A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO and head of product at an SEO software firm.
What challenge were you trying to address with LeverageUX Design Agency?
We needed help with a product design.
What was the scope of their involvement?
LeverageUX helped me redesign a new SaaS product. The team worked on UX and UI design and took a look a look at our competitors’ products to build the best product in our space.
They’re also working on a new product launch and our marketing site. They’ll be working on future product releases as well.
What is the team composition?
We worked with Ana (UX Strategist), Anton (Co-Founder), and Roman (CEO).
How much have you invested with them?
We spend $10,000 per month.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2021, and our work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve been extremely satisfied. I’ve worked with a lot of design vendors and LeverageUX is the best by far. They really knocked it out of the park. The users are happy, too. When we brought user feedback to the table, LeverageUX helped us improve even more. They really feel like a design partner instead of a vendor. They’ve been phenomenal to work with.
How did LeverageUX Design Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
We used Figma for project management. They’re incredible at meeting deadlines. I came to them with a short, 3-week deadline and they delivered. We set up a Slack channel, where we message in every day. They’re super responsive.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The team worked weekends and put in extra hours to go above and beyond my expectations.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they’ve been fantastic.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice is to have clear communication early on about what you want. We came to them with a poorly defined project scope and they helped us nail down the scope. You can come to them with a vague, half-baked idea and help you turn it into a real project.

Email Campaign Process Design for Email Automation Company

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the VP of customer success and marketing at a cloud-based marketing and email automation company.
What challenge were you trying to address with LeverageUX Design Agency?
We needed help with UX and design within some features of our product.
What was the scope of their involvement?
LeverageUX put together a few different designs to improve our process when executing email campaigns. We had previously had this feature in a one-page process where a user takes several steps to put together an email campaign.
They broke down the process into 3–4 different steps. They designed a new process with a new look and feel for this project feature. The team delivered the design and we were able to provide feedback. After making our edits, they delivered the final design to us.
What is the team composition?
We worked with a project manager, a designer, and two of their partners.
How did you come to work with LeverageUX Design Agency?
Initially, I found them through Upwork. We found a number of qualified agencies and vendors that we felt were a good fit for the project. We decided to move forward with LeverageUX based on their experience working with FinTech companies. They also had the experience we were looking for in terms of reporting and report visualization.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent approximately $5,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project took two months. We started working together in September 2020, and we wrapped up in November 2020. We’ve recently asked them to submit a proposal on a new project we’re working on.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We were happy with the final deliverable as well as the way they managed the project. They did especially well compared to other design agencies we worked with them in the past.
How did LeverageUX Design Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
They did a good job at staying on top of the project. They assigned a project manager who kept track of the deliverables and scope of work as well as the timeline.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We’re happy with the project, which is why we’ve engaged them to work on another project.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, they met the expectations we required for the project. We were a bit slow to respond on a couple of occasions because of other work on our end. Overall, it was a job well done.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice is to be as clear as possible on work requirements and project scope so that expectations are clear on both sides.

UI/UX Design & Wireframes for Healthcare Startup

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a physician and an entrepreneur working on a healthcare startup.
What challenge were you trying to address with LeverageUX Design Agency?
I needed UI/UX designs for my company.
What was the scope of their involvement?
LeverageUX developed about 25 wireframes for us for UX designs. They basically delivered a prototype. Their team designed graphics based on my requirements
How did you come to work with LeverageUX Design Agency?
I found them on Upwork and reached out to them. After I learned about them and trusted them, I brought LeverageUX onto this project.
How much have you invested with them?
I spent around $12,000 on this project.
What is the status of this engagement?
I started working with them around September 2020, and LeverageUX finished the project around January 2021. I told them to keep the lines open because I intend to reach out to them for more help in the future.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I was satisfied with their service. LeverageUX was precise and task-oriented. It’s not easy for outside teams to navigate and adjust to startups’ needs. However, their team did a great job adapting to my requirements. They were also creative.
How did LeverageUX Design Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
LeverageUX made it easy for us to work through this process. It was an agile and clear process. I could reach out to anyone on their team at any time of the day. They always communicated with me, which was important because their team knew exactly what I wanted.
What did you find most impressive about them?
LeverageUX was excellent, and I would use their services again. If I were to rate them on a scale of 1–10, I would give them a 10.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t hold anything against them but would encourage them to be more open. If they don’t understand a client’s requirement, they should ask for the client to elaborate rather than assume the solution. That happened in the beginning, but their team caught up well.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Know what you want and stick to it. LeverageUX needs enough information to help you find the right solution. It’s important that you’re active in the solution.

