Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Outcomes - saved us $$ immediately by optimizing our paid search accounts. Saved us $$ and increased our reach by adding in Bing (don't ignore this!!!).
Drove highly qualified leads that converted into customers. Sometimes this was quick - a few weeks - other times leads converted to customers over months or even over a year. Did this on cost/lead and CPA that was much better than we had before.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
I managed them directly as CMO and had regularly-scheduled meetings - at least 1x week where we reviewed results and agreed on strategies and tactics for the upcoming week. We used Google tools a lot, and had our weekly meeting on GoToMeeting. KlientBoost was always very accessible.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
They work with us as individuals. We are not just another account. When things go sideways, they're brainstorming and problem-solving. They helped us through a critical time when we were paused on Google AdWords as we were getting verified.
We supplemented with more expansive Bing and also some display network and paid social activity. They are always looking to bring new ideas to help improve the performance. They are flexible when we needed to be on budget. And they're awesome to work with!
Are there any areas for improvement?
No, all good. I think it's the classic balance of outsourcing some activity and work vs. keeping it in-house. For this company, performance marketing and paid search was so strategic it was a no-brainer for me to go with subject matter experts.
