There was a period of time when the results started slowing down through increase in competition and other factors. We had a meeting with them a few months ago, and there was a strategy rethink. This has now been implemented and we're seeing much more substantial results, and we're seeing the highest sales we've had online

What challenge were you trying to address with Loud Mouth Media?
We were trying to increase organic traffic and conversions through SEO and PPC.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Once we described our goals, they came up with a proposal for us. Part of the project included managing and optimizing PPC campaigns, such as Google Ads and Bing Ads. They try to get us the lowest possible conversion cost for us. They test different strategies.
In the SEO aspect of the project, they help us divide existing content and repurpose it into multiple articles to drive organic traffic. They also advise us on keywords and how to optimize out content. We’re now looking into backlink campaign.
What is the team composition?
We work primarily with two people — one on PPC, and another on SEO — and they collaborate with one another quite a bit.
How did you come to work with Loud Mouth Media?
We stumbled upon them online. They’ve won a few awards in the UK. We spoke to several providers, but when we spoke to Loud Mouth Media, we liked their approach and how they presented themselves. We spoke to their commercial lead and they seemed to fit our needs.

Our reports show a significant increase in our organic positioning. More of our pages are rankings in organic search, and our ranking are climbing. Our visibility in organic search has definitely improved. For our PPC campaigns, our cost of conversion is much better. It’s clear that what they’re doing for us works.
How did Loud Mouth Media perform from a project management standpoint?
It’s very good. They’re easy to work with, easy to collaborate with, and they’re responsive. We brainstorm ideas together and they respond to us quickly when we have an issue. I have quite a close relationship with them and we talk every other week. We also talk here and there in between by email and Zoom.
Their pricing is fair and very reasonable. They’ve been very flexible throughout the pandemic.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re very straightforward while other agencies we talked to had exaggerated claims. Loud Mouth Media is more down to earth and practical. They don’t use a lot of jargon and they’re never misleading. They’re easy to collaborate with and they make good suggestions.
Are there any areas they could improve?
To be honest, I don’t really have any criticisms. At the beginning, they weren’t very open to backlinking campaigns. They eventually did decide to expand their services to include that. So they’ve been working with us to test that program and have given us a good deal.

Have a really clear idea of what you’re trying to achieve. A lot of people just want to pass work to agencies, but you get a much better result when you work together as a team and take each other’s suggestions in consideration.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a senior communications specialist for Liberty IT. We are the software house for Liberty Mutual Insurance, and we provide a range of software solutions for Liberty Mutual across the globe.
What challenge were you trying to address with Loud Mouth Media?
We had a website but, especially looking back, it wasn’t great. It didn’t really meet the needs of the company in terms of our positioning in the recruitment market, which is the main focus area of our website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Our new website was developed about two years ago and at that point, Loud Mouth Media was brought on to do our SEO work, which is very much tied to our branding proposition. Conor (SEO Account Manager) contacts me and makes suggestions.
It isn’t so much structural website work because it is quite a small website, but he does give us advice on the layout. For example, he lets us know if there is a space where there might be more room for text. In addition to handling keyword tracking, they also do our SEO reports every month.
Another agency does our advertising campaigns but Loud Mouth Media comes on as an additional partner. They do a lot of our PPC advertising as well when we run campaigns. The team is starting to take on link building work as well, but that’s still in the early stages.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with about four people. Conor has been my main point of contact.
How did you come to work with Loud Mouth Media?
I wasn’t with the company at the time when we brought them on. I started in July, and my two predecessors both left at the same time.
How much have you invested in them?

What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement began at the start of 2018 when the new website was developed. The work is still ongoing, and we are actually looking to potentially move to a different CMS, so we would be taking their advice and recommendations.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Their work has been particularly helpful because they are able to give us an outsider’s view whereas I am often so buried in the content and don’t necessarily always see that perspective. We’ve had an excellent, positive, and productive relationship.
We do a graduate and intern campaign every autumn for student recruitment. We had a really successful campaign just last year where our numbers in terms of applications from students who were applying for roles in the company were through the roof.
The numbers were more than double what we had the previous year, thanks to Loud Mouth Media’s work. We also have more qualitative measures of success which include developing the working relationship that we have with the team.
How did Loud Mouth Media perform from a project management standpoint?
It is a relatively small project so we just do everything via email and phone calls. We will either go to them or they will come to us as we are not too far away geographically. They come very well prepared for meetings and talk us through the successes. When there have been issues, they’ve been willing to address them.
We get a monthly report from Loud Mouth Media which we use to look at our organic search rates. We also use it to track certain keywords. Conor meets with me every month to go through the SEO report and makes suggestions about content on the website.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Loud Mouth Media is really easy to work with and very flexible. The team makes suggestions that we never would’ve thought of. Their proactivity and creative insights on different subjects have been extremely helpful. Conor has been absolutely invaluable, and that is not an exaggeration.
He has been fabulous at explaining everything to me and has suggested training that I could do. He is also a great sounding board, so if I have ideas or suggestions, I can run them past him. This makes everything easy to understand.

No, not that I can think of.

Just sit down and have an honest conversation with them. In my first couple of meetings with them, I was very honest that this was all very new. I had done content management in lots of jobs in the past but had neither done SEO and PPC work nor had a budget to spend.