UI/UX Design for Financial Services Company
"Working with LeverageUX was really enjoyable."

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the general manager of SelfWealth. Our company is an online trading platform that individuals can use to invest in the stock market.
What challenge were you trying to address with LeverageUX Design Agency?
We had a mobile app, but it was quite outdated in terms of functionalities and features, as well as the actual look and feel of it. We were looking to get someone to help us completely redesign the mobile experience, starting from scratch.
What was the scope of their involvement?
There wasn’t a lot of planning on our side when we went into the project. When we initially spoke with LeverageUX, there was a bit of back and forth while they worked to understand our business, our platform, our user flows, our goals, and other key information for the project.
Then, the team went through our competitors and their apps, documenting the flows and screens they used to understand how others did. We also prioritized a lot of objectives into user goals versus commercial goals. From there, we started coming up with major pages and refining them from a look and feel perspective to come up with a loose template for the rest of the app.
We went straight into high-fi mockups rather than creating wireframes because of the urgency of the project. Once the designs were complete, we started bringing the developers on board.
What is the team composition?
We worked with Roman (Founder & CEO), who was involved from the start to help us understand scope and project kickoff. We then had two main people, Ana (Business Analyst & UX Strategist) who is a UI expert herself but also our project manager, and Pavel (UX/UI Designer & FinTech Expert).
How did you come to work with LeverageUX Design Agency?
The key thing for us was being able to communicate with them easily. We also looked at all the work they’d done. LeverageUX specializes in FinTech and financial-related products, which was a leg up on their competitors. They were also cost-competitive.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent between $50,000–$200,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from August–December 2020. If there’s any changes we need to do, we’ll go to them.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We haven’t launched the app yet, so we don’t know what the larger impact will be. Anecdotally, we’ve really enjoyed working with them. LeverageUX understood the details of the project, and the communication was good — we didn’t have to go back and forth two or three times to fix designs. For the most part, they got it right the first time.
The natural ability of their team was great. They really understood what we were asking for, and the quality of their work was great. Working with LeverageUX was really enjoyable.
How did LeverageUX Design Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
Their communication was excellent. We got regular, detailed updates on where they were during the project. We had a bit of a time difference, so we would usually catch up once per day in the intense periods. Other than that, it was two or three times a week.
The team met deadlines well and was able to turn things around for the developers pretty quickly.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We were impressed with their ability to understand our goals, the landscape, and our competitors. They created our designs right. We didn’t have to waste a lot of time educating them about the industry, and overall, they were very conscious of time spent.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There’s nothing that comes to mind.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Treat them well and be honest with them, and you can build a business relationship that will be enjoyable for both parties.

