A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the e-commerce and digital marketing manager at Adorne. We’re an Australian-based accessory and fashion company. We have a wide range of products and sell to wholesale and retail customers with a broad customer base.
What challenge were you trying to address with little crank.?
We’re currently using our old platform but are moving over to use Shopify. We wanted to hone in on who our target market is and get the most data out of all our avenues, including our website, Google Ads, Instagram, and all those channels.
What was the scope of their involvement?
little crank. has provided digital strategy support, helping us drill down into the data from various channels to hone in on our audience. they’ve worked with us to come up with a clear idea of where we need to focus our energy on marketing. They help us find our target market and figure out the best way to approach them.
After proposing the strategy, they’ve been a big help in understanding Klaviyo and creating flows for our email marketing. They’ve pointed us in the right direction for the types of marketing we should do and the right people to work with us on those aspects.
What is the team composition?
I just work with one person from their team.
How did you come to work with little crank.?
I saw their website online and saw they were local to us, so we decided they’d be the best fit.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent a few thousand dollars with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working together since May 2020 and we have an ongoing contract, so we go to them whenever we need support.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We haven’t launched our website yet, but internally the feedback has been phenomenal from my boss and people in our company. The amount of change to cater to our customers has been impressive. They’ve helped point us in the right direction. Since we only have a retail presence and aren’t a brick and mortar shop, figuring out the strategy and email marketing campaigns have been really beneficial.
How did little crank. perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re very direct, which is good because there is no fluffing around and we know what we’ll get from them. We’ve worked with other people who don’t get to the point, and that’s not the case with them. They lay out deadlines and stick to them, which is great considering there are 1,000 things to do in a day and I can count on them to be reliable.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m really impressed with their work ethic, knowledge, and ability to be direct. We’re stoked to have found them and work with them. Overall, we’ve had a great experience.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing at the moment for them to improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Go in knowing exactly what you want to get out of the conversation. If you let them know what direction you want to go in and give them as much information as possible, they will hone in on it.
