Custom Software Coding Support for Custom Printing Company
"They identified a lot of those issues, and because of them, we now have a very concrete checklist to go through."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I run a Toronto-based company that does custom printing for t-shirts and other garments with a couple of partners. We also provide custom logo design and embroidery services.
What challenge were you trying to address with Mazeless Enterprise SEO?
Even taking COVID-19 into account, we found that our traffic started to go down in the last year. Most of the business we had was made with our existing customers, but new leads were really slowing down.
We had just migrated the site at the beginning of the year, and we felt like something was wrong, so Mazeless Enterprise SEO is helping us identify an issue we were having with our coding. We talked to several experts in the area including our own developers, and they kept telling us we were experiencing regular SEO issues — but it still didn’t explain the consistent drop in traffic.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We engaged Mazeless Enterprise SEO to do a different investigation of our website, and they gave us a two-hour presentation and report that revealed a lot of deep-seated issues just as we suspected. We have 3,000 products and around 200,000 URLs which the system automatically generated because of coding errors — because of that, we’ve been losing a lot of visibility, and none of our experts were able to identify it.
They also found some other things regarding our security software, so we’re currently working on making the changes now to fix all the errors we’re experiencing. They’re working with our Magento developer since the site is coded on that platform. Other than that, they’ll be providing us with SEO services and Cloudflare migration.
Once we fix those issues, we will definitely use them for ongoing site maintenance and SEO guidance.
What is the team composition?
We work with two people, and Arsen (Co-Founder) is our main point of contact.
How did you come to work with Mazeless Enterprise SEO?
We became frustrated with people giving us the wrong advice, so we started looking for a site migration specialist. Through that search, we came across an article that they wrote about issues that people have with site migration. I thought they were a really good company to work with before migrating the site, but in our case, they were able to come in and see the problems right away.
How much have you invested in them?
We decided on a flat rate of $3,000 for 20 hours. They ended up going six hours over, but they aren’t going to charge us for the overtime.
What is the status of this engagement?
The ongoing partnership started in August 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The Mazeless Enterprise SEO team was the one who made the correct diagnosis of why we were losing traffic. They identified a lot of those issues, and because of them, we now have a very concrete checklist to go through.
How did Mazeless Enterprise SEO perform from a project management standpoint?
The initial consultation call and presentation were through Google Meet. we started communicating via email after that.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They find problems with the site migration and I like that they don’t just say yes to everything — they let us know what they can and can’t do.
Are there any areas they could improve?
At this point, we’ve had no problems. Although it would’ve been nice if they had a Magento developer on their team so we had to find one elsewhere.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
What worked for us and might work for others is to pay for a deep investigation into the website before you do anything. At first, I was a bit skeptical, but they went really deep into investigating what was really going on. When you have a really good picture of what is going on, you can figure out what they can do.

Please describe your company and your position there.
We, Allstate Service Group, are one of the biggest plumbing, heating, air-conditioning, electrical, restoration, remodeling or construction work services providers in Las Vegas and surrounding areas. I am the co-owner and co-founder.
For what projects/services did your company hire Mazeless Enterprise SEO?
We had some major traffic problems. Our website was not showing up on Google with any of the keywords we were targeting and used to rank. But it used to.
What were your goals for this project?
Our goal was to solve the website technical issues and start targeting keywords that would generate quality leads.
How did you select Mazeless Enterprise SEO?
We were sure that something wrong must have happened. We're business people and SEO technicalities are rocket science to us. We had hired a website design company to optimize our website. As it turned out, they had messed up a great number of things. Eventually, we had to find real pros to solve our problem. One of our partners from LA recommended Mazeless to us. He had worked with them before and was very satisfied.
Describe the project in detail.
We reached out to them. The guy who picked up the phone sounded very professional. I described our problem. They sent us a brief checklist to figure out our pain points. After we did a screen share call where they showed us some core problems, that needed to be fixed. Mazeless sent us a proposal, and we accepted it.
We had a contact person from Mazeless assigned to us. He had set up a project management software access for us to track the progress of shortcomings being resolved. It took us a month and a half and we're back on our feet! Now we've activated their in-house SEO health software. It's like an antivirus - it alerts you when something's wrong. We worked with them for a period of 1 year to ensure the website keeps it's rankings
What was the team composition?
In total, we had 2 people from the Mazeless team that we're dealing with. Both of them were very friendly and responsive.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
After 3 weeks, we started to see some real progress. Our pages were back on Google again. We started getting our usual number of calls too.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
They were available when we had questions. We could see the work in progress via the bug fix tracking software. They used Jira. They would tag our names and we would get notifications if they needed to specifically notify us or ask questions. Our emails were answered within hours.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
We could sense that they cared about their business and their customers a lot. We felt that we were in good hands from day one.
Are there any areas for improvement?
We're very satisfied. IMHO they couldn't have done it better.

Please describe your company and your position there.
DCAcar is nationwide private car service company. I am the founder and owner of the company.
For what projects/services did your company hire Mazeless Enterprise SEO, and what were your goals?
With growth of our company we needed to redesign our website. We were afraid to lose the traffic with the migration as anything could go wrong.
How did you select Mazeless Enterprise SEO and what were the deciding factors?
A friend had referred. We contacted them and set an interview. I had brought on a consultant to help me with the selection. We were impressed with level of their knowledge. They communicated the possible risks and structured approach on how to mitigate them.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and campaigns.
First, they were supportive and very responsive. They scrutinized our website and made a migration plan. They were trying to make sure we know what to expect. They rolled out the plan and set a staging environment in liaison with the programmers' team. A lot of testing was done before they okayed the migration. At going live they were testing the results all the time. They gave us access to their project management software, where we could see every single bug. I can say that the transition was painless as Mazeless team was super fast at catching and getting the bugs fixed.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
4 people worked with us. Project Manager, Chief SEO, 2 SEO Specialists
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We preserved all our Google rankings that we had. Our top pages stayed on top. Moreover, we started to climb up with some secondary keyword as well. The new website started to perform as we expected.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
They were very proactive, rather being reactive. They would initiate all the check and we felt that they had everything under their control. They constantly sent us some major updates via email. Jira was used a tool to track the whole project.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The team was great to work with. They were super knowledgable and caring. Customer service was so great.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I think Jira was a little complicated for me, maybe they could have used a less complicated project management system.
