Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the Founder & CEO of a small but growing cookie company in the natural snack space.
For what projects/services did your company hire Lemonlight, and what were your goals?
Lemonlight had done my original website when I started my company in 2018. I recently added a new product line and wanted to update the site and add a short video. I've always had great feedback on the original website and was familiar with the quality of their videos. I wanted the updated site to up the ante and show how we had grown. I felt a Lemonlight video would do that.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Previously worked with them on original site. See previous comments.
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.
It's a 30-sec spot featuring the three cookie flavors, showcased with their prime ingredients and packaging, sharp-cut edited to upbeat swing music. We did a still photo shoot at the same time which was needed for the website update. I chose the shoot location which was my cousin's designer kitchen. The shot schedule was reviewed a few days prior to the shoot. Post-shoot, the first rough cut of the film was ready about three weeks later. We did a second cut about three weeks after that , a final tweak and it was ready.
Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?
I worked years ago with Steve Gaita and Jorge Alvarez Altadill the first time around on the website. Jorge again worked on my website. Initial contact this time on the video was with Elizabeth Marlow, Lemonlight's Creative Producer, who had me fill out an extensive questionaire for the goals and expectations for the video. Then Producer Natalie DeVito got involved and we went over specifics, including the team for the day. Besides the video crew and still photographer, I opted for a set designer/food stylist and am very glad I did. Prior to the actual shoot, Natalie and I reviewed the shots schedule and other aspects of the production. She was very professional, thorough and responded well to all my suggestions throughtout the entire process, including the editing process where I was very specific about what I wanted. I didn't like the music or the initial edit which Natalie agreed wasn't a good fit for what we were going for. While they were looking for something else, I made my own music suggestion which they seemed to like too (at least they said they did!), so we went with that. The next cut of the video to the music I had suggested was exactly what I had hoped the video would be. It needed very few tweaks for the final edit. The editor was great.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We're using the video on the website and on the Amazon listings. It seems to be getting a great response. Many people are commenting what fun it is - which was the point. It wasn't intended to be educational or informative but to give the cookies/snacks a light-hearted persona. It seems to be accomplishing that.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
I've worked with Steve and Jorge and Lemonlight over several years and two projects now. The quality of their work speaks for itself and they are a pleasure to deal with on a personal level. Everyone else I have worked with there has also always been professional and great to work with too. I have had -0- problems. I will definitely return to Lemonlight in the future.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Everyone is personally very nice but the quality of their work is really exceptional.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Nope. This is a satisfied customer.

