the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of Roam Trips LLC, a new and innovative travel website where users can find other people to travel with. We’re a community built off of traveling experiences.
What challenge were you trying to address with Liquid Technologies?
We needed to develop a mobile application with functionalities catered to the industry and travelers.
What was the scope of their involvement?
First, Liquid Technologies broke down the plan and goals for this project. They also created a marketing analysis, which gave us guidance and pointers to establish the direction we wanted to take. Additionally, we designed the user personas together.
Liquid Technologies has been working on the app's UX/UI design using Figma. They've also worked on the app's wireframes and front- and backend development. The app will be available for Android, iOS, and desktop.
Moreover, Liquid Technologies has established each phase of the developing process, and each has its own agenda and itinerary. They also work on our website as a long-term project.
What is the team composition?
We work with a team of 10–15 specialists from Liquid Technologies, including the CEO, a project manager, and a team lead.
How did you come to work with Liquid Technologies?
A marketing company that we work with referred Liquid Technologies to us. Initially, we had a consultancy meeting where we discussed pricing terms and different agreements — we wanted to see if we were the right fit for one another. We moved forward with Liquid Technologies because they had previously worked with startups and small businesses.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with Liquid Technologies in June 2022, and our partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re pleased with the work Liquid Technologies has delivered so far. They’re good at taking directions, proposing ideas, and thinking about what would work for our customers and our app. If their idea works, we move forward with it.
We discuss each phase of the project, and we’ve been happy with the stages they’ve completed. There’s room for changes if necessary, but we rarely ask for major ones. Liquid Technologies has been of great help and received only positive feedback from our team. Moreover, they’ve been transparent about their services and provided excellent customer service.
How did Liquid Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
Liquid Technologies has been great at communicating with us. They answer all my emails, and we have direct communication as needed. We also meet once a week. When the matter requires a quick answer, we have a phone call. We use Jira for project management.
Moreover, Liquid Technologies has been straightforward about their fees and work. Before moving on to the next phase, they ensure their work is pre-approved. Overall, they’re great at demonstrating the action items they’re working on and showing the results when they complete them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m most impressed with Liquid Technologies’ development skills and ability to build an app from scratch. They’ve taken an idea and turned it into a scalable product.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I recommend potential customers trust Liquid Technologies; they’re great at adapting to your budget and needs. Don’t worry if you don’t know where to start because Liquid Technologies will guide you and cater the service according to your budget and needs.
If you feel like you’ve knocked on every door and haven’t found the right service provider, I’d recommend talking to Liquid Technologies — they’ll listen to your ideas and work with you. They’ve been very open with us and addressed all our concerns.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the CEO of the Who's On LLC social media platform
For what projects/services did your company hire Liquid Technologies, and what were your goals?
We wanted to build a platform for people to grow their businesses
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
With many options for developers, we chose Liquid Technologies because of multiple office areas. One of the offices is in Houston where I live. Also after meeting with Liquid Technologies face to face we knew they were up for the challenge.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Weekly meetings, testing, updates, bug fixes, and communications were handled very well.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Five or six. Project managers, coders, graphics design, consultants etc
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Yes the app is launched and growing and Liquid Technologies continues to do maintenance on the app for us.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Our project was big, so lots of communication was used in messaging apps where we could post videos of errors. Those then went into priority high medium or low. They would work on it and shoot a new test build. Very timely
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their desire to make things the way we wanted it built. Their passion to make us a great product is impressive.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I would say sometimes the phone calls would be static or choppy, but it would be fixed really fast to a different line.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of systems and technologies for Trans-Global Solutions Inc. I oversee our IT department and development projects.
What challenge were you trying to address with Liquid Technologies?
We wanted to bring our critical data and applications in-house to move away from using third-party apps to access our data.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Liquid Technologies has built an internal employee portal, which has helped bring our core competency processes in-house.
First, we met with the founder of Liquid Technologies in person to discuss our project goals and define the scope of work. Then, the team developed the UI/UX foundation from scratch, customized it to meet our needs, and enabled the software to expand in functionality.
They’ve deployed the software on-premise, so it operates within our IT environment. The portal is a web application, but Liquid Technologies has mirrored the app for mobile use on iOS and Android. They’ve continued to maintain the platform and are our go-to technical support partner.
Aside from the portal project, they’ve built API connections for another system so that we can pull data internally. Additionally, they’ve used their API technology to help with smaller video analytics projects.
What is the team composition?
We’ve mainly worked with Hadi (Founder) and a project manager who liaises with the mobile team.
How did you come to work with Liquid Technologies?
