A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-founder of a software company based in San Francisco with two operational offices in South America and Europe.
What challenge were you trying to address with Mark It As Done?
We had a website, but we needed some help with marketing. That included branding, messaging, and web design that would target a specific audience.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The project started with a simple web design component. Then, it expanded into other avenues of design, brand identity, and content strategy. So, it ended up being a design and marketing project. They planned out their work using wireframes and Figma. We launched the website in January 2020, but they’re still working on other aspects of branding for us.
What is the team composition?
We worked with 3–4 of their teammates.
How did you come to work with Mark It As Done?
I knew that their founders successfully worked with another agency. So, I spoke with them and looked at their past work. They seemed like the right fit for the work.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent between $10,000–$25,000 on their services.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in October 2019, and the project is still ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Their design quality is great. Their team has served as a true site design partner from start to finish. It could’ve just bee a small project, but they helped us understand that we could be reaching more people with a greater investment in our brand. They allowed us to select our own development track, helping to make our project unique to us.
How did Mark It As Done perform from a project management standpoint?
They use project management tools like Trello to keep us on the same page. That worked well. There was always transparency about cost, timelines, and the number of phases a development would take. They gave us a good roadmap ahead of time.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their design skills really stood out to us.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything. They did well.
Despite taking on what was initially a small project, the team encouraged and inspired their partner to fully invest in their branding and design to improve the company’s success. They customized the project to meet the unique needs of the client. Their transparency added value.
