Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the founder of a new movie review and discovery website
For what projects/services did your company hire KitelyTech, and what were your goals?
I needed an affordable app for my website and also to supplement development with some outside assistance on an ongoing basis.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I found KitelyTech on Clutch along with 6 other companies and Kitely was the only one who could deliver the solution I was asking for. They maintained great communication and got the app deployed for Apple and Android. Now we are working on enhancements and they are helping with the website workload.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
They used React Native to wrap my mobile display, per my request, and deployed it for Apple and Android successfully. We are working on notifications delivery system linking the web app to the app tile to gain the benefit of native app experience for users and they assist with features of the website itself because of their broad skill base.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I have worked with 4 people;
- a business liaison/project manager
- a designated project manager
- two senior developers (CTO) with the language skills I needed
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
They were able to pick up the work load I couldn't put on the other development team and work smoothly with my other developers to get the app launched and also assist with core web development such as account creation bugs.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Project management is solid. Katie is responsible for forming the relationship from the beginning by going above and beyond when I thought there wasn't a chance and maintaining ongoing dialogue/transparency. Now we have Bryan added to the team and he is very on-the-ball at all times.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Whatever the issue is, they have someone who can address it. I think that if I have a problem, I can reach out to them and feel confident they can take the work and get it done.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I've mentioned to them that I personally enjoy using GitHub as a platform to create project specific posts, but that might just be a personal preference and there may be similar options elsewhere I just don't know about yet. I'm not concerned.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the managing director of International Dymension. We are a soccer agency, and we represent soccer players who are currently playing in Europe and North America. I am based in Florida.
What challenge were you trying to address with KitelyTech?
I needed a high-level website built so that I could market to prospective clients and different people in the soccer industry worldwide. I also wanted a website so that people could look at the profiles of our players, our achievements, and find information about us.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We had an initial phase, where I let them know what I was looking for and suggested specific designs for the website. The site was built from scratch.
What is the team composition?
We worked with 3–4 people, including a project leader, lead designer, and someone who worked on the content.
How did you come to work with KitelyTech?
I was searching through Google, and their company came up.
How much have you invested in them?
We invested about $30,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with them from about May–October 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They did a phenomenal job on building our website; we were very thrilled with it. As a result, we started to get a lot of traffic and received several emails from big European clubs that wanted to sign our players. To be specific, we got emails from German, French, Dutch, and Russian clubs through our contact info on the website.
How did KitelyTech perform from a project management standpoint?
They were exceptional. Their team communicated well, understood what we wanted, and listened attentively. More importantly, they met all deadlines and stayed within budget — it was $30,000 well spent. We used Slack, Zoom, phone calls, and email to communicate.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What stood out was the fact that they really understood what we wanted, how we wanted to be marketed, and how we wanted the website to look and function. They also added their own inputs before executing and delivering everything we wanted. Overall, their ability to take in information and execute and deliver what we needed was impressive.
Are there any areas they could improve?
To my knowledge, they did everything exceptionally well. I don’t think they could’ve done anything differently or better.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Your company is your own unique brand and vision, so you have to know exactly what you want your company to represent, Once you do, explain it to them clearly, and they’ll put their skillset to work in capturing what you want.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm the president and founder of Unique Care Connect which is a nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of the special needs community by providing the first virtual platform that brings all the resources family may need to one common platform.
For what projects/services did your company hire KitelyTech, and what were your goals?
Unique Care Connect is still very much a start up and we had spent the majority of our seed money on app development, but in the meantime we needed to have a professional website. Which is what we hired KitelyTech to do since we had been accepted in their startup scholarship program they gave us a fixed price which fit into our budget.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We selected KitelyTech because we had an impossible list of demands: we needed a site to look extremely professional, done fairly quickly, and we needed done much cheaper than any major company had quoted us at. Since KitelyTech is truly concerned about making the world a better place they have a program called their Startup Scholarship program which they offer expedited services at a greatly discounted rate and personal mentoring. Which met all of our impossible demands.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
The site needed to display all the content we wanted to, gather a mailing list from our newsletter sign up and be able to accept donations via paypal. After getting into their startup program the experience was incredible. I was introduced to the team that I would be working with and we set up a weekly time for us to meet and to be presented with all the progress.
