I am the Senior Project Manager at Glimpulse, where people share the Grateful, Loving impulse with those who matter most in their lives through a fun, fast, self-expression app to create and manifest happier, healthier, and more fulfilling relationships. Glimpulse is also a marketplace for artists. We bring together mindfulness, artistic expression, and neuroscience to provide a next generation form of self-expression and connection.
Unlike traditional social media platforms that have been shown to drive negativity, anger, anxiety, depression, and disconnection; we are building a deeply engaging expression messenger experience for people of all ages and all walks of life.
For what projects/services did your company hire Mobio Solutions, and what were your goals?
After successfully alpha testing a very basic app, we wanted to develop a mobile app that could scale and grow with us as we add knew features and increase our amount of users.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
In the past, we began to work with two development companies. They didn't deliver what we wanted and their costs were in great excess of our budget. We worked with a solo developer for the creation of our alpha test app. He was/ is amazing, but we needed to take the next step toward growth. We searched online for developers for several month but the solution was under our nose all along, Our CEO had/ has a strong connection with the CEO of Mobio Solutions.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
So far, Mobio helped us complete the UI/ UX design of our soon-to-be IOS mobile app. The built the back end API's and a highly-effective, easy-to0use CMS. While developing the front end of our IOS app, they quickly built us a clickable prototype to demonstrate to future investors what we would still have to offer. We have worked together on Testflight to further refine the app as we've built it in sprints. We've hit six milestones and will be ready to go live and soft launch with some UAT by late next week.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
A project manager was assigned as our key point of contact. I've also worked with a back end developer and three front end developers as well as a UI/UX designer and additional helpers for our CMS.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Even though we began discussing working together in March, we really began full-time work in mid August, It has only been two months and we are just about ready to go live. The UI/ UX design was helpful and the clickable prototype has allowed us to continue to approach investors while we work on the app.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
The project manager was easy to communicate with and provided frequent updates. We had weekly meetings on Zoom but did most of our communications via email and through Jira. Key deliverables were always on time. THIS TEAM WORKS FAST! If we slowed down at any point, it is because we pivoted on a few features and/ or requested lists of small changes.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Mobio team members know everything about UX, API's and everything that we needed to learn. They have been patient with our learning curve and requests for changes. They have not said "no" to anything we've requested for this app and they've given valuable suggestions when it was needed.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Mobio Solutions has done an excellent job of building our MVP iOS app. We look forward to working with them as we further build this app and when we develop the Android version of this app.

For what projects/services did your company hire Mobio Solutions, and what were your goals?
We had an urgent need for web and mobile developers, as we were running extremely behind on a very crucial project. We hired them because we have had great experience with their quality, cost and speed in the past.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We had done many projects with Mobio team in past. We are very intricately familiar with the process and quality with which their team operates. They also had the developers with exact stack that we were looking for, and they were made available to us in a pinch.

We asked them to build us android and iOS apps. They helped us build the backend with Node.js and frontend was built using React. They helped us operate in sprints, and they were hitting sprint goals on time consistently.
The project was built for a company that does B2C product with vertically integrated supply chain. There were lots of little complexities with complex business logic around supply chain, local logistics and city apartment residents.

They helped us create very achievable timelines. And were hitting those consistently. When any unforeseen issues arose like scope change, or illness, they communicated effectively and efficiently. Within a month we were hitting very high sprint velocities, and QA wasn't suffering too much through bugs.

We used JIRA, GitHub and slack to manage the whole lifecycle. Everything ran in two week sprints, and they had setup CI/CD to keep delivering the latest and greatest with accuracy.

How accurate they were with timeline initially presented to us was great.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We are continuously evolving our stack. They did a great job keeping up with latest tech, there was an instance or two where they weren't already experts in a new tech, but they quickly caught on.
With the UI/UX design of the clickable prototype, the client can approach their investors while Mobio Solutions continue to work on the project development. The team communicates via email and Jira, and Zoom for weekly meetings. The client is so far impressed by the team's resilience and expertise.