UI/UX Audit for Fintech Startup
"We’re very happy with them."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
tradEAsy is a Fintech startup, and I am the CEO. We have developed a platform to help retail traders to improve their trading rules with our technology.
What challenge were you trying to address with LeverageUX Design Agency?
We had an MVP solution, but we didn’t have any expertise in UI and UX. Our challenge was to make the current platform easier for our users.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We created a trading builder where users can create their trading rules to set up when the trading order has to be opened or when it has to be closed. They can define that on the first screen and on the second screen, they can validate their trading rules to make a simulation of their strategies that have been previously defined.
At the end of the platform, they can activate their trading strategies to operate automatically. For us, the usability and user experience were really important to us because we want to create an easy solution for retail traders who have never traded automatically before.
What is the team composition?
We work with several people from the team. There are two people that we are mostly in contact with including the project manager Anastasiia (Business Analyst & UX Strategist) and Denis (UI/UX Designer). Anastasiia has had the most time dedicated to the project and we have also worked with several other people including Roman (Founder) and Anton (Co-Founder). We worked with them more at the beginning to define the project and also in the middle of the project to make some clarifications.
How did you come to work with LeverageUX Design Agency?
One of the founders wrote me a private message on LinkedIn. They sent me a PDF with information related to UX which I found to be interesting. At that moment, we didn’t have the budget to start the project. After a few months, we got in touch.
We spoke to them about how they work, and they showed us their previous work. They provided us with an estimation. Before we decided to work with them, we did an analysis. They wanted to have a demo with our platform to understand how it works, and then we had another meeting to discuss our requirements. We decided to hire them because they specialize in Fintech, and also because of their previous work. We felt it would be a perfect fit to work with them.
How much have you invested in them?
The project cost was around €7,500 (approximately $9,000 USD).
I am happy with that because I was worried as we had an estimation between $7,500 and $10,000. I thought the cost would be higher but in the end, they finished the project on time and within my budget.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project started at the beginning of the last quarter of 2020. We have finished the project, but we will continue working on features in 2021.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We haven’t had real feedback related to their solution yet, but we have some customers that have been using our other version. We’ve also shared screenshots of Leverage UX’s work, and the feedback is very good. They are waiting for the new version, but we are still working on some development.
How did LeverageUX Design Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
Regarding deadlines, they are very good. We decided that we needed it before the end of the year. It might be our fault because we didn’t have some specific things, so they had to do some extra work and put in extra time, but even in that case, they always delivered on time according to our deadlines.
We have a Slack channel with them, and it is very helpful because the whole team is available to make any comments.
What did you find most impressive about them?
This is the first UX company we have worked with, so we don’t have any comparison as we only know Leverage. We’re very happy with them.
They work in an agile methodology and sprints, and at the beginning, I was a bit worried because the durations weren’t clearly related to the progress of the project, but I think it was a very nice idea to manage the project in that way.
At the end of each sprint, they provided us with their solutions, and we saw the results. We provided them with feedback, and they considered all of that during the sprints. If they had to do something extra related to the changes, it wasn’t included in the requirements, but I think it worked out very well.
If we didn’t have those checkpoints and sprints, we would have had to wait, and they might have spent a lot of time working on something that might not be correct. It was great to see the progress of the project and provide feedback during the sprints. It was awesome for us.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I had some troubles regarding the delivery of the project because they work on Figma and for us, it was the first time we worked with that. Any problems were maybe our fault because we didn’t know anything about UX. We had some trouble with the exporting of the code because we wanted a solution that was really easy to do the development on the frontend. I think there was a bit of confusion relating to that, but I understand they did the design on the screens. I expected to have an end solution that was more plug and play.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
With LeverageUX or any company, provide them with clear requirements at the beginning of the project. If there is something that you don’t like, it is better to tell them as soon as possible because if you don’t, they might have to put in extra time and that is something that can affect the price. Once they have a checkpoint at the end of each sprint, you should dedicate some time to ensure that your feedback is given, and let them know the final decision whether you agree or disagree with it.

