Nutrex Hawaii
When the Nutrex Hawaii team approached L7 Creative, they were looking to take their eCommerce sales to new heights. This client was already a contender in the health and wellness space but had birthed two separate product lines, each possessing their own target demographics and in turn, uniquely separate marketing strategies. The L7 Creative team designed strong creative tailored to each products unique positioning in the market, implemented incredibly strong organic and paid social media strategies, launched an influencer program to optimize user-generated content (content that vitamin and supplement companies rely heavily on in order to gain consumer trust), optimized their Paid Search strategies and more. With the growing demand for qualified nurses, Eisenhower Health’s goal was to evolve their recruitment strategies from those being used by other healthcare systems. To add to the challenge, local hospitals were competing for the top nursing prospects more than ever. E3 Housing Solutions
L7 Creative guided E3 Housing Solutions in creating a subscription-based training and supportive services model for the HUD housing industry. First, E3 Housing Solutions would need to position their for-profit brand as the leader in 360° Compliance Training™ for those who own or operate HUD housing. Next, they needed an intuitive application to enhance operational efficiency and replace the logistical challenges of their in-person training. L7 Creative accomplished both of those critical tasks by designing an immersive digital experience that has since been emulated across the industry. The L7 Brand Blueprint™ and L7 Marketing Machine™ helped us develop their brand positioning, define target demographics and craft a comprehensive marketing plan to solidify their business model. Triaj
An innovative health tech app, Triaj was set to hit the App Store and the client needed help to generate app adoption, find beta testers and build brand awareness prior to the official launch. We hired L7 to help us not only gain market share with our clients, but also to rebrand our logo and messaging to an updated fresh look to match our culture, SEO, a new website and social media and marketing campaigns.
How did you select this vendor?
I spent 2 years talking to multiple marketing and creative agencies across the country before finally putting my trust in Tom and the L7 gang.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
We kicked off the relationship with an all day planning and discovery session with key stakeholders from L7 and our group in August 2019. Shortly thereafter I received our SOW, budget, and a complete plan of action. We went live with our plan in January 2020.
The messaging and brand fresh happened exactly on schedule and was so much easier thanks to L7's planning that I ever could have imagined. I love the new logo and brand messaging and our shiny website is immaculate. I never would have envisioned my experience with a marketing firm would be this good and we would find someone that really "got us".
What was the team composition?
I work closely with the CEO, the social media manager, and my 2 account managers who I adore, but I have also had exposure with the design team, web team, etc....everyone who I have had the chance to meet with has been fantastic. I look forward to our weekly calls with my account managers. They are always prepared and make sure we stay aligned.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Our logo fresh, messaging and website have been some of the bigger successes.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow and communication between our team and theirs could not have been more efficient. If there were ever any delays or stalls it came from my end.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their commitment to the project budget and timeline is very impressive. They are also very big problem solvers. If you tell them I cant they will find a way to help you be able to turn the cant into a can. For example I actually was having more leads coming in than we could handle and asked them to pump the brakes on lead generation until we could get our vendor situation figured out. They came up with a host of creative strategies to help us recruit vendors to transition those budgets into to solve the issue so we could take on more leads again.
Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?
Not that I can think of. Keep on doing a great job!

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I was the CTO of the company at the time of working with L7 Creative.
What challenge were you trying to address with L7 Creative?
We were doing a rebranding for our company.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We outsourced the entire rebranding project and marketing to L7 Creative, including our PPC efforts. We gave them our requirements, and they led us through a discovery workshop where we worked with their leadership to set up our strategy and marketing narratives.
They produced various branding and marketing assets, and they developed a new WordPress page for us. However, we created the logo in-house. The site was a standard presentation page for our company.
L7 Creative was also our partner at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) one year, in which they helped organize our event schedule.
What is the team composition?
We had a virtual team assigned to us. We touched base with 7–8 people during the whole process, and everyone had different skill sets.
How did you come to work with L7 Creative?
We put out a bid in San Diego and got pitches from three agencies. L7 Creative made the best impression on our leadership team. They were very personable, and it felt like their approach matched ours. The other agencies didn’t feel as flexible as them.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with L7 Creative around May 2014. I’ve also worked with them on a similar project at another company since then, and I have a partnership with them in my current role.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The website that L7 Creative created really resembled the work that they did. It was well built and had good content and design — it showed all the qualities of what L7 Creative did well.