We found Liquid Technologies and a few other service providers on Clutch. Then, we went through an RFQ process, and Liquid Technologies stood out to us because they moved quickly and connected us with their CTO. It was clear that they had an efficient process and could help us meet our goals, so we chose to move forward with the partnership.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested roughly $100,000–$200,000 in the partnership with Liquid Technologies.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working together in February 2021, and the partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Once Liquid Technologies deployed the software they created, we were able to cut ties with our third-party application, which was our primary goal. They’ve been very agile as the project scope has changed directions and accommodated our needs to give us a high-quality final product.
We’ve rolled the software out to multiple departments, who’ve received it well. With everything being in-house now, we can more clearly track analytics, which has enabled our employees to better manage our safety and testing.
How did Liquid Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
Faizan has done a great job managing our projects; he leads our initiatives efficiently and works hard to move each project forward. They’ve been responsive and timely throughout the engagement, and we see them as a long-term strategic partner.
As with any project, there have been bumps in the road, but Liquid Technologies has talked us through obstacles and helped us achieve our goals. They’ve been very dynamic and supportive partners. We use Trello to manage the project and communicate via email and Zoom.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Liquid Technologies is truly a one-stop shop; they have a wide range of technical capabilities that have significantly benefited our relationship. We’ve been happy with their overall development process and final deliverables.
They’re also very dynamic and nimble partners, which is essential in this day and age. They're quick to meet our needs and provide solutions whenever we need to add functionality or adjust the project scope. As other projects and development opportunities arise, we’re confident we can turn to Liquid Technologies to help us.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I have nothing Liquid Technologies could improve on.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I advise going into the project with a clearly-defined scope to ensure you’re on the same page. Be open to working closely with the Liquid Technologies team, and communicate your goals and objectives, so they understand what you’re trying to achieve.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of ProCheck, an industrial analytics company with a B2B SaaS model.
What challenge were you trying to address with Liquid Technologies?
We had a client request that came out of nowhere. As a result, we had to completely migrate our infrastructure from one cloud provider to the other so we hired Liquid Technologies.
What was the scope of their involvement?
To start, they tried everything to ensure that we could stay on the existing provider. When that didn’t work, we moved to the migration from one cloud provider to another. This migration meant we had to rebuild the entire web application. There were a few items that pertained to our information security management and a few other deliverables, as well.
What is the team composition?
Hadi (Founder) worked as our CTO and also provided a full-time developer and a few other people for contract work.
How did you come to work with Liquid Technologies?
One of Hadi’s associates introduced me to him a few years ago. We chose them primarily because Hadi had good experience and the team had a good list of reputable references. Most of the reviews we heard were pretty good.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent $40,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together on this project from January–December 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We had a pretty detailed process and everything they delivered was on time and on spec. It was worthwhile to work with them.
How did Liquid Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
We used Trello and had weekly calls to go over everything. Once every two weeks, we did a sprint review and planned.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They had really strong technical talent on their team.
Are there any areas they could improve?
If they had more customer-facing roles, that could help.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I recommend them and we plan to continue working with them in the future. Be sure to scope out the process and the kind of resources that are required.

Development Staff Augmentation for B2B SaaS Startup
"Know that you’re going to work with a good company with Liquid Technologies."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the CEO and founder of a B2B SaaS startup based out of San Francisco and we’re fairly young — six months old — with about 10 people. We’ve raised around $2 million dollars in venture capital. Our company was born in the pandemic and we’re a global team.
Our business focuses on the B2B marketing automation space. We build software for sales teams, specifically enablement tools which help them use intent data to identify prospects they should be selling to. We also help our third-party clients to operationalize that process.
What challenge were you trying to address with Liquid Technologies?
Before we actually had a product, we had an idea to build our company six months ago, in July last year. At that time, we didn’t have a product, we just wanted to build something really quickly. I’m an experienced operator — product manager, so I know how to build products. I needed a reliable technology partner to work with to build the first version of our product and test it out with some customers before committing to building a company team and raising venture capital.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They worked with us directly as full-time employees. We got an idea and a product. I wanted to work with customers to understand their needs better. The team provided me engineering support, basically almost entirely everything that went into building the product itself and I ended up owning the customer process. I would typically work with customers to figure out what they were looking to build.
As a result, I worked with the Liquid Technologies team to translate those into requirements and specifications which were broken down into sprints. Then, the team executed our requests. What they did was the everyday engineering execution and they also helped with the architecture of the project.
We built this on Google Cloud Platform and JavaScript. Meanwhile, our backend was based on Google Cloud and Firestore. It wasn’t very complicated and they were responsible for both front- and backend. Basically, they were responsible for everything, from the specifications to the design itself. It was a 12-week long project. We’re continuing to work with their code and managing it together with their team.
What is the team composition?
In total, four people worked on the project. I typically worked with 2 full-time engineers. We also worked with a project manager who was also our architect and collaborated part-time on the higher-level architecture side of things. The project manager was with us a couple of days a week.
How did you come to work with Liquid Technologies?