Property management for short line railroads - CEO
For what projects/services did your company hire Lemonlight, and what were your goals?
We wanted a short video to show a lighter side of a serious matter which in utilities encroaching on a railroad's property. Our goal is to attract clients with a short video that explains what we do and drive potential clients to our booth at conventions and social media sites.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I received an email, the time to finalization and cost decided it for me.
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.
We started with the initial talk on what we were looking for and what we do. Then I chose the type, animation. We then had a few story board and appearance meetings vis emailed link. It was just fine tuning the animated version after that point.
Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?
I worked with Trent Bruce and it was a good back and forth through the process.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
I showed it at my latest conference and people seemed to like it a lot. So overall a success. People stayed at the booth longer than they normally would to see the video.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
The project went smoothly from start to finish. I had a short timeframe that I needed the product and they delivered. The communication back and forth was seamless and fast.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The creative output initially from them was pretty spot on based on just providing them basic info. The link and ability to convers creatively for changes over email was unique.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the Director of Business Services at Polyuno. We are an end-to-end software development company that offers tech solutions to businesses.
For what projects/services did your company hire Lemonlight?
We are a B2B company, which means that sometimes, traditional outreach channels don't yield the best results. We hired Lemonlight to help us produce two unique promotional video to help sell our B2B services and stand out from our competitors.
How did you select this vendor?
We conducted a thorough online search for the ideal video production company to tackle our project. We then had extensive interviews with each company and decided on Lemonlight based on its impressive portfolio and reasonable prices.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
The initial discovery call was followed by a "Scope" meeting, where we sat down with Lemonlight to discuss our requirements and goals for the project. The team at Lemonlight was very thorough in their questions to ensure they had a complete picture of what was needed. They spoke to several members at Polyuno, including the Co-founder.
With the expectations clearly outlined, they dove into the actual project. We were updated quite frequently on the status and the progress, and our opinion and feedback were taken into account every step of the way.
What was the team composition?
The initial point of contact at Lemonlight was their marketing department. For the actual project, the motion designers at Lemonlight worked closely with the executives here at Polyuno.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The produced video was quite a success and helped us close two new big-time clients in just two months. We are delighted with the quality of work produced and highly recommend Lemonlight to anyone looking to make promotional videos.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We had weekly feedback sessions with the video team at Lemonlight, making the back and forth between teams smoother and less time-consuming. We were also assigned a dedicated project manager who that all our requirements were executed within established deadlines.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their exhaustive vetting and research process to establish and understand our requirements and expectations was truly impressive. Lemonlight had left no stone unturned.
Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?
I wouldn't suggest doing anything differently. We were very satisfied with how smooth the whole process was.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and president of Air Fresh Marketing, a full-service experiential agency that focuses on physical marketing across the US and Canada.
What challenge were you trying to address with Lemonlight?
We needed more digital content—specifically, videos—for a lot of activations across the US. We’re not on-site at our client’s activations, so we wanted high-quality videos that capture what we do at our company and what we can do for other companies.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We’ve worked together for about two and a half years and made 12–15 videos in that period. For our usual process, we set up their on-site contact and meeting place and they go and capture the footage. They have a network of people across the country so they can activate people wherever. From that point, it’s normally two weeks for them to turnaround the first version. They handle all the editing and production tasks.
For our most recent project, they captured footage of people we’d hired handing out our client’s product to participants at the finish line of a race. They focused on the brand we were promoting and the good they do. We made one or two edits to their first version, and then they finalized the video.
What is the team composition?
We worked with two videographers on our most recent project, but there was also our account manager. They act as our point of contact and we use them over different projects.
How did you come to work with Lemonlight?
We found them through our founder organizations. I got to know one of their founders and built a relationship with them.
How much have you invested with them?
We work together on a project-by-project basis. We spent $5,000 on our most recent project.
What is the status of this engagement?
We first started working with them two and a half years ago. We reached out to them with this most recent effort at the beginning of June 2019, and they delivered the final video in the middle of July.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I thought the race video was well done. We haven’t pushed it out yet, but I’m very happy with them.
How did Lemonlight perform from a project management standpoint?
They have a great process, which makes them easy to work with. With a quick turnaround and easy booking system, I’m very pleased. My project manager handles all the communication so I never talk to the videographers. We’ve developed a streamlined template over the years that’s really freed me up to do other things.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What I really like is they’re simple to work with. A lot of video companies out there have really high minimums. We don’t need huge production since we’re more mobile, so they’re pricing is very reasonable. We’re not doing TV commercials, more of case studies, websites, and internet outreach tools. They’re very nimble and easy to work with. I highly recommend them to anybody.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Not now, no. When we first started the relationship, our process was a bit different. Over the years we’ve dialed it in so I’m not involved as much and they’re handling the creativity. This streamlined a lot of the activities. They’re also developing a portal that will replace a lot of the emails we have to send each other.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Understand what you’re looking for before jumping in and figure out what your goals are. This will help you in working with them to build something.

Their services have been wide-ranging; for instance, we’ve done co-promotional events together.

Lemonlight makes it very easy for us to pull them in as a turnkey option, and they’re capable of working in any video format. Their videos complement what we do on the written side. They’re phenomenal at partnering up with different clients and delivering what they’re looking for.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there’s nothing that stands out.
Any advice for potential customers?
Communicate openly and express your needs upfront. As long as you clearly lay out what you’re looking for, they deliver.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of a boutique tax law firm that specializes in high-level tax litigation in federal courts throughout the country. Our clients come to us from all over the world.
What challenge were you trying to address with Lemonlight?
We wanted to produce some marketing videos to enhance brand awareness and reach prospective clients who were searching for firms online.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They produced three branding videos for us by starting with a deep dive into our firm and the competitors in our space. They did a bunch of research on what differentiated us in our space. I was impressed by how quickly they gained a meaningful understanding of what we do.
After the initial factfinding stage, we collaborated on scripts and they did the shoot. We did two videos in my offices in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and a third video in California.
What is the team composition?
My main point of contact was the creative director. There were also at least two videographers at each shoot, and I got to know the three founders. Finally there was a team of editors, so I got to know the company pretty well.
How did you come to work with Lemonlight?
One of their salespeople reached out to us via email. We were looking for someone to do video for us and already had a list of local companies, so their timing was perfect. We added them to the list and ultimately ended up choosing them.
How much have you invested with them?
The project was between $15,000–$20,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together around October 2016. A lot of work went into the videos, but we finished the project within about six weeks.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our clients are high-end, and we’ve represented some very large cases, so the quality was very important. They exceeded all our expectations, both in terms of quality and in the speed of their turnaround.
How did Lemonlight perform from a project management standpoint?
They were a great fit for our needs, and their project management was among the best I’ve ever seen. In the past, we struggled to find a company that understood how to reach our clientele. Their creative director was amazing and understood our space so quickly.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their level of professionalism, their diligence, and the way they interacted with us were all fantastic. They proposed appropriate strategies for each video and executed each one with unparalleled quality.
Working with them was a blast. They are personable and fun to work with, and they really care about the process. They feel like friends.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Not really; they did a great job from start to finish. They came up with appropriate solutions and really understood how to reach our clients.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Go in prepared. They will give 110% to make sure they understand your business and deliver videos that make an impact. If you put some thought into what you hope to accomplish and how you can differentiate yourself in your space, you will have a better return on investment.

