Tennent Caledonian Breweries and Wallaces TCB offered a ‘One Stop Shop’ for the Scottish licensed trade by distributing a vast range of brands and products to outlets across the country. Launch designed and produced a 40+ page trade brochure each month containing more than 2,000 leading brands and products in beer, cider, wines, spirits and soft drinks. The brochure had to promote exceptional value with market leading pricing and great offers across the full range, flexible ordering with the ability to place orders by telephone or online via the new TennentsDirect.com website and a fast, efficient service.
From the success of this brochure Launch were instructed to design a dedicated wine brochure for La Barrique, booklets for Caledonia Best, corporate stationery for Magners and a marketing and advertising campaign for their new brand Hornsby’s Fruit Cider. Launch were also approached to develop a new brand to incorporate Wallaces Express with merger by new owners Tennent Caledonain Breweries. The new Wallaces TCB brand was created and proved to be very successful for the distribution arm.

The Commission for Developing Scotland’s Young Workforce highlighted the need for concerted action to tackle the problem of youth unemployment. Developing the Young Workforce (DYW) Ayrshire was set up to implement the Commission’s recommendations at a local level. They needed to engage with young people, schools, colleges, universities, employers and local authorities.
DYW and the team at launch recognised the need for the implementation of a marketing campaign in order to achieve their goals. This involved the design and development of a website, email marketing campaigns and print designs. From this DYW gained a fully responsive and attractive website, as well as a suite of marketing materials to be used in on/offline communications.
Launch have since designed each of the annual reports highlighting the amazing statistics and making it fun to read which helps get over the great work DYW Ayrshire are doing.

Scottish Chambers of Commerce is the umbrella organisation for 21 local Chambers of Commerce and has built a reputation as Scotland’s premier voice for business at national and international level. SCC promote the interests of their member companies and help them rise to the challenge, seize the opportunity and succeed in the marketplace.
Scottish Chambers approached Launch to deliver marketing material for their two biggest trips in 2018 and their Global Business Dinner including leaflets, posters, banners, business cards, exhibition stands, booklets and brochures.
The first trip was to London where they would discuss key economic & business topics with Lord Ian Duncan, attend a Business Briefing with senior Directors from the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy, attend B2B a connections event hosted by CBRE (the world’s largest real estate services and investment firm) and visit the London Stock Exchange & Royal Bank of Scotland. The second trip is to China with a visit to the Great Wall, Market Awareness Sessions, B2B meetings with Chinese companies and a market introduction from Weber Shandwick at the British Embassy. The Global Business Dinner was held at the St. Andrew’s Old Course Hotel with His Excellency Ambassador Liu Xiaoming giving a Q&A. Launch sponsored the event alongside Eden Mill and Unicorn Property Group.
Launch were tasked with making the events attractive to businesses from all over Scotland, advertising and promoting the events and delivering the marketing material. We worked with language interpreters on the Chinese material to make sure the translation was accurate, used image manipulation to merge Scotland with China and overcame obstacles to deliver all material on budget and on time. Both trips and the dinner were a huge success with delegates attending from a wide range of sectors and areas in Scotland.
Launch have since continued their partnership with SCC delivering corporate stationery, brochures, information campaigns, social media assets and will undertake a full rebrand of the identity and all materials in 2020.

CDM (Scotland) Limited was established in 1995 and is now Europe’s complete supplier of safety related services. CDM recognised the need to develop a strategic marketing plan. The campaign developed by Launch involved the creation of a new brand identity as well as the design and build of a modern website to attract new and existing customers. Launch re-branded all the documentation and forms to keep the brand consistent in all aspects of the company.
We designed a stunning new company overview brochure to send to potential clients as a detailed dossier of capabilities. We produced a synchronised, three-fold campaign of social media, email marketing and direct, offline leaflet distribution for the training aspect of the company to promote to local tradesmen and businesses in the construction sector. Launch also took on the role of dealing with the sponsorship of Glasgow Warriors focusing on promoting the partnership through social media, email marketing and programme advertising. CDM has seen increased web traffic volumes and brand recognition from the campaign. As well as brand building the campaign has gained several new projects and the training has now expanded into Glasgow.

Developing the Young Workforce is Scotland’s youth employment strategy to better prepare young people for the world of work. The main aim is to reduce youth unemployment levels by 40% by 2021 and this target has been achieved - four years ahead of schedule. 21 Regional Groups have been set up across Scotland to connect employers with education.
DYW Ayrshire is hosted by Ayrshire Chamber of Commerce. The focus going forward is to strengthen partnerships across Ayrshire to sustain and build on this progress. Through a transformation in how employers engage with the education and the skills system, we are improving the work readiness of Ayrshire’s young people.

The work executed by Launch Digital Ltd on behalf of their client has exceeded project stakeholder expectations, providing every digital asset and marketing campaign deliverable asked for within budget and timelines. Their team is communicative, professional, and enjoyable to work with at all times.
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m COO for a community rugby club with teams ranging from recreational to semi-professional for both males and females. We are one of the biggest rugby clubs in Scotland and are a nonprofit organization.
What challenge were you trying to address with Launch Digital Ltd?
We originally hired them to design and develop a website for us, and we’ve grown in our involvement together from there.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The first project was to develop both an informational site explaining our organization as well as an e-commerce option where people can pay for gear and membership options. The solution they developed uses membermojo and allows for one-time and monthly payments as well.
Since then, they’ve been really helpful with all of our digital marketing work, particularly in developing our presence on social media. When we’ve launched new teams, they’ve helped to create new logos and handle the marketing of those events as well, as well as various one-off events, games, and other ideas on which we need consultation from a marketing perspective.
What is the team composition?
There have primarily been two people at their company who we’ve dealt with, Dave (Managing Director) and Richie (Creative Director), and they’ve both been absolutely brilliant to work with.
How did you come to work with Launch Digital Ltd?
We started working with them because they were local to our area. It was clear right from the start that they were a good fit for us, and we haven’t looked back since.
How much have you invested with them?
The partnership is a bit unique for us because we are able to compensate them for their work through both advertising space on our grounds, as well as through promoting them as our advertising partner on the social media accounts that they have helped us to develop.
What is the status of this engagement?
We first started working together in February 2017 and have been partnering on a variety of projects with them ever since.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our teams catch up on a fortnightly basis, so they let us know frequently what’s been done to the website if there are any more changes that need to be made, and how we’re doing in terms of traffic and other performance metrics that they are targeting. We’ve really appreciated having that regular check-in with them.
How did Launch Digital Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?
Their team has delivered every single time, whether its changes to the website, launching a new website, or running an ad campaign. They deliver on time and within budget every single time and made sure that we know exactly when and how they’re going to do it.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We are consistently impressed by their professionalism, their responsiveness, and their dedication to completing everything that they say they’re going to do when they say they’re going to do it. Being able to trust them and rely on that relationship has really been an incredible asset to our organization.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I honestly don’t think there’s anything they could be doing differently. I can’t speak highly enough of everything they’ve done to support us and help us grow.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Pick up the phone, arrange to meet them, and sit down ready for that conversation. As long as you’re in the room with them, they’ll be able to understand what you want and then deliver on it, and they might even come up with suggestions you haven’t thought of in the process.