After I told the graphic designer my vision in our introduction meeting, the following week at our first weekly meeting I was absolutely blown away with how well he was able to encompass my vision on his very first try. In between meetings any thoughts I had I would just email whoever I needed and would always get a speedy reply. The final product was everything i wanted. https://uniquecareconnect.org/
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
The team from KitelyTech was made up of 5 people.
1st was Jason he was the CEO and founder of the company he hand selected our project for the startup scholarship program and he personally made sure everything went smoothly.
Then there was Brendan and Katie who both interviewed me for the startup scholarship program and were big advocates for me to get accepted into the program, Katie would become the main project manager and would be my main contact if I had any questions about the scope or any questions regarding payment.
The next was Kurt Vor he was the graphic designer and was extremely personable and was able to capture my vision almost perfectly after just one introductory conversation.
And last but not least was Randall Barron who was the backend engineer, there were others who worked with Randall to make sure all the hosting features on AWS worked out but Randall was my main contact for any backend questions.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The site launched just a couple days ago and we've already seen some private donations as a result of it as well as a big influx for our mailing list. Having the site allows us to apply for federal and private grants. Also allows to approach much larger companies and has made us more legit.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Once the team was selected we were all put into a Slack Channel groupchat together. While this was useful I found emailing directly with whoever I needed to speak to was just as effective, and usually the response time was just a few hours if it was the first email of the day. I made it clear that we needed this project done in six weeks and they were able to accomplish it in five.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
What I found to be most impressive about KitelyTech was the air of excellence that each member of the team carried themselves with. Even though my project was quite literally a "charity case" (my words not theirs).
Not once did I feel like they were ever distracted by another full paying client's project, and never did it feel like they had the attitude of like they were doing me a favor, which in reality they were, but still I always felt as a partner with them never beneath them. And then on top of it they delivered one hell of site thats super clean and fully functional.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not really in all aspects they had it covered in the most positive way possible.

Fortress Mobile Communications, Inc. has developed a Hyper Secure Android Smartphone. I am the Founder and the CEO
For what projects/services did your company hire KitelyTech, and what were your goals?
We retained the services of Kitley Tech to design and build a highly sophisticated and technology driven web site to compete with some of the Flagship Smartphone Manufacturers such as Apple and Samsung
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Through the countless Google searches and after reading dozens of reviews we reached out to Kitley Tech. We called on Saturday AM the CEO called us back the next day. We spoke for at least an hour and our team was immediately convinced that we had made the right call. It was clear to us that Kitley Tech had an understanding of what our product was all about, the audience we were looking to target, and had the resources to meet the objective and goal.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
I can’t imagine I more challenging task than the one we had presented to Kitley Tech. The degree of difficulty would be on par with that of a bioscience company or that of a high-end automobile manufacturer. By its very nature and design, The Cloak Phone was and is a highly sophisticated device that incorporated advanced blockchain technology as well patented proprietary security features designed by both mechanical and electrical engineers from several different countries.
The website needed to convey an extremely complex technology in the most simple and understanding way to our targeted customers. We needed the highest level of advanced digital imaging, 3D capabilities, as well as high-resolution demonstrations.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
The team at Kitley Tech was extremely committed immediately from the start. The CEO, Jason W. made himself available for all stages of the design and development. On early and at every stage the team had a precise understanding of needs and took the time to understand the nature of the technology behind the device itself.
More importantly, the entire team seemed committed to building the most professionally engineered website that could and would rival that of some of the other marquee brands
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
The team at Kitley Tech finished on time. They delivered a standard of quality and digital presentation that remains unmatched by any technology driven start up in my opinion…
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
The team at Kitley became engaged immediately. The level of communication was excellent at every stage. They laid out exactly what they intended to do and explained to our team exactly the manner in which the task was to be executed.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I was impressed with their ability to listen and interpret the highly technical nature of our device. Their questions were both insightful and creatively inspiring to our team. The end result was extremely sophisticated, amazingly vibrant and uniquely designed web site. There efforts collectively gave our Brand “The Cloak Phone” an identity that personified exactly what we wanted to represent to both the Smartphone Ecosystem and more importantly our customers…
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Absolutely not

DataMax is a 130+ year-old company, operating nationwide as a third-party debt collection agency, based out of Winston-Salem, NC. We work with municipalities, as well as businesses who operate in the medical, housing rentals or utilities industries.
