Introduce your business and what you do there.

We are a custom mobile and web software development company. We build software to help other companies achieve goals through implementation of custom technology. As the COO, I handle all of our operations, client engagement, sales, and business development efforts. I'm also in charge of strategic partnerships like the one we have with LASANAN.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with LASANAN?

We were helping a client reimagine and rebuild their web presence. The site was old and on an outdated platform, and we needed to create something to support growth.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We engaged LASANAN to come up with a strategy to optimize the entire endeavor. They helped us figure out the current architecture and a transition plan that helped us transfer the old data to the new site. We wanted to maintain a high level of visibility for the client, so SEO was also a major consideration. We also explored new strategies to bring in new clients.

LASANAN helped with keyword research and everything linked to SEO. They looked at AdWords and Facebook accounts and explored past strategies. They assessed risks and the quality of keywords to push traffic to the site.

What is the team composition?

We have one main point of contact, but we've also interacted with at least five other team members who act as analysts, SEO specialists, strategists, and architects.

How did you come to work with LASANAN?

We were introduced through a mutual client. When we had an opportunity arose, we started collaborating with them. We've worked on several projects together since then.

How much have you invested with them?

We've definitely spent more than $10,000 on their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

The most recent project ran from October 2018-September 2019, and the partnership will continue for other projects.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

There was hardly any dip in traffic through this transition, and we already see a positive trajectory in organic traffic. Everything is going very well, and they've filled a lot of the gaps in visibility that the brand had previously.

How did LASANAN perform from a project management standpoint?

They keep us informed, up-to-date, and copied on appropriate emails, and all their deliverables come in on time. Other than email, we also communicate through phone and text.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're experts in their field. When things go outside of our normal service offerings, engaging with them is extremely comfortable. They think about all the ecosystems at play, as well as all the manipulating factors and forces that are out of our control. I trust their services, and I never have to question what they deliver. The quality of their work is always appropriate, and we always receive what we need.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Nothing comes to mind for improvements. They're great connectors, and they know a lot of small agencies. They never oversell their abilities, and they recommend other vendors to help keep projects on track.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The earlier you engage them, and the more you can tell them about your business, the better. Share your insights and documentation, which will give them a more strategic vision. They are masters of the digital marketing world, and they work best with a high level of transparency.

I was the Director of Marketing for a boutique retail and e-commerce fashion brand called HOMAGE. We operated 5 retail stores in the midwest and a significant national footprint via e-comm.

For what projects/services did your company hire LASANAN?

We had a social media team with skills in content and community management and were looking for a partner to assist that team with paid social advertising strategy and execution to drive revenue from Facebook.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to implement best practices and optimize our performance advertising on Facebook, our most active brand social channel. We sought to drive revenue and acquire new customers from the channel as Facebook tweaked their algorithm to drive their ad network.

How did you select this vendor?

We had a great experience working with LASANAN's founder via a previous engagement before he founded the agency. His strategic and process expertise was second-to-none, and he provided incredible value to our search marketing channel during that engagement. We considered 6 additional social ad partners/vendors before selecting LASANAN due to past success with the founder and the desire to work with a local partner.

After selecting LASANAN, they executed an audit of our existing paid social strategy and goals and presented recommendations on: growth tactics, budget planning optimization, improvements to tracking and attribution modeling, and transferred knowledge to our internal social media team for day-to-day execution. We retained LASANAN as a consultative partner and auditor of go-forward activities following the strategic audit and training of our staff.

The founder was personally involved in our project and provided recommendations himself. Justin added support during the engagement but maintained his position as our point of contact and knowledge holder.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The tracking improvements implemented by LASANAN gave us greater confidence in our ability to attribute sales and make budget optimizations at their recommendation. We were able to drive significant returns on our ad spend and increased budget month-to-month to support facebook growth as outlined by LASANAN. LASANAN's openness in knowledge transfer and training allowed our internal team to capably execute on a best-in-class strategy that drove significant revenue and new customer acquisition. The engagement with LASANAN was deemed successful by the social team, myself, and C-level management at HOMAGE.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

LASANAN was meticulous in reporting and provided recommendations based on performance in a simple, actionable framework. Communication and management of our account were handled professionally and all parties were satisfied.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We were impressed with the depth of knowledge at LASANAN. From strategic insights to very granular tactical recommendations, LASANAN provided a framework for us to impact every facet of our social ad performance with a close eye on ROI and KPI's (revenue and new customer acquisition).
