SRC Health - Megaphone Marketing Testimonial
Megaphone partnered with SRC Health, a maternity clothing brand, to increase sales via online channels.
SRC Health needed to generate a return on investment for their digital channels that they hadn't previously generated.
The client's biggest appreciation from their partnership with Megaphone, was our ability to invest a lot time into the overall strategy, planning, and analysis that the client did not otherwise have to resources to carry out in-house.
Return on investment was critical for this client. Before partnering with Megaphone, social channels contributed to under 5% of overall sales. Megaphone was able to increase this figure to over 30%.
SRC sees Megaphone as an extension of their in-house marketing team, and has appreciated the ongoing close working relationship developed over the years of working together.

Twoobs - Megaphone Marketing Testimonial
Making the switch to an agency is a big decision! So why is working with Megaphone the best decision for your business? We hear from Jess & Stef from Twoobs.
"We got two recommendations in two days for Megaphone! We were skeptical about handing it over, but everything we've received is perfect, and the results are incredible.
We got 11,000 new customers from 1 competition alone! Approaching an agency can be scary, as it's a cost, but with Megaphone we made that back and more! It's revolutionized our business"

Squeak Designs: 345% increase in sales
Now a thriving Melbourne-based boutique specialising in luxury silk clothing (scarves, kimonos, robes and bedwear), Squeak joined forces with Megaphone over six years ago after a coincidental run-in with the agency’s founder, Max.
At this point, Squeak was a one-woman show selling at tradeshows. Yet, despite being in its infancy, Megaphone saw the strong potential of Squeak’s business model and product range.
Being a start-up, the opportunities for Squeak were endless. However, risks were aplenty too. To achieve the greatest chance of success — minimising risk and capitalising on opportunities — Squeak needed to recognise which avenues would reap rewards, which areas required laser focus, and develop an overall pathway to growth. Through a robust and holistic strategy, that’s where Megaphone came in.
345% increase in sales

Please describe your company and your position there.
Beauty Connections is an Australian distributor of international beauty products. We have our own online platform where we sell B2C. I am the Brand Manager.
For what projects/services did your company hire Megaphone Marketing?
We needed help advertising our products on Google. As we are up against some big competitors we were struggling to cut through with the ads we had.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We had previously worked with two agencies that we weren't seeing great results. So i looked online for an agency with the best reviews. Megaphone stood out from the crowd as they had amazing testimonials and a guaranteed ROAS improvement from where we were currently. The team was also a pleasure to speak with and I felt we would be in good hands.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
The project was to increase sales with Google Ads. We had a few on-boarding discussions, talking through what we needed from Megaphone and what our goals were. These were all noted from the team and they came back with a strategy for our brand. We have been implementing that strategy for the past few months and have seen some fantastic results.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I've worked directly with one person from Megaphone, Paige. She is a Marketing Strategist. I haven't met the other people who are working on the account, but they are working hard behind the scenes.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We haven't reached our desired goal just yet and we still have a few months left in the project, but the outcomes we have seen so far are fantastic. Our overall ROAS has drastically improved and we are working in an upwards trajectory.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Very, we have weekly calls and are always touching base via emails.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their online testimonials were fantastic, and they produced very high client retention.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I think we had some learnings at the beginning which took a little while to implement, but other than that we are very happy.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the owner of an at-home manicure company.
For what projects/services did your company hire Megaphone Marketing, and what were your goals?
We were looking to grow our biz through paid marketing, particularly on FB and Google
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
They contacted us and for some reason we responded instead of sending their email to spam. Lucky them!
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and marking tools used.
They are managing our FB ads including generating the creatives for our approval, and managing the ads daily to make sure they're working. They are also now doing Google ads for us as well.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We have an account manager who is our main contact, a google person who we've never spoken to, and other people doing things behind the scenes. We did get a phone call from Aaron (Executive Marketing Strategist & Team Leader) - that was nice!