At DataMax, we offer our clients a partnership, not a vendor mentality, with unparalleled customer service to both our clients and consumers. I am the Marketing Assistant & Office Manager; celebrating my 36th service anniversary.
For what projects/services did your company hire KitelyTech, and what were your goals?
Our original website was created several years ago and had become outdated. We do not have in-house talent with abilities to design a new website and logo, so we hired the team at KitelyTech to design and develop a WordPress site for our company. We believe this new site will increase traffic as well as showcase our company’s services.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
This vendor was recommended by a business contact. We evaluated KitelyTech as well as a few others. Our decision to use KitelyTech was made based on the examples of other projects, design skills, and their cost estimate.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
After meeting with the KitelyTech team and establishing goals and objectives, they delivered mock-ups and framework for our site. Following a few iterations, their team designed and developed an informational WordPress site. They updated the content to reflect our company’s services and created a landing page with a contact form.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We had a project manager who was our main point of contact for the project. There were 2 full stack developers and a designer working behind the scenes.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
There was at least a 70% increase in traffic and leads. Clients love the updated site and have a much better understanding of our service offerings.
Our internal team also had other comments for KitelyTech. One person wrote: "Working with KitelyTech on our company’s website was a very positive experience. They gave great customer service and delivered a great product in a timely manner. We now have an impressive website showcasing our company."
Another said: "My company recently contracted with KitelyTech to build a new website enabling us to communicate our services to clients and potential clients. We had a very positive experience with KitelyTech and are very satisfied with their customer service as well as the product they delivered. I would definitely recommend them!"
Another said: My experience working with KitelyTech was very positive. The team members we worked with were responsive to our input and were easy to work with. We had an effective timeline and had no problem with deliverables. I would absolutely recommend KitelyTech and their team!
And finally: "Having recently completed a website development project with KitelyTech, I can say that they certainly met my expectations! KitelyTech’s team gave great customer service and worked well within the timeline agreed upon. They have a professional management style and worked to satisfy our company’s requests in an impressive manner."
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We had a weekly team meeting as well as an end of week follow-up email. If there were any issues on either side, they were communicated and handled in a timely manner. We used Slack for most communication.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They were well equipped for the job they were contracted to do. They took time to teach our staff how to make edits for future site revisions of content.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We had one minor communication glitch. It was discussed and rectified immediately and the project was finished as planned.

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
A friend and I started creating an app about a year ago with the idea of improving the digital business card. We’re trying to find the quickest way to both exchange and store information. Most business card apps right now are centered around storage, and we’re trying to figure out a way that exchange can happen as seamlessly as a paper business card. We’re focusing on getting information from one person to another as quickly and efficiently as possible.
What challenge were you trying to address with KitelyTech?
My partner and I were both business students, and we had no knowledge of coding, software development, or app development. We needed a team to help us bring our idea to life.
What was the scope of their involvement?
KitelyTech built our iOS mobile app from scratch. We gave them a bunch of our sketches as well as written details of our ideas. We were pretty clear as to what we wanted at the beginning, but as we started talking to them, they had a lot of good feedback and different ideas. While the end product is very similar to the sketches and mockups we gave them, there were definitely some deviations that we talked through, and that worked out great.
What is the team composition?
We mostly collaborated with one person. However, during the design phase, we spoke with another person as well.
They were extremely good at communicating back and forth with us; we were able to email or text them, and they’d answer at almost all hours of the day.
How did you come to work with KitelyTech?
