What was the scope of their involvement?
We went from no advertising to a lot of advertising. We created all those assets and put together how we were going to change perceptions. They were in charge of the all the creative. They did everything from strategy and research to devising the various campaigns. That included TV, radio, outdoor, and digital.
They designed and implemented a mobile app for us. They did research internally and externally to the UI/UX to architecture and testing. They work hand in hand with our IT department. Our IT department was not well-versed in frontend development so they came in and consulted with our team to make it happen. They helped us to connect a lot of our in-house systems. The app replicates our website, but it’s more consumer-friendly. Our website had to appeal to the States because our clients are on government-funded healthcare. The app is for people that need to find a doctor or a health insurance plan, have a question about their claim, etc.
We did a brand tracker study to track us all the way from awareness through use. We were able to track a lot of success. Magnani helped a lot from both the creative standpoint and the drafting. This included strategy and assistance with UI/UX.
What is the team composition?
It changed over time. The core account service team was always the same. There were 2–3 people depending on how busy we were at the time and what level of strategy we were in. We had different people helping out. Creatively, we had another 2 people. We did a lot of digital work with them and that required a different team in addition to typical account service people. There was a total of less than 10, but more than 5 people on the account.
How did you come to work with Magnani?
I worked for them a long time ago. I hired them twice since then. At Molina, we looked at 5 different agencies all over the country. We were looking for a certain size and creativity, and experience in healthcare was important for us. We also liked their digital work.
