Feedback summary:

Although the development efforts ultimately remained internal, Logic Way demonstrated clear technical capabilities. Their customer support continues to play a key role in operations. Customers can expect clear communication and a competent team.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the managing director at an online business intermediary, which is similar to an online advertising business. We connect small companies with prospective clients in business or consumer services.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Logic Way?

We needed resources to help us with web development and customer support for one of our service lines.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Logic Way collaborated with us to create a mobile-friendly web domain that serves as a dedicated channel for one of our service categories. Using the site, customers can place requests for a boiler installation by filling out the relevant information and posting the form. We then log their request in our database. The web project alone took 3–4 weeks to complete and involved an API integration on the backend. They also worked on the frontend using HTML and provided graphic design materials.

Once we launched the site, they provided temp workers to augment our customer support staff. They currently continue to help users with all sorts of matters, from payment issues to configuring accounts.

What is the team composition?

During the development phase, we worked with a developer and a project manager. We now have three resources on their side handling customer support.

How did you come to work with Logic Way?

I wanted to set up a support desk for our platform in Belarus and got in contact with Logic Way through a mutual acquaintance. Some of their staff had unique skills that we were looking for, particularly resources who could support Swedish customers. As a result, we naturally moved forward with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $500,000 thus far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working together since 2008.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The web domain they worked on was more of a test for us. While they performed well, we opted to keep almost all of our technology development in-house. On the customer support side, they remain an important partner. Because offering customer support is an essential part of our operation, I appreciate how well they’re doing.

How did Logic Way perform from a project management standpoint?

For the development phase, everything went well. We communicated in English via email and Skype. As for the customer support team, we handle most of the project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team is full of smart people. They’re technologically proficient, hardworking, and loyal. Even though I don’t take advantage of all of their services, I know that they’re capable of a lot.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We run the operations for their customer support team from here in Sweden, but I wish they could be a little more involved with the management on their side.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It’s important to establish a thorough project plan with clear requirements. That way, they can assign people with the right competencies to shorten the project time and avoid setbacks.

Feedback summary:

The team’s research and insight ensure successful results. As a result, the solutions receive positive user feedback. Logic Way’s approach encourages clear communication and proactive project management. Regularly scheduled meetings make the partnership effective.

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the VP of marketing for ExactFlat, an independent software vendor. We provide 3D and 2D flattening services for the soft goods industry. I oversee lead generation, customer requirements, product management, outbound marketing, and email.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Logic Way?

As a small software firm, we run the business as a virtual firm and retain a minimum amount of full-time staff. We hired Logic Way to scale development resources quickly on a project-by-project basis.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

As our outsource partner, Logic Way does approximately 20% development for one product line. The partnership focuses on our software for SaaS or cloud-based solutions. The team has completed several projects for that one area of our company.

We provide an overview of the product requirements, access to software examples, samples to finished results, and documentation that outlines our goals for the marketplace. Logic Way does primary research because we do not send complete specifications. These research areas include available tools, UI, geometry-based applications, and the logic behind various functions. From there, we collaborate to develop the product specifications, design documentation, and QA or testing plan. In addition, they provide the timeline and make recommendations.

Logic Way only initiates development after we’ve approved everything. Next, the team creates test builds of the software before delivering the finished code. They need our approval before progressing through each step. Logic Way then provides ongoing support—bug fixes and updates—over the life of the product.

What is the team composition?

I work with two project managers and a lead developer.

How did you come to work with Logic Way?

One of my partners at a large software firm recommended Logic Way. We looked at other vendors, but chose the team because their schedule and pricing met our needs.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in 2016 and the partnership is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We measure quality by customer feedback as well as the performance of the tools that Logic Way had recommended for development. The team does excellent work across the board.

How did Logic Way perform from a project management standpoint?

We have seamless communication between teams; each side clearly understands the other. We develop specifications on Google Docs and then use the tool to store tracking and testing information.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team has made solid recommendations based on our initial specifications. They capably decode the product requirements to find the most appropriate workflow.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Early on, we didn’t do a good job tracking progress; we didn’t expect the process to be so involved to require that effort. However, written documentation and diligent milestone tracking have eliminated that issue.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Clients should have defined market requirements, even if they haven’t thought out the implementation completely. Be a diligent partner and ensure that Logic Way delivers the plan and schedule promptly. Have bi-weekly check-ins to manage the process.
