I am the founder and CEO of Finventis, a US-based Fintech startup, preparing to provide BAAS/FAAS (Banking/Fintech as a Platform) services.
For what projects/services did your company hire MOB 34?
We employed Mob34 to create our brand strategy & identity and the design our corporate website.
What were your goals for this project?
Our goal was to create the corporate identity and website that would reflect our targeted corporate image "Finventis is an innovative, highly-capable and highly-configurable payments platform that can accommodate payment needs of different of B2B client prospects."
How did you select MOB 34?
They did a very impressive job for another company that my family has invested in, so it was a choice based on experience.
Describe the project in detail.
Mob34 sent us a questionnaire with questions about our business, products, target customers, goals and targeted brand personality. Based on our answers, they prepared and provided us two alternatives for brand identity, including the logo in different formats (horizontal, vertical, color, b/w, etc) and its applications on different media.
We were impressed with the one where they underlined 'invent' on our brandname Finventis and chose that. They provided the full set of editable files for different applications.
Then for the website, we provided a written brief including the menu and the text content. They provided two alternative design approaches on Figma; we chose one, and they provided the complete site mock-up including the content (text, images & illustrations). We did some iterations of feedback & changes until final sign off.
After sign off, they also worked with our developer to monitor and assure that the development was exactly in line with their design.
What was the team composition?
Tunc from Mob34 was our single point of contact, acting as the channel to carry our inputs to their team and back to us. His acting as our advocate has been very efficient.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
As a fintech startup, we needed credibility with third parties that we targeted to work with. We needed to show that we are a credible start-up with the know-how, experience and resources to build this highly-regulated and complex business.
The professional and credible image reflected with our new corporate identity and website successfully communicates this positioning.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Tunc's english was very good, both spoken and written, so channeling all communication thru him has been very efficient.
Also providing the website draft on Figma was a great way to manage the website design collaboration. We were able to see the pages as well as navigation as if finished and we could give feedback right on Figma. When the design was signed off, it was very easy for the developer to code the design from Figma.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their creativity is excellent (our logo with 'invent' of Finventis underlined, and the shape-shifting image on our website which reflects the flexibility/high-configurability of our platform). And they have a very professional process for doing the whole project end2end.
Are there any areas for improvement?
They currently provide brand startegy & design and website design services. If they add web development capabilities, it will be more conventient as a 'one-stop shop".
MOB34 built the fintech startup's brand by creatively designing their logo to project the professional and credible corporate image they wanted, as well as designing their website to consistently communicate this corporate identity to their clients and partners.
