Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Director of Finance at a small defense contractor that is focused on cyber security.
For what projects/services did your company hire Kokopelli?
Our company is very technically focused, with scarce resources devoted to marketing or branding our products or company. The project was intended to kickstart our customer engagements (both in person and online), so we spend less time talking about "how" something works and more time helping our customers solve their problems.
How did you select this vendor?
Kokopelli was recommended to us by one of our customers. After reviewing their work, we gave them a chance. They revamped our website prior to the video project.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
We were starting with a basic idea of a 4 minute introductory video. From there we selected a voice actor and set to work on the script. This was a very difficult part of the task for the project, as we were taking very abstract ideas and trying to boil it down to something that was meaningful across our customer base. The storyboarding was also a long portion of the project, as we worked together to reinforce the concepts in the script with help from the visuals. Finally we worked through the final animation.
What was the team composition?
Brenden lead the team as we transitioned across each area. When required we met with writers or animators to assist with each phase.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Thus far we have generated quite a buzz (for a small company) amongst our core group of customers. We shared the video via email (we haven't posted it to our website yet), and received very positive feedback. Prior to an in person customer engagement, we shared the video and the engagement was more focused on "why" or value propositions rather than just "how" something works.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The workflow was effective, but tedious at times. I think that was just part of the process. Brenden was very positive throughout, even when it was slow going for a little while.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Brenden's commitment to understanding our products, customers, and brand were very impressive. He became a very trusted advisor to help our company put its best foot forward in our market.
Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?
I'm not sure if it's possible, but seeing the animation earlier would be helpful (even if it would be a small segment). For a first timer, there was some internal consternation about the storyboard, and how it would look/feel vs the final product. We just didn't know fully what to expect. That does increase the risk of rework though.

Tailor-Made Rebranding for Massage Tables Now
With roots as a friendly and small—yet professional and specialized—company focused on providing unmatched customer service, Massage Tables Now knew it was time for a new look and feel. They wanted to set themselves apart from the competition and make a memorable impression on potential new customers in the competitive digital marketing landscape.
Massage Tables Now turned to Kokopelli to establish an identity to represent the entire company and increase sales. This came with a fresh logo, attractive new color palette, high-quality images, and other design elements to appeal to a wider audience.
With the new brand, Kokopelli identified Massage Tables Now’s targeted audience in order to improve lead generation without killing their advertising budget. We worked hard to reach a wider audience through a variety of ad types complemented by other digital marketing efforts including email blasts and a social media campaign.
Once the Kokopelli team had taken the time to learn about Massage Tables Now and fully define the new brand, an integrated marketing campaign was developed that defined strategic objectives and how to reach them through holistic marketing, including design improvements, product page copy, updated SEO, advertising, and more.
It was important to Massage Tables Now to maintain their customer-focused image by including educational copy and helpful information across their website to help customers make educated purchasing decisions. Because of this, the Kokopelli team doubled down on making sure their website product pages were enjoyable to look at, easy to navigate, easy to understand, and informative.
Now, Massage Tables Now has a multifaceted marketing campaign that reaches a larger audience while ensuring their customers are receiving the same message when interacting with the company’s brand.

Sustainable Marketing Strategy for Pelsue
Pelsue has been in business for over half a century, but despite their success, their marketing had lagged behind. In order to remain competitive, they needed to rethink their marketing strategy including an updated website, catalog, and marketing materials.
Kokopelli entered the scene as an invested partner, providing Pelsue with invaluable research and strategic planning, marketing plans tailored to their needs as opposed to one-size-fits all, campaign management, and critical data analysis and reporting to revamp and modernize their marketing plan.
Kokopelli worked closely with Pelsue to create a brand-new website that’s easier to navigate, features hundreds of new product photos, well-researched product descriptions, and a powerful quoting tool to save time and money. Not to mention the Kokopelli team to increase their online visibility by more effectively sharing their story and their products with a greater audience through improved SEO and growing an organic presence.
Now the Pelsue brand reflects their experience, quality, and reputation, helping them to stand out among their competitors.
Pelsue enjoyed the best year in the company's history after Kokopelli stepped in. Demand increased dramatically with over 1-year waitlists for some products. Kokopelli overhauled their product catalog, built a new website, kicked off a blog and newsletter, and filmed nearly a dozen videos.

NRCS helps bring local stories to life
NRCS wanted to spread the word about the work they do with independent farmers across the United States by telling individual stories that highlight their transformative services. To fully encompass what they do, they wanted to interview their farmers all across Texas.
By choosing Kokopelli to produce these videos, NRCS chose a partner who knows how crucial the hard work of pre-production is to the success of a project. Kokopelli worked with stakeholders to create a production plan that allowed us to efficiently and fully capture these widespread stories.
Kokopelli interviewers and videographers came prepared, asking questions of the farmers that brought out the rich detail of their story, and capturing footage of the land that brought the NRCS message to life. The Kokopelli pre-production methods helped ensure NRCS got effective videos.
Once in post-production, the Kokopelli team worked to build each video around the most important things NRCS needed to convey, making the difficult choices about what ought to be cut to better serve the story of each farmer.
Through this laborious process, the Kokopelli team stayed focused on the story NRCS wanted to tell. Our editors have enough technical skill to transform footage, while also remaining committed to putting the story before flashy tricks.
NRCS received 25 intentionally-crafted videos that make their farmers’ stories shine.

