We were hoping to lower our cost per acquisition (CPA) because our current cost wasn’t viable. We also wanted to increase our revenue and raise our average order value (AOV) and customer lifetime value.

How did you select this vendor?

We met KlientBoost at a student networking event, and one of their team members followed up with us almost a year later. They reached out at the exact time when we were looking for help, so it felt like the partnership was meant to be.

Although there were a couple of other digital agencies that we were interested in at the time, we decided to give KlientBoost a meeting. After speaking with them at their office, we were sold on giving them the project.

We started the project with an onboarding phase, where we provided creative assets and discussed our ideas for landing pages and ads. From there, the team moved quickly to launch the first round of landing pages, Facebook ads, and Google ads. They checked with us before publishing each of these initial items.

Over the last few months, we’ve entered an iterative cycle of comparing their ideas to our current approach. For example, we’ve compared our test landing pages to pages built using Unbounce, and we’ve looked into advertising on Bing as a potential way to reach one of our core target audiences. KlientBoost continues to test and modify our ads to keep them fresh and engaging.

Our core team from KlientBoost includes an account manager and a lead designer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We’ve lowered our average CPA from $75 to $25, and some of our campaigns perform under $10. Our campaigns have all been well received, and we’re excited to see how the next month goes with all of the changes we’re making.

Additionally, KlientBoost has done an excellent job of targeting our core audience without overselling our products. Because we market our food items to people who have diabetes, we’re very concerned with the language of our ads. KlientBoost has been able to reach folks that will benefit from our products in a professional and engaging manner.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We communicate primarily through email, web meetings, and phone calls, and the team from KlientBoost is super responsive. We use a shared Google Sheet to track metrics and have bi-monthly meetings to discuss key goals and measurables. KlientBoost does a wonderful job of recapping our progress during these meetings.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Many companies claim to be excellent in their field, but KlientBoost actually produces results. They're also a great culture fit, and we love working with their team. As we’ve gotten more comfortable with them, we’ve started to trust their understanding of our brand. We now let them proceed with ads and landing pages without us checking on each iteration.

Are there any areas for improvement?

As with any company, there is always room for improvement. One thing I would suggest is that they should provide email marketing services because we had to bring in another group for that. Still, if KlientBoost prefers to remain specialized in digital media and CRO, I commend them for staying focused.

Additionally, we love data, so we would like to go a little deeper into our metrics. We use different tracking tools on our Shopify site, and we’d love to have a partner that looks more into those metrics to identify areas for opportunity.

Lastly, we’ve recently added several tools and integrations for our pages that are both separate from and related to KlientBoost's work. It would be helpful if they worked on developing strategies to help us get the most out of those tools since they augment our ads and landing pages.

As someone who previously ran an ad agency, I would advise KlientBoost to expand from their specialty only if it makes them a better partner. These suggestions are just thoughts to consider. Overall, we’re very pleased with KlientBoost and the work that they’ve done!

How did the KlientBoost perform from a project management standpoint?

I have a very open line of communication with Mitchell and can access him whenever I need. Changes are executed when needed and reports are delivered when requested. I can't ask for anything more.

What impresses you about the KlientBoost?

In the past, I’ve had trouble communicating with other agencies. While I’m nowhere near an industry expert, I do have some idea of what I am doing when it comes to PPC. Whenever I asked questions of my old firms, they either couldn’t answer them or I would feel like I was bothering them. KlientBoost not only does a great job running my account, but of keeping me up to date about what they’re doing and why they make certain changes.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I want to work with them to figure out how counteract the downturn in business my industry experiences in the winter, especially through creative ads/pages.

As part of several e-commerce projects, we needed to work through optimization and identify the KPIs required to scale customer acquisition.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to build out new sales funnels for paid search and social media marketing (SMM) that worked together. The top of the funnel ads would be retargeted via search to drive sales.

We found them via social media and saw they were local and had a great team.

We onboarded a couple of new e-commerce advertisers who were looking to run performance-based campaigns, but before doing so, we had to figure out what the KPIs were going to be to acquire new customers. Ultimately, there was work to be done on the landing pages supporting both paid search and SMM.  

What was the team composition?

We worked with a project manager/strategist, who helped facilitate the launch of the new pages, and had a campaign manager assigned to us. They helped us work through creative concepts and open up new audiences for various customer personas.

KlientBoost does a variety of work for our CPC campaign, including researching positive and negative keywords and monitoring each campaign for necessary improvements. Their strategies include multiple platforms, including Google. Every week, we receive a report and have a phone call to discuss their progress. They also produce a quarterly report featuring an overview of the strategies that did and did not work well.