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Not exactly at this point. We implemented many new things at the same time as starting with Megaphone and its hard to gauge. This month we have had no launches and it's been a pretty 'normal' month and tbh the cost of Megaphone + adspend is about half of this months revenue which is too high. Next month we're doubling adspend, launching a new line AND having a sale - so it'll be interesting to see the results of that - they will determine whether we proceed moving forward.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We have weekly meetings where we get told stats that we're not quite convinced give the true picture. For eg, we get told ROAS is 'x' but we have a huge customer return rate that we know would be back without advertising. So our main metric moving forward is based on growing the percentage of new customers vs return.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They're the first agency we've used so have nothing to compare them to.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Sure - but they take feedback well and are willing to refine the strategy as we go.

I am the owner of a baby brand in New Zealand - that launched in November 2011.
For what projects/services did your company hire Megaphone Marketing, and what were your goals?
We used megaphone for facebook, Instagram and google ads. Our goal was to get our brand seen and heard in the NZ and Aus market.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We were contacted by megaphone on Instagram - as they loved our brand and was keen to help up grow.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and marking tools used.
We started my doing lots of ad testing being a new brand and finding our audience. We used facebook, Instagram and google ads to try and send customers down the marketing funnel and also convert these customers into sales. We wished to grow our followers across NZ and Aus but this wasnt too successful.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with 2x social media marketing strategist at megaphone.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Unfortunately the we didn't get a wonderful return on investment. Despite all megaphone efforts.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow was pretty good - we got moved account managers but overall our weekly meetings - were helpful to setting goals to achieve.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The Megaphone team was also super helpful and happy to go above and beyond. They believed in the brand.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We could have maybe got onto email marketing quicker and done more campaign to target Aus.

I am the founder of Indosole. An environmental and social mission based footwear brand specializing in recycled materials.
For what projects/services did your company hire Megaphone Marketing?
We hired Megaphone as a full service solution for web development, programming and launch. Also for marketing campaign rollouts, web launch, Email Marketing, Social Media Marketing and Google Ads and SEO.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Megaphone came highly recommended from our friend Jay Faires of The Wellness Agency.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
We began in October 2020 by planning our approach. Next we initiated by developing the website. We planned promotions and executed them. During our high season we ran a successful ad campaign.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We had 2 main points of contact: Arjun and Dean. Managers and facilitators of all things web.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We spent the first 3-4 months developing a new look website with improved shopping cart functionality. We then grew our ROAS by over 25% in a short period of time with a dynamic ad campaign. Megaphone Marketing worked closely with our team every step of the way.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
My team had contact with Megaphone every day. The flow of communication was efficient.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
One key benefit was having Megaphone staff in various countries and timezones. We were able to gain influence for the USA, Australia, and Europe.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
The only thing we could have done better was to more strictly manage the ads after the IOS14 updates took effect. We were continuing to run ads that were no longer converting and thus spending ad dollars that could have been saved.

Project summary
A skincare firm hired Megaphone Marketing to provide social media marketing, content marketing, and website development services. The team's goal was to increase the company's sales and online visibility.
Feedback summary
Despite working with Megaphone Marketing for seven months, the client only received 100 sales from the partnership. The firm also had to constantly reach out because they weren't meeting expectations. The team failed to deliver their promises, which increased tensions and ended the engagement.
BACKGROUND
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the CEO and owner of Skin Haven RX, an online e-commerce skincare company that is focused on oxygen skincare.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Megaphone Marketing?
I was launching the company outside of my acne clinic and needed help with digital marketing. I wanted Megaphone Marketing to help me with running Facebook ads so that I could start scaling and receiving online sales throughout the country. I also wanted them to support me with content creation and assist us in increasing our visibility on social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
They offered in helping us with the website to ensure that we had all the moving pieces to have a functional platform for our costumes and offer a speedy checkout and seamless navigation. As a result, when we started in March, they told me that it would take at least a month to examine my site and to get the platform re-established. They said they would be creating a lot of content for the website and that they needed to restructure it before moving on to the ads. It ended up taking two months, but we didn’t actually go into ads until May.