Website Design & Development for Western Safety
Western Safety was no longer happy with their existing website. It had served them well in the past but was clearly showing its age and doing nothing to attract customers. They needed a website that both looked great and functioned smoothly.
Kokopelli had just the solution: headless website development, which uses the powerful APIs of BigCommerce or Shopify on the back end but allows developers to custom-build the front end.
Embracing a headless development model allowed our designers the freedom to give Western Safety and their customers a modern, easy-to-navigate website that reinforces the Western Safety brand with every element.
Western Safety now has a site that embraces the latest in web development to augment their hard-earned reputation. Their dedicated service is now combined with a web presence that serves, rather than frustrates, their customers.
Western Safety puts their customers first; Kokopelli ensured their website does the same.

Kokopelli Helped B2B Ninja Revolutionize eCommerce
B2B Ninja started life as Quote Ninja, a product which made a name for itself with a targeted app that expanded the ability of merchants to provide quotes. As they grew, their brand needed to grow with them.
Together, Kokopelli and B2B Ninja worked to establish their new identity to reflect their capabilities, customers, and goals. This came with a revamp of logos, graphics, and other elements that made B2B Ninja a fast favorite of BigCommerce users.
Once the new brand was established, B2B Ninja needed their website to be updated. They needed to highlight their comprehensive functionality, look smooth and modern to attract and entice customers, and work seamlessly just like their product.
The designers and developers at Kokopelli worked to build B2B Ninja a new site from the ground up. Their new site uses content, style, and functionality to tell the B2B Ninja story in every way possible.
The new site is blazing fast and stylish, and perfect for B2B Ninja.

Kokopelli Refinded Guardtime Federal's Branding
With Guardtime Federal's complex product and sophisticated audience, their website needed to demonstrate expertise, build trust, & perform consistently.
The experienced team of developers and designers at Kokopelli transformed the Guardtime website into a vital resource for their sales team, producing a fast, stylish website that meets their customers where they are and puts their product first.
In addition to the website, Kokopelli took the functionality Guardtime wanted to offer customers with KSI protection, and created an accessible app that’s simple, secure, and efficient. Now DocketBuilder is a cornerstone of the Guardtime Federal lineup that their customers love.

Kokopelli created reports for US State Department
ACPD relied on the design team at Kokopelli to create a graphic theme and design for their reports by choosing the right visuals to present on brand, accurate, and comprehensive stories any audience could follow. Kokopelli selected colors, created infographics, maps, tables, and other illustrations, as well as picked high-quality images to punctuate analytical data.
The goal was to strike a balance between function and design where they complement each other, while being open and flexible to change throughout the creative and editorial process—ultimately delivering reports that were both beautiful to look at and easy to read.
The final result has been visually appealing reports that tell the story of ACPD and their crucial work.

Digital Development with Aria Chairs
Aria needed a fully responsive website that represented their values while providing an engaging eCommerce experience for shoppers.
As part of this process, Kokopelli updated Aria's logo, colors, fonts, and overall web design to feature best-selling items with improved images and more compelling product descriptions. On the back end, we optimized website functionality and page speed for both desktop and mobile users to increase traffic and conversion rates.
Kokopelli knew that Aria needed to promote their brand, drive more visits to their websites, and better track and measure the results so they could easily adjust efforts if needed.
Once the website was enhanced, the next goal was to reach potential shoppers and turn targeted traffic to Aria’s eCommerce store. Kokopelli achieved this by combining a variety of well-optimized and cost-effective Google Ads campaigns along with employing other digital marketing strategies, like an effective email blast campaign.
It wasn’t long after Kokopelli came on board that Aria Chairs enjoyed a 40% increase in MoM sales. By planning, implementing a strategy, and following through, Kokopelli helped create a successful campaign that has driven conversions and grown Aria’s business.

Educational Training Videos Assembled for CCDC
The Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition (CCDC) wished to offer online classes to help healthcare workers better understand and care for patients with disabilities.
They approached Kokopelli to help create four training videos as part of the two-part, two-module program, which medical practitioners looking to work with people with disabilities were required to complete in preparation of a quiz based on the information presented.
Kokopelli began this project by doing research and learning about the CCDC. We worked with subject matter experts at CCDC who taught us about the organization, the cultural competency with disabilities, explained the training material, and identified their target audience.
We then filmed nine meaningful interviews with doctors, therapists, patients, and family members to gather the most inclusive information possible. The videos provide real-life examples and data on older people with disabilities to help go with the lessons provided in the training.
The final quality of the CCDC videos was fantastic, achieved as a result of filming fantastic shots and choosing interesting backgrounds, and going the extra mile to make even more subdued office settings interesting to enhance the story.
With quality raw footage to work from, our team reviewed the film, piecing it together and pairing it with audio and visual effects. Using custom graphics and graphic effects, we created compelling intros, smooth transitions throughout to keep a natural flow, and concise outros.

