I launched my private tutoring company for math and physics. I am the founder and main tutor.
For what projects/services did your company hire Mak Web Media, and what were your goals?
I hired Mak Web Media to build a WordPress website for my tutoring business. My goal was to be able to book clients online and eventually sell merchandise and online courses.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Mak Web Media's communication skills were the best by far. They were quick to deliver and responded immediately.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Mak Web Media built a WordPress Website with custom pages. The Divi theme was used and they were very responsive to feedback. They were able to embed Desmos graphs on the site which was great!
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I only worked with one person who was great. I believe they might have been the only employee at the time.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
A highly customized WordPress website was from scratch in a few days. I still use the website daily after a year and they even showed me how to upload content so I do not need to be dependent on them.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
The communication was extremely fast, clear, and friendly. We exchanged emails, used a shared document, but we also video called to make sure we were on the same page. By far the best communicator on the market. Projects were accomplished way faster than expected.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The dedication of Mak Web Media is what differentiates them from the rest. They worked long hours to complete the project in advance and made sure to communicate clearly. I have stayed in touch with them since the experience was so pleasant. I even referred others to their web services.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Nothing. If they did not know how to do something already, they did research and learned how to get it done. Great experience!
