We had been dissatisfied with a series of very mediocre digital ad and PPC management agencies over the last years and were looking for an agency who really "got" the value PPC could bring and was willing to take the lead - as opposed to asking us what they should do.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to gain a better ROI for our ad spend and hand off most of the day-to-day management of ads and campaigns. We especially were looking for an agency with experience and insight to help us try new ways of leveraging ads and PPC.

How did you select this vendor?

They presented very well online, had an impressive portfolio, and agreed to a 3-month trial with results guaranteed. They were also friendly, confidant, and showed obvious aptitude from the very beginning.

Describe the project in detail.

KB initially took our existing campaigns and completely revamped them using a format that makes it easier to see which are working and which are not. The created a set of landing pages and variants and implemented call tracking for us. They also worked with us to provide direct integration with our lead management system. We continue to engage with them and have a retainer agreement where they provide ongoing management and are constantly testing new campaigns and strategies.

What was the team composition?

There is a primary account manager who we speak with a few times per week. They are backed by (at least) a creative, production, and technical team - all of whom have proven to be very responsive.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Overall KB has exceeded the metrics we set for success. The number of high-quality leads has increased and the overall cost per lead has decreased. The numbers are still small, but there is a pattern of improvement month over month. In addition, they have worked with us to provide meaningful metrics and reporting so we feel that we have a complete understanding of how their work has impacted the metrics.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They are very responsive by email and our weekly review call is helpful in reviewing the prior week's results as well as making sure we are in agreement on the current priorities.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They take responsibility for success and are willing to make continual adjustments to improve results.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Not much actually. A minor change would be if they used the same web platform that we do for ease of integration, but it has no been a stumbling block.

As a small, independently owned hospital, our budget is severely limited compared to most of our competitors, which are largely subsidiaries of large corporations. We needed to get the maximum results and positioning possible with a smaller budget.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed to establish and active and ongoing Google Ads campaign that consistently ranked our hospital high in search results, with an acceptable conversion rate and ROI despite our smallish budget. Our goal was to increase our new client numbers significantly.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We used Google to find vendors capable of fine tuning Google Ad campaigns using positive and negative keywords and KlientBoost's web site proved to be the most informative on that subject. The vendor provided evidence the the form of case studies, and demonstrated a deep understanding of Google's ad platform, such that we were convinced that their strategies are the most effective available.

KlientBoost took charge of our Google Ads interface and created and managed ads on a regular basis. They did testing of headlines and keywords and actively added or removed details in an effort to fine tune ads and campaigns and improve conversion rates. The team provided regular feedback via phone and computer meetings and provided recommendations for web site structure and landing page design, as well as general marketing strategies based on our industry.

What was the team composition?

My primary contact was Haley, who gave regular updates and handled our ad account. Hey manager, Mitchell, also provided guidance during our regular phone/computer meetings. Haley consulted with web design experts on several occasions when I had questions about landing pages and marketing to our clients in general.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In the first full month of working with KB, our new client number went from a prior average of 38 up to 63, a 66% improvement. Perhaps more importantly, my understanding of how Google Ads works is much improved. I now know what to focus on in the Google interface, and what is less important.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Workflow was good. Haley was extremely responsive in our email exchanges. I felt like I could ask a question whenever I wanted and could expect (and receive) a well-researched response. Regular meetings helped keep contact with my team so that I felt like nothing was getting missed.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Their core deliverables and services have been landing page designs, digital advertising on Facebook, LinkedIn, and Google, and reporting through technical integrations. After building our designs, KlientBoost managed our ad campaigns, and they worked directly within our systems to make sure everything connected technologically.

I found KlientBoost in 2015 while at a different company that was looking for local marketing help. We didn’t move forward with KlientBoost at that time, but we later engaged them for several other projects. I return to KlientBoost because of how structured their approach is. They have a strategy that they keep iterating on. It’s understandable and transparent. Working with them has been very easy, and the results are always there.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent between $50,000–$75,000 with them so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement began in June 2017 and remains ongoing. The bulk of their initial design work and whatnot is complete, and we are now in management mode.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since working with KlientBoost, our conversions on Google Ads and Facebook have increased by 25–50%, depending on the kind of campaign we run. Further, our cost per lead has dropped significantly.

How did KlientBoost perform from a project management standpoint?

I’ve found that KlientBoost sometimes struggles at times to be prescriptive after the low-hanging fruit initiatives are done. They need to do a better job of communicating at that time to keep pace with the progression of the company.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They follow a process rather than having an account manager come up with ideas. They have a structured approach to building campaigns and generating leads. That consistency, especially with their volume of clients, is nice because then we know what to expect and where we need to fill in the gaps ourselves.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, aside from being a little more prescriptive and communicative, I’m pretty satisfied. They are the right fit for some kinds of companies, but not always others, but they have continued to get better at identifying their target audience.

We recently added several hundred more products to our digital catalog. We engaged KlientBoost because we needed help building out campaigns and restructuring existing Google Ads efforts.

What were your goals for this project?

With their help, we hoped to move the needle on impression shares while also reducing our CPA and redundancy in our account so that we could do more A/B testing.

How did you select this vendor?

We searched online for companies that could manage PPC campaigns. We reviewed KlientBoost’s track record and determined that their business values aligned with ours.

Describe the project in detail.

We began the project with an hour-long discovery phone call and then completed a questionnaire that gave KlientBoost more insight and a better understanding of our requirements and goals. KlientBoost went to work building out the campaigns for the new products and sharing weekly status reports with us. I regularly reviewed their work and provided feedback regarding the direction I believed we should go. We generally agreed on specific strategies, but we did have small changes from time to time on the ad groups, negative keywords, and bid pricing.

What was the team composition?

We have worked with a project manager, a team lead, and the owner of the company.

Can you share any statistics or metrics that speak to the quality of their work and impact of the engagement?

Before working with KlientBoost, we were averaging for around a 14% conversion rate for one particular ad group with a $7.85 cost per conversion. Since then, we are seeing a 17.11% conversion rate and an average cost per conversion of $2.95.

How did KlientBoost perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team is engaged and enthusiastic. Despite the time difference between our offices, I typically receive prompt responses to all emails.

What impresses you about KlientBoost?

They are creative and consistently coming up with witty sayings and phrases for our advertising and content we’ve used on customer-facing platforms.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I sometimes feel that KlientBoost simply uses content from our website to build our ads. I’d prefer for them to take the time to fully understand the product and create fresh, new content.
