An agency for Changemakers...
Maker Street is a brand and design consultancy that crafts groundbreaking, impactful ideas for changemaker brands.
Brand Strategy — Brand Identity — Design and Communications
Our recipe starts with a general curiosity between what is and what’s not. It’s the understanding of what it takes to break an ageing model to make way for the new. Breakthrough creativity and innovation takes great understanding, tinkering and curious thinking.
When all is said and done. We help brands find something interesting to say, and an interesting way to say it.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner and founder of TTI Recruit. We place teachers, graduates, and university lecturers in China, South Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam.
What challenge were you trying to address with Maker Street?
We brought them on to meet all of our marketing, website, and advertising needs.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Maker Street handles our digital marketing, branding, and design efforts. They designed our website, brochures, and logo. Their team also manages how we advertise through Google Ads and Facebook — essentially handling all of our advertising campaigns across the board.
Their team has been with me on this journey since the beginning. They developed the front- and backend of our website. If any leads come through the website, they filter them through to me. They design anything I provide input on.
What is the team composition?
I work with about 5 individuals including Casey (Creative Partner) and Mark (Graphic Designer).
How did you come to work with Maker Street?
They were a personal recommendation from my brother who owns 3–4 companies in Australia.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested between £6,000–£7,000 (approximately $8,000–$9,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement started in May 2019 and it’s ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Maker Street has provided absolute first-class delivery and service. When it comes to cost per lead, I’m at about 60p (approximately 75¢ USD) which is amazing. They’re a big help in increasing my lead generation.
The website design was amazing. My customers have said they like the website’s vibrant colors and photos. It’s simple to understand and provides good explanations of the experience they’ll have. The platform is very direct and my customers are able to understand and access the information they need.
How did Maker Street perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management has been great. They go beyond the call of duty in whatever I need. Their team delivers the requirements and then some. I appreciate how they give me lots of ideas and options on how I can grow and progress my business. We communicate through email, telephone, Google Meet, and instant messaging.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’ve been most impressed with their integrity and honesty. They seem to know what I need to do in my business. Running my own business was new to me, and they’ve provided lots of advice and ideas. Having their experience has been invaluable. What’s more, their team is so reliable. They always keep to deadlines and usually deliver even earlier.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I can’t think of anything.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
If you’re looking to grow your business, no matter what stage you’re at, Maker Street will fit your needs. They’ll help provide a very clear strategic business plan.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the general manager of The Maine Group, a company that offers construction and facilities maintenance services.
For what projects/services did your company hire MakerStreet (formerly Hatchet Agency)?
We hired them to develop our website and branding.
What were your goals for this project?
Our goal was to have a unique, eye-catching, and engaging brand that would stand out from the rest. We were under a lot of pressure to have our website up and running so we could show our clientele.
How did you select this vendor?
We had worked with another marketing company, but they could not quite grasp the concept we were looking for. We decided to try MakerStreet (formerly Hatchet Agency) because of a referral from another business.
Describe the project in detail.
Since we do not have an in-house team, we outsourced the whole process to MakerStreet (formerly Hatchet Agency). Aside from developing our website and branding, they also created our logos and business cards. After seeing the mockups, we didn’t request any changes because we were happy with what they’d sent.
What was the team composition?
Our primary contact was MakerStreet's (formerly Hatchet Agency's) head of strategy, who was exceptional to deal with.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
MakerStreet (formerly Hatchet Agency) delivered an excellent product on short notice.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The communication was easy, with the team seeking clarification before we approved the final output. They were highly accommodating with our requests and answered every question promptly.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I was impressed with the fast and efficient service. We loved that MakerStreet (formerly Hatchet Agency) delivered a standout product.
Are there any areas for improvement?
No, I can’t think of anything.

Branding & Content Creation for Electrical Contracting Company
“Our new marketing and messaging are strong and help us stand out from the crowd.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am one of the directors of SEM Group, an electrical contracting company in Queensland, Australia. We offer electrical contracting, solar, and most recently metal fabrication services.
What challenge were you trying to address with MakerStreet (formerly Hatchet Agency)?
We weren’t engaging with our customers as well as we should. Our sales process worked effectively, but was fairly disjointed. Our company needed help with branding and content creation.
What was the scope of their involvement?
MakerStreet (formerly Hatchet Agency) unified the messaging across our different businesses and websites. They helped us define our goals more clearly and understand what we wanted to achieve and why. They developed all of our strategies for committing to a greener world, which is our central mission.
Our company is exceptionally busy and proficient, but we don’t have any in-house creative agency to facilitate our automation. MakerStreet (formerly Hatchet Agency) has essentially rewritten how we communicate with our customers from a CRM point of view.
MakerStreet (formerly Hatchet Agency) guided us through the CRM process and explained why we needed one. We took their advice and got a system in place with the help of another vendor. They created the automations our internal team lacked the expertise or time for. The team has taken many tasks we’ve always wanted to do and made them happen.
What is the team composition?
I personally work with three people from the team. Casey (Director, MakerStreet, formerly Hatchet Agency) is our main point of contact.
How did you come to work with MakerStreet (formerly Hatchet Agency)?
The current director used to work with a different company we’d hired in the past. We’ve spoken with many vendors over the years, and MakerStreet (formerly Hatchet Agency) certainly seems to be more customer-engaged than most.
How much have you invested in them?
We have spent $60,000–$70,000 AUD (approximately $42,000–$49,000 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working together in June 2018 and have an ongoing relationship.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
MakerStreet (formerly Hatchet Agency) put together an amazing presentation to show us the journey of our engagement and how much work they have done for us. The content and designs they created have been excellent and made a massive difference. The team’s work fully met our standards and we’ve received positive feedback.
We keep an eye on social media and have noticed that three out of five people recommend in many forums where people ask who they should hire for solar. This result isn’t just based on our performance; I think it’s also due to our branding. Our new marketing and messaging are strong and help us stand out from the crowd.
How did MakerStreet (formerly Hatchet Agency) perform from a project management standpoint?
We are a somewhat difficult client because we throw MakerStreet (formerly Hatchet Agency) ad hoc projects left, right, and center. They use a Gantt chart to track our goals and timeframes.
Our industry is very fast-moving, so we have to take advantage of trends as they arise. MakerStreet (formerly Hatchet Agency) has to fit these additions into the overall project management and timeframes, and they’re typically very adept.
What did you find most impressive about them?
MakerStreet (formerly Hatchet Agency) took the time to get to know our business. Rather than just telling us what they thought we should do, they researched the market and what we stand for as a company. Their recommendations included what our message should aim to achieve and how to make our brand more cohesive.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No. We are probably too demanding in our expectations. In our line of business, customers expect things overnight, which often isn’t achievable. As a general rule, MakerStreet's (formerly Hatchet Agency's) work is exceptionally quick.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
MakerStreet (formerly Hatchet Agency) has a fresh mindset. They think outside of the box to help clients understand what they need to achieve. I recommend them with certainty to all my business colleagues. They’re a great match for any client who wants to satisfy their brand and get to know and interact with their customers better.
The partner's leads have increased, and the website boasts vibrant colors and simple navigation. The Maker Street team's services and advice have been invaluable to the partner's business. They go above and beyond and are reliable in their efforts. Integrity and honesty are hallmarks of their work.