I met the founder of Liquid Technologies a few years ago and I had a conversation with him at a conference. I think he came across as someone who was smart. At that time, I was looking for a partner to work with and I reached out to a few folks and talked to them. He agreed to be one of the folks that could help us with our project, so that’s how we ended up working together.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent approximately $60,000–$70,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our major collaboration ran from July–December 2020, but we still have an ongoing relationship with them.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
With their help, we were able to get from basically nothing to launching our first version. They were on time and mostly on target. Our goal was to validate our idea, do something, implement it, and work with customers directly to figure out how valuable our product was — and we were able to do that. In addition, we were able to fundraise on the back of that. The project itself was very successful at meeting its initial goals.
How did Liquid Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
They were very responsive. They really fit into our roles — within our Slack and within our tooling. Everything was good as it could be, it was perfect.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Early on, speed really mattered a lot and it still does, and the team was able to get their arms up very quickly. Furthermore, they get us knocking through some results swiftly too, and that was impressive.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I have no major concerns and I definitely would want to work with them again. Speed comes with transparency — and they could probably be better with transparency around managing the project management component which was composed of how many hours they worked and what that work went into. Greater visibility could also be better, but it was not a big deal because we didn’t really work with them on an hourly basis and it was a flat rate. However, this could be definitely their area of improvement next time around.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
You don’t work with companies, but with people. In relation to that, make sure you are going to work with the best team — know that you’re going to work with a good company with Liquid Technologies.

Web Portal Design Consulting for Background Screening Firm
“We've been very pleased with Liquid Technologies and the results.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the director of client relations for PreCheck, a background screening and credentialing firm. We work specifically with healthcare providers in the US to ensure the new hires and current employees that they either bring on or have are properly screened and vetted and maintain credentials.
What challenge were you trying to address with Liquid Technologies?
We were trying to address our aging client portal, which is the website portal we utilize for providing updates and information to our clients.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Liquid Technologies addressed for us the initial scoping review of the current site and what clients within the industry were expecting from a new technology perspective. They also provided wireframes and suggestions on how to better display information, innovate and modernize our displays, and interact with our clients through the website.
The team did provide the initial coding and structure for the details that were being used. They also gave recommendations and advice on languages and platforms that could or should be used to further modernize the service that we're looking to provide.
As far as coding languages go, we were looking at the sequel tie-ins for our database for displays. JavaScript, Angular, and React were the main ones that were discussed, along with a few others.
What is the team composition?
We worked directly with a team of about 4–6 people, and 2–3 individuals in particular, including the head of the company, Hadi (Founder). He was one of the main individuals on our calls. He helped guide his team and ensure the requests that we were making were translating into what was being proposed back.
Their chief architect was on all of our calls. We worked with him to ensure the calls with the developers went smoothly and to match and translate our requests into the design work. Then, there were 2–3 additional developers that we would interact with as well.
How did you come to work with Liquid Technologies?
Our VP of IT actually reached out within his channels. We put an RFP out for various firms to come in and do some of this analysis and design work. Liquid Technologies was one of those firms.
Based on the proposals and responses, we narrowed things down to four different companies that we engaged and had initial demonstrations with. Liquid Technologies won out that process because they were the most engaged. Heading into the first meeting, they did their homework and seemed to understand our industry, competitors, and the opportunities we would be looking for.
Most of the other companies were more focused on their own systems, creative process, and capabilities, which Liquid Technologies also addressed. However, the reason they won was they showed a much deeper insight into what we were looking for from the very beginning.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested somewhere between $30,000–$50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with them in June 2020, and they came back with their final proposals in September 2020. We’ve had 1–2 follow-up calls with questions, but the work was pretty much done.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We've done most of this type of work in-house throughout our company's history, and we've been able to maintain clients and provide services in a way that sets us as a chief competitor within our industry, if not the leader within health care for background screening.
In all of those efforts, this design work and creation typically ran around 18 months–2 years to complete everything. After Liquid Technologies' assistance, our go-live for our new site is in January. We went from 18 months in the best-case scenario to essentially 6–7 months.
We've cut the time in half, and we're delivering an exceptionally high-quality product. We're very excited about the proposals and the design work that they did. The team was also very professional and easy to work with.
We're still in the backend process of tying in all of our server and database information into the frame-up and creating the data tables and structures to support that. We haven't delivered to our customers yet, but the initial reactions that we've had from them have been outstanding.
They're very excited about the new look and feel, enhanced capabilities, and ease of access and navigation that the site provides. We've been very pleased with Liquid Technologies and the results so far.
How did Liquid Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
We used our own project manager for this project. However, from a deadline perspective, Liquid Technologies met deadlines pretty much every time I was aware of one. If they didn't, they communicated around that very well, and we're only within a day or two of delay.
