The 100 Club of Boston - nonprofit
As a nonprofit organization, The Hundred Club's goals are to acquire members and donations so they can support their cause. Stories of beneficiaries help make the cause relatable and relevant. Donations are handled via a PayPal connection. The site is fully responsive and content-managed on the WordPress platform.
The Hundred Club gives an unequivocal and unconditional promise to police officers and firefighters in Massachusetts that in the event they are killed in the line of duty, the Club will never forget their service and the Club will compassionately care for their surviving families for the rest of their lives.

Rev'd Fitness
The new website represents a brand shift with an all new style of photography and messaging. Class registrations happen via a stylized API integration with Mind Body. Users can choose by class, instructor, or location when scheduling their classes.
Rev’d is a different type of spin studio. Their signature Rev’d Ride is a 45 minute, athletically-challenging, body-changing experience. They focus on the rhythm of the music and how it drives you to overcome the obstacles of resistance and position. This is your moment. This is your movement.

PBS International
The audience is multinational, and we needed to design the simplest way for a user to log in, find the programming they are looking for, and then contact their sales rep to license it.
Genres were assigned colors and appear on each thumbnail image so users can easliy browse through content of interest. The search tool was designed and tested to be super intuitive.
The website was migrated seamlessly from their custom CMS into WordPress, and all users retained their previous login credentials. The keyword search tool expands to an advanced search, allowing the user to filter by genre or keyword to quickly find the programming they're interested in. The results page continuously loads content with AJAX pagination as the user scrolls. Genres, keywords, and producers all search by those values when clicked on.
PBS International serves public broadcast stations around the world looking to augment their programming. PBS offers over 800 programs at any one time that purchasers can license for use at their local broadcast stations.

Fiercee + Regal
Built on the Shopify Platform, the Fierce + Regal site takes advantage of their beautiful photography with large images throughout the site. The custom navigation can pull in featured products or pages. The blog was designed to feel more like a fashion magazine than a blog. Product pages are a balance of custom UI design and added informational blocks that are managed site-wide.
Margi Gad created Fierce + Regal as an athleisure brand that would look polished, sleek, and could seamlessly transition to everyday wear. Margi envisioned Fierce + Regal as a brand that would give women the confidence and empowerment to achieve anything from the gym to the boardroom – and everything in between.

Berkeley Lights
Berkeley Lights needed a messaging and structrual overhaul. The redesigned pages funnel customers more efficiently. And the gated resource center captures leads directly into their CRM. Resource content can be dynamically fed to other areas of the site. We also designed a series of landing page templates they can update themselves for ongoing marketing campaigns. Custom theme designed and built on the WordPress platform.
The Berkeley Lights Platform accelerates the use of cell-based products. Their proprietary technology – automation, optimized workflows, software, consumables, assay reagents – enables scientists to find the best cells, the first time they look.

Alpaqua
Alpaqua's redesign focused around an intuitive plate finder interface to help users find the right product for their needs. It lets users filter through specs and returns all matching results. Products are purchasable through a WooComemrce implementation. There is also an interactive resource center that can be gated for lead capture down the road. The site is responsive for all screen sizes.
Alpaqua Engineering, LLC, founded in 2006, is a global provider of tools for accelerating genomic applications such as NGS, nucleic acid extraction and clean up, exome capture, and molecular diagnostics. They offer a diverse line of 24-, 48-, 96- and 384-well magnet plates engineered for a wide range of uses from multi-purpose to specialty applications, from low throughput discovery to high throughput uber-users.

For what projects/services did your company hire Metropolis Creative?
Metropolis Creative designed our company website in 2012 and we've worked with the firm on an ongoing basis to maintain and make minor updates to the site. In 2019, we needed a major redesign of the site and we hired Metropolis Creative for the project.
What were your goals for this project?
The project's main goal was to a new, redesigned website that would support marketing and sales objectives. We needed a site that would support SEO/SEM, provided a platform for our content, and effectively conveyed the company brand. We also needed modern, mobile-responsive site and user experience.
How did you select Metropolis Creative?
We reviewed proposals from multiple web design firms in 2012 before selecting Metropolis Creative. After working successfully with Metropolis from 2012-2019, they were the clear front-runner for the 2019 project to redesign the website. We did a cursory review of one other firm and then decided to continue the productive working relationship with Metropolis.
Describe the project in detail.
The project consisted of:
- Creative and technical discovery
- Site design and functionality (look, user experience, navigation, responsive design, page templates)
- Wireframes and design templates
- Coding
- Content entry
- Graphic design and image curation
What was the team composition?
We worked mainly with the Creative Director & Project Manager, and they were supported by a Designer/Art Director, a Designer, and a Developer. Metropolis has a consistent team of people that have supported us over the years.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Leads from our website have increased substantially since we completed this project in 2019. We rarely received new leads from the web before we updated the site, and we now receive about 2 new business inquiries per week from the site. Prospective clients regularly mention that they found the site via search or other channels, and then were impressed enough by the site to contact us.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Very effective. The Metropolis team is easy to work with, responsive, and proactive in suggesting new ideas. We relied on their expertise extensively.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They listened to our goals of conveying our brand and using the site to differentiate and resonate with our prospects. They brought us ideas, but made sure the site is authentic to the Isurus brand.
Are there any areas for improvement?
As with any project, we always want to move more quickly than the vendor/partner indicates is likely. Metropolis advised it would be about a 6-month project, and they met that timeline.
Metropolis Creative supplemented an excellent design that resulted in increased leads for the company's site. The team was easy to work with, responsive, and proactive in providing new ideas to the client. They made sure that everything they delivered was authentic to the client's brand.
