Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the export manager for a pottery manufacturer. We do an organic water reservoir for your plants and gardens, and we use an ancestral method that we’ve created a 2.0 version of.
What challenge were you trying to address with LYO Agency?
I needed help with a mailing campaign for the UK market.
What was the scope of their involvement?
LYO Agency did an email campaign for six emails — they also did the copywriting, made the MailChimp accounts, and wrote the emails. In addition, we also sent them some video and photo content.
They not only handled the writing aspect, but they’re also working on launching the campaign at the right time — they control everything on the timetable. The team also gave a lot of input in terms of strategy. When we got a reply or click-through, they provided me a list of the hotlist to call.
I initially provided her with the minimum requirements. We spent quite a while on several meetings over the phone to understand exactly who we were, how we work, and what the purpose of the exercise was. They really dove deeply through everything with us, even on the approach. They went beyond the content and the strategy on how to approach the project.
For the copywriting, I sent the brochures of the product, the video, and photos. They then did all the research to understand who we were and what we wanted to achieve. LYO didn’t hesitate to get us back on track when we were getting off track.
I’m an entrepreneur and work on several businesses. LYO will do all my mailing campaigns and copywriting from now on for all my businesses.

What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in May 2021 and our partnership is still ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Sarah did a fantastic job with the copywriting in the sense of the approach in regards to the audience targeted — she went above my expectations. I’m extremely satisfied with the work she did so I’ll use her from now on. I’m quite difficult to impress but Sarah really impressed me.
How did LYO Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
I do the project management. We initially spent at least 4–5 hours on the phone together, and also use email to communicate. When she was getting each email ready, she sent it to me before launching the campaign — I was able to check the content of the copywriting. I’d give my go-ahead or ask for changes and she’ll get it done. It’s an extremely smooth cooperation.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Sarah understood what I wanted. I didn’t have to repeat myself twice and she was also very fast. This is another reason why I will give all the work to her.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I’m really pleased. Everything has been perfect.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
You can work with them with your eyes closed. I’d recommend them every single day of the week without hesitation. They’re professionals and they know how to speak to professionals — they know how to deliver in a fast manner.