How did L7 Creative perform from a project management standpoint?
L7 Creative delivered everything on time. They had some collaborative tools, and we used them for communication. We chose them because they were very personable, so there was a lot of personal communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their creative side was impressive. L7 Creative was really good at thinking out of the box for us.
Are there any areas they could improve?
They could have strengthened their tech side, but that project was seven years ago. At the time, that was their only weak link.

My advice is to go for it and work with them. You will learn a lot and get some good work done.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the VP of sales and marketing at Triaj, a health tech software company. I deal with healthcare providers, doctors, nurses, and hospitals. We’re a startup based in San Diego, and we founded the company two years ago.
What challenge were you trying to address with L7 Creative?
When the product was almost ready to go to market, I started looking around for somebody to support us on digital marketing.
What was the scope of their involvement?
L7 Creatives manages everything about our digital platform — all of our social media and our paid and organic traffic. I give them direction based on who we’re trying to reach, and they create all the posts for us. They’ve optimized our website, and they manage our CRM platform as well. This includes direct email campaigns and drip campaigns.
Also, they’ve developed pitch decks numerous times for us. L7 Creative has the ability to take the concept and direction that I provide them and evolve them into a beautiful, dynamic pitch deck.
Furthermore, securing funding through investors is also a very big part of my work. I probably spend half of my days on that, and L7 Creative has been able to automate a lot of it.
What is the team composition?
I interact with four people on a daily basis. I work with Tom (Founder), Nina (Brand Marketing & Account Management Guru), who is our account manager, Christina (Senior Visual Designer), who handles all of our social media, and someone on the sales side who has helped me work with some of our CRM management.
I occasionally deal with their graphic team, but that’s more of an internal process.
How did you come to work with L7 Creative?
I had meetings with 3–5 companies. I ran into L7 Creative and was really impressed with them right off the bat. I connected with them as people.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $200,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in June 2020, and the relationship is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They brought a lot to the table right off the bat. It was a marriage of two really strong companies. After optimizing our website, the web traffic quadrupled within a week, which resulted in thousands of downloads on the App Store. Once we went live with the campaigns, we were able to secure hundreds of thousands of impressions within a very short period of time. Within 2–3 weeks, the visibility went through the roof.
We launched in the App Store in September. Prior to launching, when we activated the direct email campaign to drive awareness for the app, our website hits went from 5,000 to about 20,000 within three days. They’re very targeted in their approach.
Of course, there’s a revenue component, but we focus more on gathering analytics about how to see if there are any pitfalls or hero sections in our app. In that sense, L7 Creative plays an integral part in helping us digest the information that we receive through the Apple platform. As we continue to develop the product, we’re targeting the areas that need improvement but also doubling down on those areas that are working really well.
All in all, they’ve not only driven App Store sales and brand awareness just in the US. With L7 Creative, we’ve been able to secure users in about 42 different countries. They’ve operated on a global platform and put the word out to a lot of the top publications here in our country.
Due to that, we've won two different awards. One was the Best Healthcare Mobile Application by Mobile Web Award.
How did L7 Creative perform from a project management standpoint?
Their project management is on point. They have a relatively small team but any time I ask for something, they’re always available. They’re good at managing the production schedule to make sure they can meet our needs in a very fast-paced, ever changing environment. They will expedite anything that comes out of the blue.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The number one thing that sets them apart is their people. Tom has created an unbelievable team. They’re very proactive in the way they do business; they come with solutions rather than problems, which makes my life a whole lot easier. They’re just good people, and I enjoy interacting with them on a daily basis.
Since we’re a startup, we’re probably not their most lucrative account, but they don’t deprioritize us. We have cash flow occasionally, and they’re always willing to work with us. We have a great relationship.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I just wish I had more money to spend with them. In the grand scheme of things, spending $200,000 is not a huge amount of money when you’re talking about creating a global entity.
Basically, we funded the company through angel investors, and the ultimate goal is a seed round through venture capitalists. Once we get that seed round, we’ll really be able to have a proper marketing spend and let them take things to the next level.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Engagement is their thing. They use all the latest techniques from drip campaigns to CRM management. The other big selling point for me was that Tom has a bit of a background in healthcare as well. They deal in consumer goods and every segment that’s here in San Diego. They even have accounts over in Hawaii, so it’s not just a local business for them.
Furthermore, they’re great about allowing you to feed them concepts, give them direction, and then running with the ball.