During the website creation, all the website work was put onto me. As an example, they asked me to download a Shopify theme. They didn’t know how to use it or edit it. As a result, I had to spend time going on YouTube for tutorials and contacting the company of the theme — by that point, I was thinking that something wasn't right. I addressed my concerns with them, and the account manager kept reiterating that they never had such a great client. I fell into the pawn of getting all the compliments they gave me, so I started to pat myself on the back but didn’t realize I was paying them $2,000 a month. In short, they were constantly singing my praises, but I was the one doing all the work.
After two months, I flipped out and demanded to speak to the CEO. I told him that this wasn’t what I signed up for and that I was constantly doing all of the work. While I didn’t mind getting my hands dirty for my business, it still wasn’t fair. They should have at least shown me what they were capable of doing. He said he would give me a free month which he did. He apologized and said that he understood what I was talking about.
After that, they started to run ads through Facebook, but I wasn’t getting any sales. I started running ads myself on another ad page and started getting sales from my own work. With those sales, there was more traffic to the website. All they did was retarget the traffic that I was already bringing. They were spending so much money on the ads which were rejected by Facebook multiple times.
From the time that we started running ads in May all the way until last week when I let them go as an agency, I was still getting rejected ads almost five times a day because they didn’t understand Facebook rules. With Facebook, you couldn't make an ad with before and after photos or create ads that ask questions that could trigger a person’s emotional feelings about how they look and perceive themselves. Even when I mentioned it to them, the account manager said they would just keep retrying it and that maybe another person would approve it. At that time, I thought maybe she knew better than I did because they said they had a direct connection with Facebook — so I ended up believing her.
Moreover, every time something didn’t sell, they'd make me buy something else. For example, they made me purchase a logo for $300 even though the logo I had done myself was fine. I created logos and they'd shoot them down. They had me buy ads from an account that creates user-generated videos of people who create videos, too. I had sent out so many free products only to get videos back that wasn't used because Megaphone Marketing didn’t direct those people to make videos that would be approved by Facebook. All in all, I wasted $1,500 on those videos, and from there, the costs just kept rising.
What is the team composition?
The initial person I was in contact with was an onboarding person who got all of my details, saw what the needs were, and then she connected me with the CEO. He then appointed an account manager who would handle our account.
How did you come to work with Megaphone Marketing?
I saw Megaphone Marketing’s Facebook ad. After that, I did a Google search to see what their reviews were, and it seemed as though they had really high reviews. On top of that, I saw a couple of YouTube videos from some of their accounts and decided to give them a try.
How much have you invested in them?
I spent $33,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
I worked with them from March–September 2021.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Describe the impact this engagement has had on your business.
From May to last week, I only received 100 sales through the agency, and each month I kept asking them to give me an average timeframe of when sales would start to really increase based on their other clients' performance. Megaphone Marketing said they couldn’t give me that or promise that to me because everyone was different. I thought that was understandable, but I had taken a Facebook course earlier last year, and everyone that graduated on that course was doing 100 orders a week within 90 days.
Megaphone Marketing continued to tell me it was because I had medical products, even though they weren't medical at all. As a result, I needed to get them back on track to understand who I was and what my business was all about. In the end, I had a total of 190 sales and 90 of them were mine and 100 were theirs. Out of all the sales I received, I had a 30% repurchase which means that I had a really good product because people were coming back to repurchase. I got frustrated over the last couple of weeks because we were already working for seven months and I was only getting 20 orders a month at the most from this agency and spending around $5,000 a month. I only reached just slightly under $10,000 in sales from being with this organization.
During our partnership, I also told them I was having a hard time expressing my product's message. They said they were so good at that, but they have done nothing. I had rewritten my bio twice and they said they loved what I did. They would smooth me over with my work because they weren’t capable of doing it. In the end, they'd make me feel like I was the reason that things didn't work out, which was far from the truth.
