Please describe your company and your position there.
I act as a Freelance Marketing Director for certain companies that are looking to grow.
For what projects/services did your company hire Lawtz Design Group?
I decided to change supplier for the design and print of our clothing catalogue after our previous supplier had become slow to reply. We produce a catalogue on a quarterly basis targeting the male 18-35 year old market.
This catalogue was for the Winter/Christmas period and we required Lawtz Design Group to arrange the product photography, take care of the photoshopping and then design/print the catalogue. We supplied the product details/pricing for them to work with.
What were your goals for this project?
We looking for an eye catching, user friendly product that would help us achieve our sales target.
How did you select Lawtz Design Group?
We had a good shortlist of design agencies who were keen to work with us, but we chose Lawtz Design Group after talking to one of their previous clients. We were impressed with how they spoke of their dedication to past projects and importantly to us, how excellent their communication was.
Describe the project in detail.
This 3 month project was run to tight deadlines. We sat down initially with Simon from Lawtz Design Group and agreed the key milestones and an outline of the plan, which they went away to firm up.
Working back from the printing deadline, they organised two days of photoshoots of our products (they sourced the photographer and organised locations), photoshop touching up, and then eventually the design. They took our previous catalogue styles into account but also offered their own take on small improvements we could make.
What was the team composition?
4 people – A project manager, a photographer, a photoshop expert and a printing company contact.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The catalogue arrived from the printers on time, to an excellent finished quality and the style of design for the catalogue was perfect for our brand.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
A key factor in our decision making for this project was the reference to the communication skills of Lawtz Design Group. We were kept informed throughout of the projects progress and any queries they had. They also were very responsive in answering our questions. Every single key milestone was hit throughout the project.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
The overall package. Even though they a small company on paper, the range of services they can offer is very impressive. We found that Simon has built up some useful contacts related to the design industry (photographers, illustrators, printers etc) and so he can offer a tailored service to his clients.

Charles Darrow is a Commercial Property Estate Agency and I am a Director.
For what projects/services did your company hire Lawtz Design Group?
Our marketing material was becoming tired having been in circulation for a number of years, and we wanted to give everything a facelift and make it more consistent across our the marketing platforms.
What were your goals for this project?
Develop both our business and client's awareness of our products.
How did you select Lawtz Design Group?
They had worked with us on past design projects, and we have found them very easy to work with. Their pricing is competitive and they take on board instruction very well.
Describe the project in detail.
We advertise on multiple platforms including direct mail leaflets, brochures, newspaper advertising, social media and websites. We provided Lawtz Design Group with a brief to analyse our existing marketing material and come back with suggested improvements. Once we agreed on the direction, they went away to draft some example advertisements aimed at our target markets.
What was the team composition?
2 people – A project manager and a designer.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We have found an increased interaction with our marketing materials since the new branding came into place and we have taken on more instructions from property/business owners than in previous years. We have received a number of positive comments on the change in our marketing branding and we are very happy with the quality of the work provided.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Simon (Project Manager) is easy to communicate with. I felt at ease asking endless questions and making suggestions. He was very happy to push back on some of those suggestions when he felt they were not suitable. We met in person initially and then communicated via telephone and email as the project went forward.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
For their size they definitely punch above their weight with superb design and communication.

Right To Build helps Local Authorities, community groups and other organisations across the UK to deliver large, affordable custom and self build projects. My role is Marketing and Comms
For what projects/services did your company hire Lawtz Design Group?
We were looking to rebrand/update our very tired logo which had served its purpose. We wanted to end up with a logo/brand more suited to a professional service, while maintaining a representation of the sector we work in.
What were your goals for this project?
We wanted to create a simple suite of design elements that would convey our brand values and present a professional front.
How did you select Lawtz Design Group?
We were referred to Lawtz Design Group by one of our board members who had worked with them on her own companies branding requirements. She gave a very positive review of their overall services and value for money, so we felt they were a solid choice.
Describe the project in detail.
We had seen a number of logos that gave an indication of the direction we wished to go in, but we wanted to retain the sense of the sector we work in (self build housing). We provided a brief to Lawtz Design Group and we agreed on a structure of stages for the process and an estimated cost. Alongside the new logo we required branded templates to work with for Word and Powerpoint.
What was the team composition?
Two. A project manager and a designer.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The final logo was exactly as required and it was provided in every format we could possibly need going forward. We were provided with a Word template, branded to the final logo, and a suite of Powerpoint templates which went above and beyond our expectations.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
They are communicative and supportive throughout the workflow.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
We felt like being instructed to complete our project mattered to them, like we mattered to them.
Are there any areas for improvement?

