What challenge were you trying to address with Lightpoint?

We were trying to scale development capabilities with people who overlap in time-zones and had a deep skill set.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They built e-commerce capabilities into an existing platform using a mix of Node.js and .NET platform technology. Using AngularJS, their team created tools for customers and in-house administrators, which allows them to configure, report and manage our applications. Lightpoint built data-tracking technology for us to capture visitor behavior. They continue to work on site enhancements.

What is the team composition?

We primarily communicate with a project manager, but there were a few dozen team members who work on the technology, development and QA automation.

How did you come to work with Lightpoint?

Lightpoint was recommended to us by an associate. We were pleased with the results of the pilot project we gave them and decided to expand the collaboration.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began collaborating in April 2015, and it’s ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Clients have given positive feedback on the performance of the product. The administrative features have improved efficiency and productivity with our internal team. The team completely refactored our internal capabilities to be more robust and flexible. Their data-tracking technology informs our workflows.

How did Lightpoint perform from a project management standpoint?

We use Team Foundation Servers (TFS) to manage all of the tasks and TSheets to track the project and resources used. They manage their team effectively.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They demonstrate a high level of professionalism and take pride in their work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s always room for improvement. Continued investment in skill sets and multi-language communication would be what I expect from them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Communicate the objectives and expectations clearly. It’s important to have strong in-house project managers capable of collaboration.

To accommodate a growing client base and reduce human error, we needed to automate many of our manual businesses processes, such as recording multiple client applications, tracking application progress and statuses, sending status notifications and expiring license reminders, invoicing clients, calculating our in-house costs, and engaging new leads with a letter customized to their behavior patterns. We did not have in-house developers, so we hired Lightpoint to implement top-notch CRM.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to enhance the productivity and capacity of our sales and marketing department through the implementation of Salesforce, which would help us manage all leads, clients, and orders. Ultimately, we sought to increase revenue.

How did you select this vendor?

My company searched for vendors on Upwork. After interviewing several Salesforce developers, we hired Lightpoint; they demonstrated a thorough knowledge of Salesforce and provided valuable advice. Their professional attitude also met our expectations.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

Lightpoint automated our workflows so that we can track every stage of an application process, monitor a license’s status, and provide customers with auto-reminders and notifications. They integrated Salesforce with DocuSign API, allowing clients to sign documents online rather than having to travel to our office.

The Lightpoint team implemented in-house expense calculators and invoice automation. They also developed comprehensive reporting tools and dashboards that enable internal users to track metrics, indicators, and problems. Finally, they improved the UI using Lightning Web Components.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Although our Salesforce platform has only been active for a month, we have already experienced increased profits and conversion rates. Access to key metrics and performance indicators enables managers to outline problems and solutions, which has dramatically increased the sales and marketing team’s productivity.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

The team is agile and always available to answer questions, even outside of regular business hours. We had daily meetings and weekly demos. They delivered expert advice in a responsive and friendly manner, and we tracked project tasks through our in-house system. Their work corresponded to the original number of hours we decided on.

The Lightpoint project manager and developers were responsive and punctual. I have often found developers to be reserved and lacking creativity, but Lightpoint was engaging and eager to share their insights and experience.

It was a lengthy, challenging process, but one of my colleagues in the local IT community recommended lightpoint to me. Their record as a Salesforce development vendor was bulletproof.

lightpoint migrated our client’s data from their previous CRM and harnessed the power of Salesforce for their sales department. They also discussed end-user needs and opportunities to build our client’s vision and business processes. lightpoint introduced email and process automation and expanded reporting features.

We worked with a project manager, two Salesforce developers, an administrator, and a QA engineer.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Our business is all about recurrent clients, and lighpoint’s work built our client’s confidence in us. They’ve even signed on for another project. Thanks to the new CRM, our client has seen a 15% drop in churn rate. This is evidence of the customer logic lightpoint built into their business processes. No data was lost during the migration, and increased reporting has helped our client see their growth points more clearly.

They’re perfectly organized and self-motivated. I’m a pretty demanding client, but lightpoint exceeded my expectations. They logged all our interactions and maintained our approvals.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They’re self-starters, so there was no need to push them. We had regular meetings and retrospectives to determine our scope and ensure we were on track with our budget and timeline. Though they’re pragmatic and capable of working in a changing environment, they don’t blindly accept changes.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I wish they could provide me with a business analyst on their side, but that’s just a recommendation, not a complaint.
