For what projects/services did your company hire Matea Social, and what were your goals?
We wanted a super attractive, inspiring, inviting, and attractive website for our business. we hide Matea Social to develop the technical aspects of the website and co-create the design.
How did you select Matea Social and what were the deciding factors?
We spoke with several website developers. Matea Social immediately captured our ideas, brought tremendous value to the initial conversations and showed solidity in knowledge, and gave us great comfort that they were the right choice for us. We were also interested in the fact that Matea Social is a Conscious Capitalist company and part of the proceeds of their work goes into social development in Uruguay in which they participate actively.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
The first step was developing a general outline of the features we want on our website, languages, click possibilities, client and prospect interaction, etc. They were of tremendous help to make complex decisions (at least to us) look simple.
Secondly, based on the initial discussions they presented us with options and explanations of the different platforms available, their capacity flexibility, yearly maintenance cost and development costs. We decided to use Webflow.
Third, they designed a general outline of the website and both Mateea Social and we started to provide content for this design. We had many video calls in which they showed us the design and we played around with it together and made many adaptions to the original design. They were extremely flexible, helpful, and timely in doing this.
We looked for graphs and pictures but many times the graphs and pictures that they choose were better than what we sourced. They captured our minds perfectly.
Finally, we had the test-version up and running and approved on this during a few weeks. The final version worked spotlessly but we decided to make more changes and Mateo Social responded super timely to make this happen.

Tremendous feedback from customers. We have many requests from people that want to publish on our website. We get great feedback from clients and professional organizations in our field.

Pro-active, ahead of the curve, super responsive, professional, clear and concise, executive, kind and inspiring.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their execution (they know what they are doing), their creativity and solution-oriented thinking.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Nope. Super happy. Had several websites designed in my life. They are by far the best. I recommend them to friends and customers.

The Wellbeing Project is a global initiative, and our work catalyzes a culture of inner wellbeing for all changemakers. We do this through model individual and organisational programs, credible research, global and regional learning communities, and storytelling.
We are enabling a more human-centered social change culture to unlock the extraordinary collaboration and innovation needed to address the pressing social and environmental challenges we face, and to build a better world for us all.
In my role as project manager for internal projects, I oversee various internal and emerging projects which exist to further catalyze a culture of wellbeing in the social change sector.
For what projects/services did your company hire Matea Social, and what were your goals?
We hired Matea Social to develop a new pilot project Wellbeing Connect, which is a directory/platform for connecting changemakers with wellbeing practitioners who can provide pro-bono support.
Our goals with this platform are to support the wellbeing of social changemakers, to draw attention to the importance of wellbeing, and to increase the existence of resources to support those working on systems change.
How did you select Matea Social and what were the deciding factors?
We selected Matea Social after a review and comparison process of several organizations which were connected to the network of The Wellbeing Project.
We based our decision upon several factors including ability to tweak and evolve the platform over time, development timeline/rapidity, as well as cost effectiveness (a particularly important factor for a nonprofit organization that relies upon donations for our work)
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
We provided each of the interested developer companies, Matea included, with an outline of the basic functionality we would like in the platform (mobile-friendly, ability for changemakers to filter practitioners on multiple factors such as country and areas of specialty, administrative dashboard for reviewing practitioner profiles, etc.)0
Each company then sent a proposal of the technology to be used to build the platform, the cost, the timeline, and other details. Once we selected Matea as our partners, we proceeded to include them in design workshops where we identified the more precise functionalities, design elements, and features to be included in the first version of the platform.
Finally, the development began, with plenty of opportunity for review & feedback from our co-creation team, the Matea team being very responsive and open to tweaks along the way.

We had 3 main developer contacts with Matea: Martín V., María F., and Toni V.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Our co-creation team has been very pleased with the first version of the platform. We have recently launched the platform to changemakers for active us, and have yet to gather much feedback. So far users have been eager to sign up and be a part of this new platform, both practitioners and changemakers alike.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
We communicated often via email and using text & comments in Google docs to share the functionality & request tweaks along the way. We also used tools such as Trello and Miro in the design sprints to organize the thoughts & ideas and track progress on the platform.
Overall we were very satisfied with the communication and felt we were kept well-informed throughout the process.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Because of a very co-creative process which involved many rounds of feedback and changes while the development was already underway, the process took longer and was more complicated than expected.
The team at Matea remained patient and happy to incorporate whatever was needed, throughout this process, and we very much appreciated their willingness to adapt and respond and provide guidance given our limited technical knowledge.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We noticed some minor issues throughout the review process, but they were very quick to fix them.
The website has received positive feedback from customers, clients, and industry affiliates, thanks to Matea Social's efforts. Proactivity, responsiveness, and professionalism have elevated the team's service. Moreover, their expertise and creative solutions have added value to the project.