Web Design & Dev for Electrical Wire & Cable Distributor
“They were fluid with however we wanted to communicate and how often.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the VP of sales and marketing for Distributor Wire & Cable, a master distributor of electrical wire and cable. We sell our product to electrical distributors in the US.
What challenge were you trying to address with Kokopelli?
Our website hadn’t been redone in 5–7 years, so we wanted to modernize it and make it stand out more.
What was the scope of their involvement?
First, we had a series of meetings with Kokopelli, where we scoped the project together. Then, they provided a quote. We gave them our brand standards and color scheme. From there, they designed and custom-built the static website.
As for design, we requested a hero image for the homepage, which then turned into a hero video that Kokopelli added. Many of our products are very technical, so Kokopelli helped us add a section about these products. They also added a section on value-added services and information on our philanthropic efforts on our about page.
Our users usually visit our site to learn about us or get technical knowledge; Kokopelli helped us build both pieces. The homepage gives users a general feel of who we are and what we do. The deeper users go into the site, the more it highlights our about page, which contains information about our company.
Kokopelli has also helped us redo our customer portal, where electrical distributors can submit quote requests, look at their previous orders, get shipping estimates, and consult market data. The customer portal development involved many API connections.
Additionally, Kokopelli has done some out-of-scope work for us.
What is the team composition?
We worked with Kokopelli's COO, and he had developers working behind the scenes.
How did you come to work with Kokopelli?
We're a Denver-based company, so we narrowed our search to Colorado-based companies. Initially, we built our own review of different agencies and interviewed four options after researching them.
Ultimately, we landed with Kokopelli because they're full-service. On top of being a digital design company, they specialize in general marketing. We chose them because we wanted a long-term partner we could rely on even after they completed the website. Additionally, we liked their portfolio; they had built a handful of industrial websites, which is the space we're in.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent about $65,000 on the static website and the portal.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in February 2022, soft-launched the site in late fall 2022, and then hard-launched it in January 2023.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We measured Kokopelli’s success through Google Analytics and click-through rate. We’ve seen a 20% increase in the number of quotes submitted through our customer portal.
How did Kokopelli perform from a project management standpoint?
They met deadlines and stayed within the budget. We used Trello for project management and communicated through Slack and weekly meetings.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I was impressed with Kokopelli’s communication skills. This area is hard to excel at, and the team did an excellent job. They were fluid with however we wanted to communicate and how often.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Some of the API connections on the customer portal were harder to execute, and Kokopelli could have communicated better regarding hiccups on their side.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Ensure that you’re on the same page as Kokopelli for the scope of work — design it together.

Please describe your company and your position there.
Our company owns a collection of eCommerce brands, and Kokopelli helped us reach record revenue levels. Kokopelli has helped us with marketing strategy, web design, ads management, SEO, etc. We've enjoyed working with them and have continually added them to more of our brands and projects. But this doesn’t say enough.
They have true wisdom, and we can feel that they care about our business and sincerely want us to succeed. They spend time thinking about our company. The advice is always insightful and practical for business. When one business was slow, they suggested we shift efforts to another project, which was spot-on.
Another thing that impresses me is they constantly know how to allocate their own time, with little or no input from us. They are careful with the money we spend on them by not wasting their time on things that won’t matter. They help us to have an edge. For other companies looking for a marketing agency that doesn't BS and cares about your company, we highly recommend Kokopelli.
For what projects/services did your company hire Kokopelli, and what were your goals?
We needed someone to optimize our ads strategy and improve our brand message and image. At the same time, we wanted to consolidate into one provider the myriad IT requests that come up on a day to day basis. This is an important point; they are not only capable of marketing-related tasks but also coding-related.
We wanted to grow to a level that enabled us to provide better service. Kokopelli did a deep dive and accomplished this for us in a matter of months. Our sales jumped and we were able to hire the help needed to provide quality service.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
A peer with experience with agencies recommended Kokopelli to me along with 2 other agencies. Kokopelli appealed to me because of their high level of due diligence. They have an expertise and focus on BigCommerce. The fee is also reasonable as the same fee applies to all work and you decide the number of hours you can afford.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Initially, Kokopelli conducted research over a period of around 2 weeks. After that they began the ads optimization. They upgraded our website, logo, and message. They also got to know our workflows and helped us to become more efficient. We regularly discuss direction and each end of month we clarify what the priorities of the following month will be.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We work directly and closely with our specialist and he engages with his team to complete tasks as required.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Increased sales. Improved product listings and website, logo. Improved internal workflows and staffing efficiency. Clarified direction.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Communication is mainly using Slack and Kokopelli has joined our internal communication channels. One of the things I am particularly thankful for is the fast response to urgent issues. We have had little downtime thanks to the shared sense of urgency they have.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
High level of due diligence. Focus on having an edge. Not spending time on low-priority projects. Having a keen business sense. Flexibility.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I sense the company is experiencing growth and expect they will hire more to ensure their quality of coverage remains high.
The new video, which was circulated via email, generated a lot of buzz for the client among their core customer base. The client's value-add became the key talking point during in-person customer engagements. The workflow was effective, and Kokopelli was dedicated to the client's overall goals.
