Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the CEO of a nationwide experiential and retail temp staffing firm. We work in all areas where a brand meets face to face with their customers - trade shows, mobile tours, retail, experiential activations. Our field employees manage everything from sales to engagement to tour management.
For what projects/services did your company hire Liger Partners?
I took the company over in 2019. Liger helped us to completely re-position the brand, update our digital efforts (web, content, social media, paid ads) and create the narrative that helped us enter into a new market.
What were your goals for this project?
The company was commoditized. We needed to change the narrative to tell the story of our depth of experience, ability to manage large projects, and overall value.
How did you select Liger Partners?
I have worked with Liger Partners for several years in multiple ways. Liger has been a partner and a client and now a provider. They were really a no-brainer for me.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
Liger began their work with us with an in-depth strategy session. They rebranded the company and developed comprehensive brand guidelines. Liger built out all of the assets for our new strategy including - website, presentations, templates, updated case studies, and the like. Then they began to develop content and the social media outreach that matched the new narrative. Liger also managed the back end of our digital channel including SEO and paid ads.
What was the team composition?
Liger was led by Eric Holtzclaw as a strategist. Eric was supported by a content developer, a back-end development team, an account director, and a graphic designer. I imagine that I'm not aware of all of the people in the organization who supported our efforts.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We closed two major deals shortly after completing the rebranding. I believe it had everything to do with how Liger helped us tell our story.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Liger is super responsive. They also are great at project management. I juggle many things in my role and I appreciated that their team kept us on track and moving forward.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Liger makes a concerted effort to become part of our team.
Are there any areas for improvement?
I would love to see them grow enough to assume other parts of our outreach like lead gen. I would reduce my number of vendors to work with Liger as more of a partner.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am a VP at a Surplus Lines Insurance Brokerage firm
For what projects/services did your company hire Liger Partners?
We hired Liger to develop an overall marketing strategy for us. This included re-branding, a new logo, coming up with marketing content, email blasts, social media, re-building our website, and addressing Section 508 issues.
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted our marketing strategy to match our company. Our prior marketing efforts did not convey our professionalism or expertise. We have this exceptional reputation for being the best insurance brokers in New England. We needed Liger's help to market that reputation into the world.
How did you select Liger Partners?
We were recently acquired. Our corporate parent introduced us to Liger. Some of our sister companies had already been working with Liger and expressed their satisfaction as well.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
First Liger set up a few "discovery" meetings with us to identify who we were and the message that we wanted to convey. From, there, it was a very natural team approach to develop an overall marketing strategy. Liger educated us in new marketing techniques.
They helped us find our voice by providing supporting tactics. This included development of content, outbound campaigns (which we formerly called email blasts), and social media support. In addition, they worked with us through a re-branding after a big acquisition.
Most recently, they gave our website a facelift and addressed Section 508 issues.
What was the team composition?
We have had 6 dedicated forward-facing Liger team members, collaborating with 7 executives on our side. Each team has a point person so things are always organized and projects keep moving on task.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Since beginning our work with Liger, we have received very positive feedback from our clients! We are relevant on social media. We have interesting content, as evidenced by higher traffic driven to our website, our Blog, our Newsletter, etc. We have seen an uptick in new business submissions as well.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow has been natural & seamless.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Liger is innovative and collaborative, but never pushy. They have educated us and opened our eyes into today's style of marketing.
Are there any areas for improvement?
We are continuing to improve our communication with Liger, and they are responding accordingly.

Brand Consolidation for Insurance Wholesaler
“They’ve certainly exceeded everyone’s expectations at every turn.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I oversee sales and marketing for an insurance wholesaler. We were acquired by a larger organization that serves as the parent company of 10 insurance wholesaler brands. My job has evolved to overseeing marketing and branding for our parent company as well.
What challenge were you trying to address with Liger Partners?
Initially, we needed help with branding our parent company.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Our parent company has never been a brand in the marketplace; they’ve always been a holding company. Now, we’re beginning to consolidate some of our sub brands and move them over to the parent company’s name. We’re building brand awareness for the parent brand while consolidating brands that have been in the marketplace for 30–50 years.
For our latest project, we started with a strategy session and discussed who we want to be. Liger Partners was instrumental in leading that discovery process. There was a lot of thoughtful work that went into the brand voice and design.
They helped us launch a new logo and establish a brand architecture for the 10 companies that exist under our parent company’s purview. They also create new branding, new taglines, and they’re finalizing a new ad campaign.
The team does a lot of project management for us to make sure the sub brand websites map over to the parent company. They’ve done a lot of web architecture to make sure that customers can find what they’re looking for on the new site. They also handle our social media, website, blog, design, and ads.
What is the team composition?
I work with Cynthia (Partner & Director of Client Services), Craig (Director, Creative Strategy), Eric (Chief Visionary Officer), and Whitney (Managing Partner).
How did you come to work with Liger Partners?
When I was exclusively working for my company, which is now a sub brand of our parent company, our president was part of a networking group for CEOs. Eric was presenting at that group and said the right things at the right time. It was serendipitous.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent well over $1 million.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in May 2018, and our work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They’ve exceeded everyone’s expectations at every turn with the outcome of our new brand. The adoption of the new brand has been very well received, which is a big deal coming from original founders and CEOs that have had to drop the branding they’ve been using for years to support the one Liger brought to the table.
How did Liger Partners perform from a project management standpoint?
Cynthia never makes me feel like a burden. I would hire her if she weren’t a partner at Liger. Their team goes above and beyond. With the work that I’m doing, I should have a team of 10 people doing it with me.
It’s so great that they keep me on track. They know every single thing that needs to be done to get the rebrand done. We have a weekly call and they always send an agenda to us in advance with what they need from everyone. Everything is done via Slack, which makes things very easy.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The overall brand strategy that Eric brings to the table is impressive. He has such a unique way of seeing things at a 30,000-foot vantage point and bringing all the moving pieces together in a meaningful way. If I could have anyone’s brain, it would be Eric’s.
He’s extremely impressive with his ability to strategize, especially when it comes to this rebrand project. Because his background is so diversified on the strategy and operations sides, he brings a lot of spot-on recommendations to the table.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they’re like family at this point. If anything came up, they’d be the first to know. If there was ever a case where I thought something wasn’t up to par, it’s a “stop, drop, and fix” situation. No deliverable is perfect and Liger Partners is always willing to take feedback thoughtfully.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice is to be up front with your expectations. I let them know from the start that I wanted honest feedback from them. If I come to them with a bad idea, I want them to say “Respectfully, that’s not a good idea and here’s why”. I don’t want a “yes man” partnership. Our relationship has been one of trust, respect, and openness. Let Liger know how you want them to be part of your business.
