I’m the owner of Ron Chambers Music, a music production company.

What challenge were you trying to address with LDR Web Design Agency?

We were looking for a cost-effective solution to get a website designed and up and running.

LDR Web Design Agency provided me with their web development services. I was very much involved in the process of telling them the features that I required. I wanted the ability to put up different types of music on the website and provide information about each of them. I took their lead and gave them content they can publish like a short bio about myself and other descriptions.

The feedback I’ve gotten based on how the website is designed has been very positive. People love its simplicity and user-friendliness.

How did LDR Web Design Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

They were great from a project management perspective because they were very attentive, communicative, and thorough. It was my desire to get the project done at a certain time, so they reached out to me whenever they needed me.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re very impressed with the design and look of the site. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever seen, and I like the fact that they uniquely addressed what I needed since I have a diverse range of music styles. Another thing we liked about what they did was implement verbiages on the website that spoke or message clearly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They did a great job on the website even though they were really busy, so I don’t know how they could’ve done things differently.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

My advice is to think through what you want your website to look like and what you want to accomplish. In other words, have a game plan of what you want and let their expertise guide you through the process.

I'm the VP of AEC Magnetics for Automatic Equipment Corporation. We make automated equipment and we specialize in magnetics. We also manufacture electromagnets, permanent magnets, and magnetic tooling, and provide power supplies, repairs, and certifications.

What business challenge were you trying to address with LDR Design Agency?

We wanted to replace our last website designer because their work was horrible. We hired LDR Design Agency to help make improvements on our websites and provide us with custom work.

What was the scope of their involvement?

LDR Web Design came in and provided the perfect solution for the development of our website that was scalable. We asked for something that was flexible and better than an in-the-box solution, because we wanted to be able to add transactional features on the website at a later time without reinventing the wheel.

The project was seamless once we got it away from the other company because Beverly (VP of Internet Marketing) was very organized with the development. No other company does what we do, but she was able to get all of our requirements together despite being outside of our core competency.

The entire project was managed and developed through JIRA.

What was the team composition?

Beverly and Louis (IT President & Senior Engineer) were my only points of contact.

How did you come to work with LDR Design Agency?

Our previous web designer was horrible so we had to let them go and look for a better one. We did a huge study that took six months and interviewed seven different companies. We didn't even think twice about it when we met LDR Design Agency and chose them immediately.

Louis was coincidentally a former GE Capital IT solutions specialist and that’s where I was a VP for several years. We only found out about our connection after we started working together but he's always been a brilliant person.

How much have you invested with them?

The initial outlay was in the range of $5,000–$6,000.

What is the status of the engagement?

We worked together from July–September 2016. It was a very collaborative effort because I showed them what I wanted.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We do not necessarily care about going out and rounding up as many people as we can get — we care about delivering precise information about precision products. Putting something online
that is old information due to product specification changes, is what we consider the worst thing that could happen.

The previous company we worked with would take months and charge us hundreds of dollars to implement changes. Thanks to LDR Web Design Agency, even someone like me can make changes quickly, accurately, and on time without having to go through channels.

The other way we measured the success of this project was the usefulness factor as described by our potential customers. Before, we would have to put in a change order and be charged an inordinate amount of money for a minor change.

The change would then take weeks and it was so frustrating because our customers needed that information for their work right away. LDR Design Agency has changed all that and that is a huge deliverable to AEC Magnetics.

How did LDR Design Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

They were excellent with scheduling and delivering the project within the agreed timeline. In regards to working within our budget, they exceeded our expectations especially all the custom work that we got at pennies on the dollar.

We didn’t use any project management tools because we didn't do a new product introduction — at most, I mildly did a Six Sigma DMAIC. We designed what we wanted, measured it, analyzed it, put in some improvements, and then had controls in place so it continues to be an accurate website.

They were very accessible, pleasant, and easy to work with it. It was hard to believe they had so many other clients because they're very good at being responsive. If I have a question, they act like I'm the only person that they serve. Moreover, their planning and attention to detail are all wonderful, but it personally goes to my heart that they're patient. We mostly communicated via phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their responsiveness was without a doubt very impressive, and it was closely followed by their can-do attitude.

Are there any areas that they could improve?

I don't like the billing interface but as it turns out, they're working on changing it this month. It was very frustrating because it was really difficult for us to integrate with our system. After this past payment in September, Beverly told me it's being changed so it can function the way we wanted. Other than that, I don’t have any complaints regarding the project because they were exceptional.

Any advice for potential customers?

I would advise them to do as much of the "homework" as they give you. Some may be hesitant to take on those responsibilities and it might sound like a lot of work, but the pre-organization and the homework that they give you is fundamental for them to launch the project quickly without a redo.

I did everything they requested and got our entire catalog material together to give to them. In hindsight, that was the smartest thing to do because it gave us a much more accurate starting point, instead of just sitting there going through endless design sessions.

We receive emails every time someone checks in to our platform through them, and that’s been constant — they’ve been thorough and professional along the way.

Their follow-up is what stands out from their work; they keep us informed on where they are in the project and what they still need to do.

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on — their team is great at keeping us updated and informed. Whenever they notice a new trend, they call me to apply it to our business.

LDR created a website for us, that loads quickly and has the structure to expand as needed. They also worked with us to obtain the domain and created a logo.

We had worked with several other online web site developers and were disappointed in the quality of the work. Meeting with LDR and discussing their approach, as well as their skills and pricing, we selected them.

We filled out the design brief provided by LDR. We then went through a iterative process of determining color pallet, content, look and feel of the site. They stayed on schedule and delivered an excellent product that met our requirements.

The project was delivered on time. The design and look and feel met our criteria. Visitors to the site have continually increased.

Project Manager was always available for questions and provided progress reports. All members of LDR were always helpful and took the time to thoroughly answer our questions.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They delivered their commitments and helped us understand what they needed from us to make the project smoothly. The project went smoother and with less stress for my organization than any previous ones.
