I’m the digital project manager for Everbrave Branding Group, and we’re a digital marketing agency that focuses on growth and client retention.

What challenge were you trying to address with Lengin?

Since we’re a digital marketing agency, we mainly develop on existing platforms such as HubSpot and WordPress. In doing that, we have to find the right balance between using marketing benefits that come from these existing platforms for tracking, and auditing performance. Lengin has given us real value in supporting our development efforts.

Our partnership with them varies from project to project. Oftentimes we create technical briefs that outline the full scope of the effort and deliverables, which can get as granular as those high-level elements and transitional effects. We usually provide the brief in a word document where they will then go through each item’s deliverable, to ascertain the total scope of the project.

Once that’s done, we determine the budget, make adaptations of the work if necessary, and establish a schedule to see what the production pipeline is going to look like in terms of timing.

In a web capacity, we’ll run discovery sessions with the client to know their challenges, goals, and figure out how we’re going to the finish line. After that, we’ll run an SEO program to identify what nomenclature and keyword strings are being used by their target audience, and if we’re building the website’s information architecture accurately to what people are searching online.

Basically, Lengin acts as our full-service web development agency. They create the content plan, outline and build the wireframes, and provide us with a high-fidelity design phase.

We usually work with three people, and they’re made up of frontend and Full Stack developers.

They had been identified as a viable option for web development before my time at Everbrave. They shortlisted a number of possible options and met with all of them to go over their workflow and approaches to development. Lengin proved to be top-notch so they started using them.

We’ve probably spent somewhere between $50,000–$100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our company has been working with them since December 2019, and the partnership is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I run a comprehensive QA review at the end of each project, and there are always going to be some minor tweaks and fixes that we need to make, based on the variety of devices and browser requirements. However, at the end of the day, everything loads really well from a pure development perspective. There are also never any functional issues and everything is accurately replicated in a development format.

Additionally, there’s the overall delivery where everything’s integrated really well with whatever CMS platform we’re using. When we consider all that, Lengin just hits their mark every time, and that’s why we continue to work with them.

How did Lengin perform from a project management standpoint?

They always hit their deadlines, and if there are any delays to the project, it’s usually because of the client’s inability to meet their deadlines on reviews and approvals. On rare occasions, I see them exceeding the budget whenever the client grows the scope and decides to add extra features, so that’s always understandable.

Furthermore, their team is also transparent and diligent in establishing tracking details. We have a really nice congruency between what my expectations are and what their deliverables are, and I attribute that to the fact that they’re excellent at managing the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re very impressed with the quality of the end product that makes everything run smoothly on our end, and it’s what allows us to retain our clients.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think they do. Given the framework in which we operate within, I think that they’re always really diligent.

I would advise them to set Lengin up for success. Make sure that they have everything they need and that the project scope is well understood. If they do that, Lengin is going to hit the mark every time.

Devlight is a service company that develops various digital products for businesses. Our team comprises more than 50 people united under the idea of being inspired by innovation and technological challenge. I am founder and CEO at Devlight.

Lengin was hired to develop a new design for our corporate website. It includes the convertation of design into front end (HTML, CSS, Javascript) and integration with CMS Wordpress (PHP). The main goal was to launch a new website as soon as possible and keep high quality. In addition, be able to manage all content of the website and be completely independent of development.

Our team has developed a high-quality design that includes adaptation to various devices. In addition, the design involved complex animations and other types of interaction with users. They perfectly transformed the design of 10 pages to the front end, using HTML, CSS, JS. It looked 1:1 according to the design for all screens.

They developed all the necessary animations, as expected, and even offered a few more. Also, part of the project was to integrate the front end with the CMS Wordpress. Lengin did a great job. We had the opportunity to change all the information from admin panel. Reuse an already developed design to build new pages. They provided an opportunity to work with SEO and consulted in this direction.

We used an iterative development method. The project was divided into 4 steps and planned strict completion dates. Project management was at a high level. Each iteration was completed on time. The things that need to be provided on our part were required in advance. The result and progress were reflected in weekly status letters, which allowed to maintain transparency for all persons involved.

Lengin understands expectations at a deep level and delivers them! They build a transparent process of cooperation that inspires trust. Also, impressive is their wish to excellence.

There is always room for improvement. We believe that within our project they were excellent at all stages.

I’m the owner of a marketing agency that specializes in making web apps to help real estate projects sell their products.

We needed someone to help us develop a web app.

Lengin developed a web app that can connect to our CMS, so users can make changes or modify their site’s visuals. We provided the UI/UX aspect while they did everything from scratch and focused solely on custom coding. Currently, I’m still working with the team as I have for two and a half years, because some of the projects I have with them are still ongoing.

Their coding and programming are really high-quality and well-written — they’re easy to read, which is why I really like working with them. I would say the hardest part in this partnership, is dealing with the delays of the projects, because they’re really far from us. However, I’m willing to endure all that, especially with the level of quality of the work we’re getting from them.

How did Lengin perform from a project management standpoint?

We mostly communicate through Skype and we have meetings every three days or so. We also use Trello to check on the jobs, look at bugs, or add new features.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We like the fact that they’re always there to help us with anything — whether it’s a new job of adding a new feature, or fixing something that’s not working. Additionally, they do a good job of pricing the work for me. If I want to add more features, they’re going to let me know how much exactly it’s going to cost, and they’ll give me a reduced price.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would say they should improve the way they manage their timelines. It would be easier for me if I know that they’re going to be working on a job on Monday, and expect the output on Tuesday.

I would say that if you’re going to work with Lengin, you must first know who your customers are, and what they’re looking for. It’s not their job to know what your customers want, so make sure you do and relay the information to the team, so they can do something with it.

We work in Jira, and the developer always covers planned sprints and his tasks. He does great code review for team members and much more…

Project management by Taras is extremely professional and efficient. Taras takes full ownership of his tasks and is genuinely interested in providing the best solutions for his clients. He often intervenes with useful suggestions, he keeps in mind the big picture and the business perspective, while delivering very high quality implementation of tasks.

I particularly appreciate that he always respects his clients final words on decisions, but at the same time he is willing to contribute a lot of sensible advice and suggestions. In this sense, Lengin largely exceeded our expectations. There was a high level of communication, quick understanding of deliverables, and they’re great out of the box thinkers. They were very proactive and always provided different ideas and options on how ideas can be implemented. They converted a new front end design for roughly 30 pages; producing new styles for all types of data, information and inputs. The deliverables work well on all devices and screens.

Design had bunch of different animations. Lengin implemented them exactly as it was requested. In our company we're using HubSpot. Developers integrated it in website. We have chance to place different forms and buttons. They know how to adapt it with your custom design, even how to customize functionality. One of the challenges Lengin solved on high level was to implement Calculator builder. They developed for us opportunity make our custom calculator with adding any amount of questions, functions between questions like: sum, multiplication, kind of input (selection, multi checkboxes), specific logic - if you choose variant B then we skip next question and many other functions to build our custom calculators by ourself.

We have not launched our site yet because we have been developing an E-book that should coincide with the launch of the site. During active phase of development, we divide pages on weekly sprints and make it very similar to Agile scrum methodology. I think it was the best way, as we made regular review, testing and be sure that we’re on track.

They have processes in place to tackle the work in the most efficient manner. They also kept the lines of communication open with weekly meetings. Lastly, they helped troubleshoot any issues that arose and often went above and beyond to add value outside of their contracted services.