Additionally, I had issues with them regarding my ads. I asked them to get my approval before running any ads and they never did that. I would just wake up to many rejected ads, and I would ask why they didn’t run it by me. They compromised my Facebook account to where Facebook actually called me. Facebook also told me that whoever was running my ads was wasting a lot of my money and that they didn’t know what they were doing.
When I spoke to Megaphone Marketing about it, they said that Facebook offers Facebook management to people who spend over $9,000 within 90 days. It blew my mind that Facebook reached out to me again last week and said I had been missing their appointments, but that I might really want to look for another agency, which was when I made the decision to fire Megaphone Marketing.
At one point, I had asked if I should bump my ad spend to $7,000 a month, and they said I should. Within five days, they spent $2,000 of that and I made zero sales. They had run a bunch of traffic to the site, and I went in and checked the demographics of where they ran the traffic from, and they ran it on countries that wouldn’t even be able to afford my product, which was the reason why I didn't get any sales in return. In the end, I still didn't receive any word from the account manager, the CEO, or anyone from their team.
In the end, they caused me to be bankrupt because they took all of my money. After firing this agency last week, I told them to send me all of my content and anything they had worked on, and they said they had to speak to the content creation department. Until now, they didn't send me anything. Anything that they did send was my content that they had just reworked which was so easy to do in Canva. Overall, anything they had created was so generic.
How was project management handled?
We usually had meetings on Google Meet every 2–3 weeks.
Is there anything that the vendor did well or that you would consider a strength?
They ran a contest for me that got me a subscriber email list of over 1,000 emails. I think that was good, but it just depends on what I get. A lot of the subscribers have fallen off because a lot of them were just generated from just wanting free stuff and they weren’t interested in sticking around to be marketed to.
In what specific areas can they improve?
I hired two other agencies because I wanted them to compete with each other. Those agencies were far bigger than Megaphone Marketing, and their fees were less than half what we paid to the team. Those companies were also shocked when I told them that I paid $2,000 a month. Given that Megaphone Marketing was going to develop my website, create content, run ads, and analyze ads metrics, I thought they offered a good price. However, I never worked with an agency before.
What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?
If you don’t see any return within 60 days, this is not the company for you. They don’t have what it takes to get you there.

For what projects/services did your company hire Megaphone Marketing, and what were your goals?
Originally Megaphone managed our Facebook ads. After a few months of decent results, we then had more in our budget to get Megaphone on our Google Ads too. This then took a massive turn and increased our sales dramatically and now Megaphone are about to take over our socials too. We have so much faith in Megaphone!
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Our account manager was really helpful, catered to our niche market and industry rather than a set formula. This gave comfort knowing that strategies weren't just cookie-cutter formulas but custom work was being done for us.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and marking tools used.
At the very beginning of our journey with Megaphone, there were a lot of meetings and back and forths to make sure Megaphone knew what we were all about. We were constantly revising ads and content to make it sound more like us. A lot of care was taken to make sure our ads were in line with our values and worked well for us.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We work predominantly with our account manager but when needing advice from other teams such as the design team or even IT engineers, our account manager would contact them for more info and pass them to us.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We were aiming for more efficient ad spend. This was measurable where average order values went up, click-through rates increased as well as over return on spend. We noticed an increase of visitors on our site which then led to more leads and sales.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Really easy process where Claudia, our account manager, is totally on top of everything! There may be so many email chains and projects happening which I can't keep track of but Claudia will make sure everything is followed up.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
How stress-free this process is! A lot of marketing agencies focus on volume of customers without fine-tuning the results and strategies. Usually, you'd have to be on top of agencies and almost constantly guide them to what you need. Megaphone definitely don't do this! They do all the work and you don't have to chase them up on anything, then, results just appear!
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not really. We had to slowly gain traction and make sure everyone was on the same page before Megaphone managed more of our marketing accounts. I feel like we did this at a good pace, also because they were very transparent that we shouldn't just be throwing money at marketing thinking it will do the job.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the director of a hair care brand present in Australia and New Zealand.