How did you select Lawtz Design Group?
We had been aware of Lawtz Design Group for a number of years. I have worked with them previously of numerous projects and they have always provide a great quality of service and never missed an agreed deadline. Their communication with the client throughout a project sets them apart from other agencies I have worked with.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
Lawtz Design Group are given a series of detailed base maps of the site and are given flexibility to interpret them into an illustrated plan. We need the maps to reflect the nature of the area and provide enough information to inform the public while not overloading with technical site details. We find minimal revisions are needed as they have become accustomed to our needs very quickly.

Product Design for Whey Protein Supplement Company
"They managed to replicate and produce exactly what we had manifested in our minds-eye."

Please describe your company and your position there.
A start-up supplement company. Supplements will be targeting the Asian market, namely Thailand. Position held: Founder/CEO
For what projects/services did your company hire Lawtz Design Group, and what were your goals?
This is our first product launch into the supplement market in Asia. Lawtz was hired to design almost entirely from top to bottom, our launching logo for our Whey Protein Isolate supplement. Initially, we only had our company logo and Simon (Lawtz Design) built the entire sticker/label design based around this. Our aim was to have a finished product containing all nutritional information, QR codes and Barcodes but most importantly to look sleek, modern and eye catching to consumers.
How did you select this vendor?
After speaking to various designers locally in Asia, it was clear that communication (especially on specifics) was going to be a problem. We therefore looked to our home, the UK, to aid us in this regard. Having identified numerous design companies and having looked over some of Lawtz's clients, it was clear that their style was in line with our own.
However the final decision was based on the excellent communications and attention to detail afforded to us by Lawtz Designs. This was always going to be the key for ourselves due to the geographical differences in location. Lawtz Designs were attentive and excellent communicators and this sealed the deal for us as we would like to establish such a relationship with such reliability for future projects.
Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.
The initial steps taken were to set out the dimensions of the product and to ascertain whether or not we already had a brand/logo to work with. Specifics were asked on the amount (of flavours) required and how many designs would be required, as well as some Q and A's regarding pre existing protein labels already on the market to determine what style we were looking for.
From here, colour schemes were discussed and Simon (Lawtz Designs) drew out information from ourselves which we did not even know ourselves. His approach is meticulous and considered and his experience was clear to see as he drew out more and more information from us, updating the logo/sticker design and sending us an updated and edited image each and every step of the way.
The design was built up over time via these means. They managed to replicate and produce exactly what we had manifested in our minds-eye. That we were previously unable to put into the design.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We (I) worked directly with Simon only from beginning to end, which was fantastic for continuity and understanding. Simon is the owner.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Presently, we are yet to launch our product and this will take place over the next few months. However, there is much success to be happy about here.
To find a company that we are able to communicate with effectively from half way across the globe was one of our aims from the get go, and this has been not only achieved but expectations surpassed in terms of the work done on the design as well as the excellent rapport we have built. This will also be fundamental to our future projects when we work together again.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Due to being both geographically separated AND myself being in a location of poor internet during this time, we had to adapt to emails only. Despite this, information was communicated excellently from Simon and promptly too. There was no delays for days or endless ping pong emails - emails were exactly what they needed to be in order to draw out exactly what he needed to know.
Along with some friendly interaction along they way, which makes for an excellent future working relationship with Simon. There were multiple changes made from my side throughout the design stage, as I wanted things added to the design as it began to take shape, and Simon accommodated this magnificently and without hesitation even when I felt like I was becoming a pest!
The work was finished in a very timely manner and any delays that occurred throughout were borne by myself due to location, and my manufacturer. Simon was always ready to respond and hit the ground running whenever I was able to come back into communication.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I found the communications very impressive with Simon, condensing emails which were straight to the important points and the ability to draw out so much information with such little to work with. It also was great that he was somewhat familiar with this particular kind of branding and you could see this come out in the work and final product.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Nothing.
