A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CFO of ICC Group. We are in heavy highway construction. We mainly build bridges over rivers and roads. Moreover, we also do some revetment work such as shoring up the lakeshore.
What challenge were you trying to address with Millennia Group, LLC?
We have a home office and we have project managers who are spread within Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. The challenge is to get invoices out to them and getting them back to us so that we can approve, process, and integrate it into our general ledger system. That’s the reason why we contacted Millennia Group.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Our system was archaic and it was not being supported anymore. We needed to find an alternative to that. As a result, Millennia creates a system for us that would integrate into our existing accounts. They also do the design work for our UI, in order to make it seamless.
They continue to make changes to our system and finds way on how to improve it.
What is the team composition?
I mostly work with Michael (Co-Founder & President), but our internal staff works with other people from their organization. I’d say we probably deal with four people.
How did you come to work with Millennia Group, LLC?
We collaborated with a company and they recommended we get a new integration for remote processing of our employees’ invoice approval. They helped us along the way and we ended up working with Millennia Group.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve probably spent in the $25,000 range.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement began in September 2019, and we continue to collaborate.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I think our investment has been relatively small based on the benefit we receive from them. Our staff and our project managers in the field are very satisfied with the system. Internally, in accounting, we always want more, but I can tell you that our employees in the field love it. It has been a huge improvement from what they were used to.
How did Millennia Group, LLC perform from a project management standpoint?
Our communication lines are very open. Our staff loves dealing with them again and again. They’re also very responsive.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I think I’ve already said enough, but overall, they’ve been a pleasure to deal with.
Are there any areas they could improve?
If anything, it took a while when we first contacted them, and maybe I was impatient. However, it took a while for them to come back and get the product to where we were early on. Simply put, the integration took a long time. I think we can all do better.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Michael is a great leader of the organization. Keep him in the loop and involved. That way, he’ll make sure things get done right. By keeping him at the forefront, you can accomplish what you need.