For what projects/services did your company hire Megaphone Marketing, and what were your goals?
Our brand has been in the marketing for over 3 years and marketing was always a struggle for us, acquiring new customers and promoting our products to its right audience. We hire Megaphone to increase our presence thus sales in the Australian and NZ markets.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I've searched for top marketing agencies in Australia and decided to go with Megaphone after having a meeting with them and hearing their ideas and proposals to add value to my business.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
I first had a call with their business development who took the time to understand my business, its values and what it is about. After couple days we had a zoom meeting where she presented their proposal, with goals, and steps to be taken to achieve my objectives.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I first work with their business development manager and once the proposal was approved I was introduced to my account manager.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
As soon as we started following the outlined plan I've noticed an increase in sales. The first month, was a bit slow as we were finding the right audience that fit my demographics, but could definitely see and improvement from the second month and now in the third month I'm nearly breaking my sales record of all times operating the business.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
I love working with my account manager. She's a bright online marketer who works hard and has a lot of great ideas. We keep very casual which creates a great bond and energy to work together in achieving our objectives. We normally meet on zoom once a week to catch up on the campaigns, results, bounce ideas and plan what's next. She's also available anytime I have questions or whatever business-related needs I may have. I would say that makes all the difference for me, as I can build that trust in someone promoting my business.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their attention to detail, meaning, truly understanding the core of your business and finding exactly who are your dream customers and where they are congregating, then bringing them into your store and converting into sales.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I suppose there is always room for improvements in any business but If I was to suggest something it would probably be set the expectations right for their customers. By that I mean, explain that in the beginning sales may start slow, but as the months goes by, and they have a better understanding of your audience demographics it will increase. In my case, the first month was slow (and I was worried), but in the following months it quickly picked up and is now only going upwards.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the founder of Boba Barista. Boba Barista is a small Australian business that specialises in DIY Bubble Tea kits & ingredients.
For what projects/services did your company hire Megaphone Marketing?
I started Boba Barista by myself, with the business goal of making it easer for the everyday consumer to become their own Boba Barista. However I didn't have the in house expertise nor time to learn marketing. I tried marketing myself however my advertisements were very costly and inefficient. Thus Megaphone came into the picture and things have never been better. Megaphone have set up my facebook ads, google ads, email marketing campaigns and also have helped Boba Barista to get featured in 5 x major publications.
How did you select this vendor?
I contacted a marketing agency that was recommended to me and a few independent marketing experts. I decided to try marketing on my own for a while but it wasn't very effective. Megaphone reached out to me and set up an interview. After I heard their proposal and read their reviews. My partner and I chose Megaphone to be our vendor as they had worked with a few businesses we recognised. One of those businesses happened to have a partnership with my partner therefore we knew we were in good hands.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
After onboarding with Megaphone. Our account manager started implementing our marketing plan straight away. I had been told form other advertisement vendor's that this process would take up to 6 weeks to starts however Megaphone started it right away. I am extremely impressed with Megaphone's turn around time. Over the last three months, Megaphone have launched facebook ads, google ads, instagram ads, and 5 major publications (Broadsheet, Urban List, Pedestrian TV, LifeHacker & Buzzfeed) Megaphone have also helped us create content and digital media for our social media as well as implemented design aspects and functions on Boba Barista's website.
What was the team composition?
I've worked very closely with my account manager who has organised all of our with Megaphone's other teams such as their in-house creatives team, design team, and web-development team to execute all of our projects.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Megaphone has continuously provided successful outcomes, month after month. Below are some of July statistics compared to June: - Total conversion value: $60,964.57 (Up 141% from June) - Increased store visits by 107% - Increased store conversion rate by 8% - Increased total orders by 133% - Smashed our 300 orders a month goal & hit 1017 - Increased Instagram followers by 1000s - Featured in Urban List, Pedestrian TV, Lifehacker & BUZZFEED
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
