We initially had a Magneto Community version of the site. I was looking to engage with an agency that understands the platform and how it operates. Before we were working with a marketing firm and I needed a highly-rated, Magento-certified agency to take a current assessment of our site and take advantages of the features we weren’t fully aware of.

What challenges were you trying to address with Krish TechnoLabs?
We needed to improve our Magento website with new features, but our previous provider was expensive and their turnaround times weren’t great. Therefore, we searched for new developers to better accomplish our web design goals.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We put together a list in-house of website improvements in-house and sent them to Krish. They replied with an outline of what was doable and how long each task would take. Alongside that, they made their recommendations to improve the site’s usability. We merged the two lists and came up with a practical web design roadmap.
They provided a lot of features that are useful for our company. We have many products with different colors and ranges. To display this better, they added a navigation bar to the left side of the page that filters products by color, gender, size, etc. Using this navigation system, we can quickly show customers everything available to them within their requirements.

I am the e-commerce manager of Tavola, a specialty retail store offering kitchenware, appliances, and bakery products. We are headquartered in Dubai and have 30 retail stores across the Middle East.
What challenges were you trying to address with Krish TechnoLabs?
We had a custom-built e-commerce shop that had a lot of problems; the user experience was not great and it was completely un-optimized. We decided to re-platform on Magento.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They worked on our e-commerce store, Tavolashop.com. They performed all the frontend design work and transferred all our existing catalogs, orders and customer base from the old platform to the Magento one. They also took care of the integration with our ERP system. Krish also worked on a performance optimization project for improving the loading time and general speed of the website. The project is complete, and now we have a maintenance contract with them through which we can take care of any future requirements.

They assigned a business analyst who gathered our requirements. He passed those to a project manager who interfaced with me. There were a couple of developers working under him. I am currently liaising with a Magento developer. If we need additional features on the frontend or performance optimizations, he can pull in other resources from Krish.

I would definitely recommend them to any client, but I would advise that person to have requirements well laid out upfront, using as much detail as possible. I'm the founder of Rockline Enterprises, a wholesale and drop shipping supplier of licensed rock-and-roll merchandise – licensed band T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats – to online retailers, brick and mortar stores, and small chain stores.
What challenges were you trying to address with Krish?
We were launching a drop shipping program for our online retailers. Since we have hundreds of retailers in our program, we were looking to upgrade our site and move it up to a new platform – Magento. We needed a company to help us with those needs.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They managed the entire process of building the new platform and the website, moving us from our previous cart to Magento, and adding customized and B2B [business-to-business] functionality to the site.
Since then, we've had them on retainer for doing online Magento support for our entire company: they perform design upgrades and custom programming, create new extensions for additional functionality and resolve minor bug issues.

Their English is excellent and they quickly respond back, which is important to us, especially when we have forward-facing questions or a client who can't place an order on our website.
How did they perform from a project management standpoint?
They kept us updated on what was happening throughout the buildout of the site. The project fell slightly behind the schedule, but they clearly communicated to us the reasons and the challenges they were dealing with, getting the project back on track quickly. We mostly communicate via email, but if there's something urgent, we use Skype or talk on the phone.
What did you find most impressive about them?
There're many companies overseas that know technology, but Krish has been great at timely, back-and-forth communication, which has helped us build our relationship with them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
We had a very positive experience with them. It would probably be good to have a project management tool where we could see all of our projects. Their project management portal seems to be set for their internal team, so it's not quite clear to us how to use that software.
