We were looking for someone we could basically add to the team to bring into client marketing engagements. The true key was finding someone I felt comfortable bringing into sales calls, who I could trust to really carry the conversation, understand the needs of the end client, ask the right questions, and then come up with the right strategy.
From there, be able to run end-to-end campaigns to bring the end client to their desired outcome.

It began with posting to Upwork, then interviewing some people who responded, then went into some test projects, and Adam killed it every step of the way, and quickly transformed into being more or less a part of the company on the marketing team.

What started as hiring Llama Lead Gen to put together and implement a social media ad campaign strategy, morphed into them becoming our all around marketing ninjas/CMO.
To date, they've done everything from building out our paid ad campaigns, organic social campaigns, creating landing pages, scheduling out organic social media posts, quickly whipping up campaigns to drive new opportunities with our database, joining potential client calls, driving digital marketing efforts for my clients, developing extensive digital marketing strategies, and creating email drip/nurture campaigns as well as chatbots and marketing automations.

Adam is the founder and is involved in all aspects from project management, to consultation and strategy, all the way down to execution and implementation. We generated over 50 confirmed bookings for a nation-wide moving company.
The client offers moving services across the United States. As they were growing and moving into new markets, they needed help building awareness of their brand within the moving industry and obtaining more bookings in key markets. SaaS B2B Strategy for Community Engagement App
About: The client developed a unique software platform to help large B2C enterprises involve employees and customers in serving their community, empowering them to share inspiring stories and showcase volunteering efforts to initiate brand advocacy.
What they were seeking: They were looking for a team with strong expertise in executing ad campaigns and generating enterprise leads on LinkedIn. The end goal was to generate brand awareness and schedule demos with target executives and optimize for a low CPL per qualified demo sign-up.
What we did: We consulted on, executed and monitored ad campaigns to generate qualified enterprise leads. Identified 2 creative concepts, setup campaigns, ad groupings, and tracking. We designed ads based on creative concepts and set the messaging and tone of voice. We created lead generation forms to capture contact information for demo call.
Results: We generated 243 leads, 550 social actions (likes, comments, and shares), a steady CTR in line with the campaign goals (-0.75% and above the benchmark of 0.35%), as well as 5 registered sign-ups over the course of a 1-month campaign.

Increasing Voter Turnout for 2020 Election
The Ad Council, known for its PSAs and willingness to tackle social issues to drive change, sought to increase voter turnout for the 2020 presidential election. They wanted to target underrepresented communities, eligible voters who were not registered, and those who did not vote in the previous election.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I run marketing for a fraud solutions company.
What challenge were you trying to address with Llama Lead Gen?
Llama Lead Gen helps us market ourselves to generate money so that we can help more banks and lenders with fraud. We want to bring our solution to more banks and lenders in order to create awareness of the various solutions that are available to them to combat fraud.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I reached out to help us with sponsored LinkedIn posts. We were hosting a webinar and wanted to generate more attendance via paid social ads. I connected with Adam (Founder & CEO) and he walked me through all the steps to get that campaign up and running. By the time that one was going, we had a white paper ready for a second one. He helped with everything from setting up an initial campaign to running competing ads and testing and learning from that.
He also assisted with creative content that would be presented in the ad. Working on the copywriting of the ad, he helped with wording so it would generate the most clicks. He helped me understand the analytics of the campaign in a very nuts and bolts way.
Currently, he’s in the middle of a digital audit of the digital marketing capabilities of our competitors. The plan is to take a look at what they’re doing, and figure out how to launch a paid Google Ad campaign to address that. We’ve also been talking about email marketing campaigns too.

We saw above average performance on a number of campaigns, successful flighting of new beta campaigns and even tested non-English creative with very successful results - an approach no other client had attempted previously.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of media at a non-profit organization that's dedicated to using advertising to change behaviors on key topics. I'm involved in both social and emerging platforms.
What challenge were you trying to address with Llama Lead Gen?
We buy or place media on Reddit in order to get our creatives in front of audiences. We were looking for help running our budget for Reddit. We wanted someone with an understanding of the platform who could work alongside us and create plans that drive engagement and lower cost.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Llama Lead Gen is working with us to build media plans. They are liaising between the teams that build the campaigns and translating their objectives into that media plan. They are also addressing questions coming from Reddit, providing wrap up reports, and providing feedback to the team based on what they suggest.
We would do a sit down with the campaign team and understand what assets they have to run their objectives, their call to action, their target, and Llama Lead Gen will put together a media plan. We will then review their output, give feedback and suggestions, and then confirm with the media team that we work with.

How did you come to work with Llama Lead Gen?
Adam was recommended to us by a friend of his that has worked with our team in the past. Out of the final candidates that we interviewed, he seemed the best. We need to get up and running very quickly and he was able to do that.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested around $400,000–$450,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Llama Lead Gen in August 2020 and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re still live with a lot of our campaigns so it’s hard to give in depth feedback on the results, but our first campaign that wrapped up was pretty successful.
How did Llama Lead Gen perform from a project management standpoint?
Adam was very flexible. He uses certain communication tools that were not the best process for our relationship, but he easily pivoted to the process that we have internally. He moves at a good pace and is able to keep up with how quickly we need things implemented. At the pace that we’re going, things could have been smoother if we slowed down a bit.
With the amount of work that we had to do in a small amount of time, we’re very pleased with how quickly he was able to understand our organization in order to navigate between project management for our teams and with our Reddit partners. A lot of our communication was done through Slack or emails.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their pace of being able to start a project was impressive. They were able to jump in and reach out to our team and get the information they needed in order to get things moving quickly.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I think they could work on their accuracy. There are things that need to be double-checked so we don’t run into things that would affect the project drastically. Overall, nothing happened that was detrimental to our business or launching on time.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure you’re up to speed with him because he was able to implement a bit quickly and making sure that what is communicated is understood; provide regular updates every week to have that constant verbal communication.

I needed to find a marketing 'one-stop-shop'. Working currently full time in the Ad industry, i knew to accomplish what i needed would require multiple initiatives. Improved social media engagement, larger audience, refined line of merchandise, targeting different audiences and learning from that, marketing products to those found audiences, expanding marketing efforts to new and emerging platforms, and then tapping into an expert who is on top of current trends and technologies related to all of this!

Improve my social presence, identify an audience, and market effectively to that audience. Also, to find a partner, that could do this for me, long term.

Above and beyond! Adam and Llama are truly now my go-to partner!

Adam is my go-to marketing guru, but he also has brought in other members of his team, so there is a real one-on-one sense of collaboration, and working together; a copywriter, and a designer.

We are still working toward launching our paid campaigns, as this is still a new relationship, and there has been a lot of leg-work, and revamping of my product that is currently happening. But i have every confidence in Adam's guidance, and his team's, that when we launch, the sky will be the limit!
To me the metric of progress and success so far, has been Adam's constant communication and transparency, along the way, and how dependable his organization has been.

Apart from dependability and expertise in the core asks of my marketing plan, we're continually impressed with their efforts to give us little 'marketing nuggets' along the way; sometimes it's a text message with an interesting article, or an email explaining the latest tech innovation on Instagram, or a video he recorded walking me through step by step, how to set up this, or that. All of these are unsolicited, and really appreciated!
