Group CTO at Raiz Group Australia (Australia/Malaysia/Indonesia), an ASX listed fintech investment platform/app.

For what projects/services did your company hire Katarti?

We needed to migrate AWS Elastic Beanstalk stack to Kubernetes for utilizing more modern and scalable approach as well as reduce costs for infrastructure, plus expand our CI/CD solutions to meet modern standards. Second step is replicating above stack into our different regions in AliCloud South East Asia using Terraform to automate the process.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I've met Katarti on Dockercon conference. We did few simpler projects together and decided to trust them with our whole infrastructure as we were astonished with their ability to deliver and level of professionality they were presenting. We are planning long term relationship.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

First off, we started on AWS with migration from Elastic Beanstalk to Kubernetes with involving more CI/CD triggers to go above ISO standards, with processes for dev/staging and finally production environments. Then we moved ahead with our other regions in AliCloud South East Asia to replicate and launch the same (using Terraform). Let's not forget about the amount of security layers involved to meet ISO/ASX/fintech modern solutions.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We've worked with few people, 2 full time and few part time resources, involving CTO and management to keep expectations real, with 24/7 deal for any production level incidents.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are stock market investing business and 24/7 availability of our API and back office is critical part of it. Katarti is handling this perfectly and always responding in timely manner or acting immediately upon production incidents.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

As mentioned in above points we are very happy from our work together and their ability to deliver, just as the level of profesional work Katarti presents.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We've been particularly impressed with their wide skillset, whichever framework or technology we asked about. Whether it's frontend, backend or somewhere in between, they were always there to help, with the utmost professionalism.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The biggest thing for us, is their lack of physical presence in Asia but from what I've know, they are already working to remediate this.

Katarti involvement was mainly in the area of DevOps and our IoT Cloud Platform design, development, implementation and maintenance. The platform is dedicated to manage data flows from IoT/Embedded devices.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We selected Katarti based on their competence and quality of service. We were astonished possitively about the way they have helped us in properly designing and upgrading the setup.

This is a highly mission critical Platform for B2B offering. Deployments are dedicated per customer and under NDA.

Working with Katarti was one of our best experiences ever in cooperating with DevOps SW Houses. We've been walked through and educated about each stage of the project, thanks to Katarti's professional and comprehensive approach.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The quality of the service, great experience from the workflow, and top technology.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

If they will secure more headcount and implement the quality of service they offer now, they will be best in DevOps area worldwide.

I am an CIO at an offshoring/outsourcing company, providing real-estate and IT consulting services.

For what projects/services did your company hire Katarti?

Initially, we went with Katarti for DevOps and maintenance, mainly. With time, however, our scope of work expanded and now covers everything Cloud-related.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We knew Katarti from their previous work and what they were capable of doing, based on their performance on the project that we took over/acquired. We were happy with the quality of their skill and decided to stick with them for good.

Katarti has been helping us on quite a broad scale. From DevOps and Kubernetes, through CI/CD, cloud infrastructure and migration to maintenance and trainings.

We have 2 people from Katarti providing DevOps as a service to us on a retainer basis. One is senior and the other is regular/mid.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were really taken aback by how cheaply Katarti managed to set up Digital Ocean for us along with Kubernetes and GitHub Actions’ automatic deploys. It’s been a real game-changer.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We love working with them. We have this kind of a non-verbal and mutual understanding.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The ability to cope with and answer to problems.