My partner’s friend had his app built by them, and he’d had a great experience. While we were looking, KitelyTech’s name came up. We did some more due diligence on them, and we decided that it would make sense to go with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our work together began in July or August 2019, and they’re wrapping up this month, August 2020. Development is done. We just uploaded it to TestFlight, so we’re still talking to them regarding small things that come up.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The app just went up on TestFlight a week or two ago, and we’ve had a few people use it there. They’ve said that they really like the app and that it’s not buggy. Based on my experience testing and using the app, I think KitelyTech has done a great job. Whenever there were issues, whether it was with development or things we realized needed changing, they were super responsive and able to fix those issues quickly.
How did KitelyTech perform from a project management standpoint?
In terms of project management, I thought they did a fantastic job. There were several times when we reached out with a wide range of requests or questions, and they got back to us with answers pretty quickly. The whole speed of the project was good. It slowed down toward the end a bit, but I think that was mostly due to our communication slowing down and COVID-19.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Overall, the communication is what really impressed me. We were able to work with them whenever we needed, and they answered all of our calls, emails, and texts pretty much right away. That was extremely helpful to us.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t have much criticism. They gave us a major discount because we were young and right out of college, and they were interested in working with us. Once we paid off the phases in the set contract, they did charge us full price for any additional tweaks we wanted to make. It was a little expensive, but I honestly don’t know what the market rate is.
Any advice for potential customers?
Work with them — they’re great. Keep up communication, because they’re very good with that. Be sure to clearly define early on what you want out of it and how much it’s going to be; I got the sense that if it wasn’t as clearly defined and things changed more, the price probably would’ve increased.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the director of sales for a full-service security contractor. We design, install, and maintain enterprise security networks. We also perform integrations that allow for communication between multiple systems.
What challenge were you trying to address with KitelyTech?
We’re an older, small shop. Our virtual presentation wasn't up to date including our website and social media profiles. We started an initiative to update ourselves.
What was the scope of their involvement?
KitelyTech built a new website. Per our direction, their team kept the content from our original site but also created new content. They produced better visuals for the site. Their team created content to helps us be more present on social media. They focus on organic social media campaigns too.
What is the team composition?
We work with 3–4 people from KitelyTech.
How did you come to work with KitelyTech?
I went on Google and looked at companies' reviews. I wrote down 10 names and called each one. We had a round of interviews with five different agencies. That’s how we decided on KitelyTech. Their team was in tune with our goals, so we felt comfortable with them. They took control of the process and guided us, which helped.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent $27,000 on their services so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in February 2019 and it’s an ongoing project. There have been interruptions, but they’ve been helpful and patient throughout the entire process.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We started to attract unique visitors to our website organically. We have a newfound confidence in sharing our website. As a result of this confidence, we put a social media plan in place. We’re able to share and explore new areas that we wouldn't have prior to our engagement with KitelyTech.
How did KitelyTech perform from a project management standpoint?
Their team’s great and coaches us through the projects. Most of the hiccups are on our end. They’ve been patient and professional the whole time.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their experience stands out to us. We pay a little more for quality, but we have the peace of mind knowing that the cost isn’t jacked up. We pay for what we get.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I don’t know what else they could do.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Know what you want ahead of time. Part of the problem was that we didn’t know enough. At first, KitelyTech had a hard time trying to understand where we wanted to go. As long as there’s a plan in place, they can take it from there.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of a startup called JobTie. We created an app that streamlined the job application process, which I found to be tedious. Users upload their resumes and information so that they can swipe to apply to jobs that companies posted.
What challenge were you trying to address with KitelyTech?
I don’t know a ton about programming, so I needed a partner to build the app.
What was the scope of their involvement?
KitelyTech built an app for iOS because my target market’s college students who mostly have iPhones. Their team could’ve made the app for Android too, but the product wouldn’t have worked as well.
They created wireframes that I approved and then built the platform, which included an admin panel. Their team edited the website that I built, enabling it to host the admin panel. They also built a web app.
What is the team composition?
I spoke with a salesperson initially and then worked with a project manager who remained throughout the whole project.
How did you come to work with KitelyTech?