Video Production for Electrical Contracting Company
“They met all of my deadlines and delivered a fantastic video.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I'm the director of business development at Horsepower Electrical. We're a large company of almost 400 people and we do all types of electrical projects around New York City and the Tri-state area.
What challenge were you trying to address with Lemonlight?
We were looking for a company to help us put together a video that we could use as a recruiting tool to engage potential employees.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I had a vision of what I wanted and they helped me put together a story. I changed the storyline two or three times on my end, but they remained very patient throughout the process. They produced several new scripts for us to look at until we felt comfortable with the final version. Then, they handed the ball over to their video crew, who filmed a professional video. They also provided all the actors and a director. The whole process seemed simple and streamlined. They guided us and helped us with the creative side, without trying to take over the project.
What is the team composition?
I worked directly with a sales person, two script writers, and a video editor. In total, there were about seven people involved in our project.
How did you come to work with them?
I looked at a few different companies and Lemonlight was highly recommended to me. They were reasonably priced and professional. Also, I liked the examples of their past work, so I chose them.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent between $10,000–$12,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
I started working with them in February 2017 and the project was completed in October 2017.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The video is posted on our website and it got a lot of views. It's hard to say how many of those people decided to apply for work at our company, but the feedback has been very positive. The internal team loves the video and the way it portrays our company. It has laid the foundation of our digital brand, showing us as a serious company.
How did they perform from a project management standpoint?
They were very understanding, polite and professional, even when we were going through some minor difficulties. Also, they were responsive, so I never had to chase them. They worked quickly and would have finished the video sooner if I hadn't changed the storyline a few times at the beginning of the process. They met all of my deadlines and delivered a fantastic video.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What distinguishes them from other providers is their thorough knowledge of their industry, patient demeanor, and most importantly, their ability to deliver on promises.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No. I had no issues with them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They have a lot of creative ideas and can help you shape your vision. Also, they're patient and easy to work with.

Video Production for Independent School
“They were really considerate and thoughtful but also engaged with the people they were shooting."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
We are a small independent school in downtown Manhattan and we've got about 150 kids. We serve children from ages 2 through 5th grade and we’ve been around for about 50 years. I am the head of the school.
What challenge were you trying to address with Lemonlight?
We wanted to add videos to our website and increase our marketing outreach. We wanted to create a brand video and one smaller video.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We collaborated with their creative person, talked about the different messages we wanted to get across, and what the final product might look like. They supported us in figuring out how the shoot will look, and how to capture certain footage. A shoot list was created, they helped with scriptwriting, and collaborative feedback was given. The final product resulted in a one minute video and a thirty second video.
This was only the first iteration we've done with them so far. We're about to do a series of shoots over the next several months. We’ve only had a strategy call and strategy proposal written up for the next part of the project.
What is the team composition?
We initially spoke with one person who was our pitch point and helped us understand the different options in their product line. After that we had a call with their creative person and then the onsite project manager. When it finally came time to film the project, we worked with two onsite crew members.
Since the first project, we’ve only been in contact with their strategy and creative person.
How did you come to work with Lemonlight?
They contacted us with an email first. Then we researched the company and decided it was worth the conversation.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve invested around $7,000 with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve worked with them since April 2017.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
I don’t have anything at the moment. But we've been very pleased with the product and its appearance. We’ve also shared it with our board and other individuals who were very impressed with it.
How did Lemonlight perform from a project management standpoint?
We were happy they were really easy to work with. The two onsite crew members that came the day of the shoot were fantastic. They were really considerate and thoughtful but also engaged with the people they were shooting. They knew all the right questions to ask which made everything easy and seamless.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We noticed that they worked with a lot of different schools and as an independent school, we have a specific need of what a brand video should look like. Because they had that experience, it didn't take that long for them to figure out who we were and then use that understanding to ask the right questions.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No I don't think so. We wouldn't have engaged with them for the six months if we weren't pleased.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
You need to know what you're looking for. You get a lot more out of the experience with some clarity of what it is you're trying to communicate. So spend some time thinking about your objectives and take advantage of the creative call with them.
Lemonlight's work met all expectations. The team delivered a fun product with a very customer-oriented engagement. They're also professional and great to work with.
