Please describe your company and your position there.
i am the ceo of a not for profit disability support agency
For what projects/services did your company hire Michelson Alexander, and what were your goals?
Wallara had zero profile in political channels and in the media but we had unique projects and did outstanding work. We wanted to change that and register and position ourselves as a thought leader.
How did you select this vendor?
I met Steve through a friend and was listening go him talk about his unique talents and experience and I was thinking how he could help agencies in the disability sector. So I decided rather than point him in that direction we would engage him ourselves
Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.
We jointly selected major projects that were seeking govt funding support and they created campaigns and strategies to get us in front of the right people. Media wise they helped sharpen our point of view and generate stories with media appeal.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Steve was always there and present, but we worked with several of his team over the journey and all were quality executives who listen and think before they act.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
After 4 years of lobbying we just received an Federal Govt election commitment for $750K for a building project which is not situated in a swing seat. All the politicians we have lobbied over that journey have praised Steve's work to me.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
All team members were highly professional. Responsive and available.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Steve has a very strong network within politics and beyond. He is well respected and regarded and he has values as well. One of the main assists was helping me sharpen up my storylines on news topics so i have a point of view. They also co-designed and produced a podcast with us which ran for 2 seasons.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
no
Thanks to Michelson Alexander's four years of support, the organization received a $750,000 commitment from the government for a building project. The team demonstrated a high level of professionalism, responsiveness, and availability throughout the partnership. Their network was pivotal to success.