UI/UX Design for B2B Tax Compliance SaaS Company

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a B2B SaaS company for tax compliance.
What challenge were you trying to address with LeverageUX?
We needed to redesign our software. The first version was very gritty.
What was the scope of their involvement?
LeverageUX provided wireframes and redesigned the entire software platform using Figma. They designed every screen and every feature, including the buttons and colors.
What is the team composition?
We worked with four teammates.
How did you come to work with LeverageUX?
I found them through Upwork. I initially went with them because of their response time. They got back to me right away and followed up, so I didn’t have to hunt them down as with other service providers. They also had a really good portfolio. The screens they used to show the work they had done were really nice.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent between $2,000–$8,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
I worked with them from September–October 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I was really happy with the color scheme they chose. They really listened to me. When I didn’t like something or thought something could be done better, they did as I asked. LeverageUX didn’t understand American tax or what I was building, but they were able to interpret the end goal really well. Overall it looks and flows great.
How didLeverageUX perform from a project management standpoint?
It was really good. They were in another country so the timing was difficult, but LeverageUX made it work.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What distinguishes them is their ability to work around limited time budgets. I gave them two weeks to get it done and they did. LeverageUX never said they couldn’t do it or that they’d try; they just got it done.
They even brought in more hands and triple-checked everything. They implemented everything screen by screen and constantly asked for feedback. The team was very involved, which I really liked.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Timing is hard because they’re not in the US, which is something they can’t control. It would’ve been nice to get an answer right away, but usually, they weren’t available during the day. LeverageUX worked around it.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Have a clear idea of what you want and of the timing so that LeverageUX can move within your expectations. They’re very responsive when you know what you want.

I’m the VP of products for a SaaS solution company.
What challenge were you trying to address with LeverageUX Design Agency?
We didn’t have a UI/UX team and decided to outsource.
What was the scope of their involvement?
LeverageUX helped our team understand where wanted to go with design and revamp our UX. They built the mockups for us. The core of their services is a web page that has a lot of filters and options. We use Figma.
What is the team composition?
Initially, I was in touch with Anton (Co-founder). Then, I mainly interacted with their project manager. We weren’t really in contact with the designers on the backend.
How did you come to work with LeverageUX Design Agency?
We posted a job on Upwork. We interviewed 5–6 companies, and LeverageUX seemed like a good fit.
How much have you invested with them?
My company spent $6,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in July 2020. Our marketing team is now in touch with them for the website design.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
It was good — I have no complaints.
How did LeverageUX Design Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
Project management was good. We communicated via Slack and Zoom, and we were in constant contact. We have a good relationship.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have an understanding of what we do.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We were undecided on what we wanted. Even though communication was really good and happened on a daily basis, some sort of framework would have been better.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be clear about design choices and approaches when getting started. You can’t expect them to know what it is that you want.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO and founder of Hypersurfaces. We’re an AI startup based in London that develops software and hardware. We have about 12 people on the team.
What challenge were you trying to address with LeverageUX Design Agency?
We wanted to completely redesign our web platform, focusing on the UX rather than the UI. We needed product designers, students, and people unfamiliar with AI to be able to use our complex AI algorithm.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We provided sketches for five screens and shared our ideas for each screen’s functionalities. LeverageUX redesigned each of our working prototype’s screens and the navigations between them. They also provided a pixel-accurate design for us to implement using Figma.
What is the team composition?
We worked with one designer and one project manager.
How did you come to work with LeverageUX Design Agency?
I found them online via a portal for UX designers.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started the project in July 2020, and it was completed in August.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
As we asked of them, their team didn’t focus on fancy graphics; the design’s simple. They accepted our brief, which was the basis of their work. If we proposed ideas that they didn’t think were right, their team told us, which I appreciated.
How did LeverageUX Design Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
LeverageUX used sprints and coordinated the project well. In the beginning, they assigned us a project manager who went on holiday. We then received a new project who was also good. The handover wasn’t perfect, so we had to repeat a few things. However, she quickly picked up the project.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their team was quick and touched base every day. I haven’t worked with many designers for comparison. However, I enjoyed working with LeverageUX. The ratio between the project’s cost and the quality of their work was great.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, the engagement went well. We spent time at the beginning of the project to decide what was and wasn’t in the scope of work. The process was fair, but I wanted to just complete the work. However, they produced great designs.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Go ahead and work with them because they’re really good.
LeverageUX Design Agency delivered a superb design in just three weeks. Their client is extremely satisfied. The team is able to take in user feedback to make their product designs even stronger. LeverageUX is a responsive vendor that’s able to help their clients clearly define a scope of work.