Most of those delays were due to slight scope changes, suggestions, or requests that we brought them. There wasn’t necessarily anything wrong on their side. They were reacting to our requests, and they've delivered a product in half the time of what we're used to, so we're very pleased with their timing and their delivery.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I was most impressed by how quickly they were able to propose a design. After the initial product and customer mapping, they had initial proposals back within 1–2 weeks. Every time we’d throw in a change or want something considered, they had new designs and proposals back within a couple of days, which was amazing. That was lightning speed from my perspective, so we were very impressed.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There were 1–2 times where Liquid Technologies focused on aspects that we wanted to move away from. They were designing towards certain capabilities or workflow processes that we were working away from.
We may not have articulated that very well initially, but the team certainly reacted to it once we did. That would really be the only thing that could have been improved in the process. They could have spent less time on some workflows or intuit some of them that weren't as needed as the others in the beginning.

Web Design for Financial Advisory Platform
“They’re willing to take a bit of a risk to go beyond what’s asked of them. In our case, those risks paid off.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We’re a robo-advisory platform startup that’s looking to build out a personal financial advisory tool set. Although we’re located in the US, we’re planning on serving non-US markets, starting off in places like Pakistan before moving on to Bangladesh and India.
What challenge were you trying to address with Liquid Technologies?
I wanted to find a technology partner that could collaborate with us.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Liquid Technologies has worked on a few things with us, starting with designing and building out our full website. This included things like graphic design, user interfaces, and more. The entire conversation involved me giving them the concept of my company along with some websites that I liked. From there, they did everything else.
After the design phase, we went into implementation where they put up the site. They made sure that everything was set up securely and that it would load fast.
What is the team composition?
I worked with a three-person team, but I only interfaced with the project manager.
How did you come to work with Liquid Technologies?
I’d been searching for tech talent for a while, interviewing several dev shops around the world, before a friend recommended that I speak to Hadi (Founder). That first meeting was just so much better than anything else I’d seen so far.
What I liked about Hadi was that he instantly got what I was trying to build, which was quite a treat to have. He’s smart, is very sharp, and can instantly translate ideas into what the potential execution will look like. I really wanted to find a way to work with him, so we started off with this small project.
How much have you invested with them?
It was only about $3,000, but it’s one of those situations where we plan on allocating more dollars toward them for future projects. Our next arrangement will probably be in the range of $15,000–$20,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with them from July–August 2020. I’m planning on having them come on board to help us with some other stuff, later on.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We haven’t gone live with the website yet because we’re waiting on our licenses, but Liquid Technologies really went above and beyond the scope of work. Even though we’d only asked them to do a set of minimal things, they applied their creativity and came back with a better job than we’d hoped for.
There were a couple of situations where we’d shown them some generic-looking websites from our competitors to see how we’d want to distinguish our designs. The designs they produced explored the themes that we’d given them but, at the same time had a completely unique look.
For example, they started using a set of cartoon characters to explain some of our financial concepts. That wasn’t in the brief at all, but we were absolutely delighted by it. Using characters was actually something that we’d planned for later, but they came up with it on their own simply through their creativity.
How did Liquid Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?
They mostly met deadlines, though there were a few cases where we needed to extend the schedule. During those times, they were good about communicating ahead of time (around 24–72 hours beforehand), explaining why there was a delay, and then giving us a new deadline. We paid a flat fee, so they didn’t charge extra for those extensions.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re willing to take a bit of a risk to go beyond what’s asked of them. In our case, those risks paid off, so we were very happy about that.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The cost of the project was a little higher than some of the other quotes we’d seen. But, aside from that, I don’t have any critiques.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They respond very well to detailed conversations, not just a written brief. Walk their team through the things that you want to look at, and they’ll deliver a really good job.

I'm the CEO of BusyPeople LLC, an app that teaches users Arabic.
What challenge were you trying to address with Liquid Technologies, Inc.?
We engaged Liquid Technologies to work on the development of our app for iOS and Android devices. We previously worked with a different developer, but they had scalability, transparency, and communication issues. We were looking for a firm with better quality assurance processes.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Liquid Technologies improved our code base on the original app, making it more user-friendly and functional. They connected the app to our mail provider, stabilized features, and have done other maintenance and restructuring work on the backend as needed. They've also started working on another app for us from scratch.
What is the team composition?
We work with the CEO, a project manager, and two developers, including an iOS and Android developer.
How did you come to work with Liquid Technologies, Inc.?
They were recommended by my brother, who personally knows the CEO.
How much have you invested with them?
We've spent about $25,000 thus far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We've been working with them since May 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Liquid Technologies has significantly improved our original app and continues to provide high-quality code on new projects.

They're very transparent about their processes and have been great about ensuring the quality of deliverables. They're responsive on all channels of communication, including Slack, Trello, and email and flexible to any changes in the scope of work.