I searched for app developers in Charlotte, North Carolina, which is where I’m located. They were one of the companies that popped up. Their team sounded great on the phone and leading up to the contract. Unlike other companies, they were flexible with my limited budget. Their team had good reviews online and previous work on their website.
How much have you invested with them?
The project cost $50,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in April 2019 and it’s an ongoing collaboration.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
KitelyTech made the platform happen. Without them, I wouldn’t have been able to have an app. I’m more than satisfied with the quality of their work.
How did KitelyTech perform from a project management standpoint?
We communicated via phone calls, emails, and texts. When we went through the app, we used Google Hangouts. They used a tool that allowed me to preview the app as it was being built. I made comments and edits on the product that the project manager brought back to her team to fix.
Their project manager was fantastic and stayed on top of the project. I’ve reached out to her on weekends and she’s gotten back to me within ten minutes. She kept me in the loop perfectly and showed updates weekly.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’ve heard people complain about their experiences with developers, especially around the service provider's communication and effort levels. KitelyTech was able to go above and beyond. I wanted changes to the product in the middle of development, which their team made while staying within my budget. They not only satisfied my needs but went above and beyond.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I don’t think so.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Stay involved on your end. Pay your invoice on time because if you don’t, they have to put the project on pause. Stay on top of the tasks that they asked you to do. If you take a couple of weeks to get those done, it will extend the project.

I’m a nature photographer that specializes in bird photography.
What challenge were you trying to address with KitelyTech?
I published a book with the American Bird Conservancy and hired KitelyTech to revamp my website to promote the book. My idea was to create an engaging website to raise awareness of the conservation and need to preserve birds and their environment.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I presented KitelyTech with an initial design, and it evolved throughout the engagement. Their team updated my existing website with additional functionalities. The subject matter was the only matter that stayed the same within the platform. The site now has a globe, search filters, information on birds, and a section on bird calls.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and CEO of Emotional Ideas, LLC. We’re a product design company in the amusement technology space.
What challenge were you trying to address with KitelyTech?
I needed to create a software program that was compatible with my hardware device.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We needed to develop a software platform for go-carts. The solution was based on three different modules: a mobile application, software that could communicate with the existing hardware, and a management system that could control both systems. We needed all three to effectively manage our one product. Right now, we’re in the first phase of development with their team.
That’s involved nailing down requirements in an SRS document, creating wireframes, and figuring out workflow processes. They also designed a logo and a pitch deck for us. Next, we’ll move into the design stage.
What is the team composition?
We worked with about 5–6 of their teammates. That included Jordyn (Creative Director, KitelyTech) who handled the pitch deck and logo, Brendan (Business Development, KitelyTech) who is my main point of contact, and Jason (CEO, KitelyTech) who has checked in to make sure everything is running smoothly.
How did you come to work with KitelyTech?
We found them by utilizing Google and researching reviews on potential vendors. I saw that they were nominated as one of the best software companies in the country and had an impressive portfolio of past clients. Based on that, I knew they could do the job.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $20,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project started in December 2018, and the work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our team is impressed with the work they’ve completed so far. Their efficiency and enthusiasm are commendable. We’re an amusement technology company, so we feed off of people’s positive energy as it relates to entertainment and technology. Sometimes skill can only take a team so far, and enthusiasm is needed to really get a project off the ground. They brought that enthusiasm and passion that was essential to the project.
We have a separate hardware company also working on this project. KitelyTech been able to collaborate with them to get the job done. It’s been all hands on deck.
How did KitelyTech perform from a project management standpoint?
The project manager communicates efficiently over Slack, call, or text. The CEO made himself open to help in any way possible. He’s invested in the development of this project, wanting to ensure a professional end product.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re able to serve as a one-stop software development shop. From logos to software to design and graphics, they can offer everything.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Communication could always be better, but I’m a different breed when it comes to communicating. They did an excellent job with it, but it’s important to tailor your communication style to your customers. Some people like texts and others like calls, for instance.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be upfront with your desires for the project without being vague. Give them a clear description of what you need.
KitelyTech is now helping the client with the site's development. So far, the client is happy with the ongoing collaboration and the team's transparency. The team's effort in going the extra mile has been notable.
