was a big part of why we chose them.
We had monthly check-ins, and communicated mostly via phone and email. We also provided small ideas, gave feedback, and addressed other quick fixes via text. There were no gaps in communication on their end; we never had to re-educate the next team member on what we were trying to accomplish. They made it very easy to move back and forth between team members. We always felt very supported and understood.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They are very consistent in making sure they understand your goals fully. They omit the jargon and communicate their work clearly. I would say every step of the way, it’s confidence. They always instilled us with confidence that they would get us where we needed to go.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There was a point towards the end of our last project where we started to feel like we had been sold to a little bit, but after we provided some feedback, they quickly reassured us and our concerns were addressed. I think they’ve been very consistent for the most part.
Advice for potential customers?
The key is to work internally to set your goals, and understand what it is you’re trying to accomplish. Acknowledge your limits of expertise, and recognize which aspects of the project you might be able to learn from theirs. We had a clear vision of what we wanted, and they were able to act on those goals effectively.
