Please describe your company and your position there.
Private membership and network for senior female leaders, corporate and entrepreneurial, across all industries. Founder
For what projects/services did your company hire Jyst, and what were your goals?
This was the first website for the company pre launch. As a premium brand we needed to have a website that not only represented this, but also was a comprehensive resource for those looking to join. We wanted to be inspiring, informative and represent our ethos.
How did you select Jyst and what were the deciding factors?
They were recommended to us through a senior contact with the software industry. She had worked with them in the past and was impressed with their approach and output.
We then benchmarked them alongside 3 other potential design companies we had shortlisted. We then had in depth conversation with one of their recent clients for whom they had developed a very technical App and who was fantastically positive about the process and relationship over the that time.
The final decision was made based on telephone calls with the co founders each of whom took the time to fully explain the process and were very generous with providing advice even before they knew if they had won the job.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
My scope included finding an agency to design and build a strong consistent brand for She2Capital. Additionally, the branding needed to be expanded on in the design and development of a new custom bespoke website for the She2Leadership website.
Over and above this, I needed the agency of choice to creatively reflect exactly what I was thinking and mix it with their own industry insights and expertise to portray the business.
After initial contracts were exchanged, we spent 4-5 weeks in the branding and design stage. Weekly calls were booked working with Chris, James and Alex. Together we worked through the designing and wireframing of the website.
Key deliverables - My time frames were to launch in Q1 of 2021, which have been achieved and obtained collectively by working with Jyst. Not only has the deadline been hit, but the finished project is also over and above the quality I was looking for.
Technologies used.Jyst are surprisingly very open with their design process. They utilize screen shared, collaboration tools and encourage multiple rounds of iteration and feedback to ensure the right product is delivered. The tools used were Figma in the design stage for wireframing prototyping, UI. After the designed were signed off, and WordPress development commenced to deliver a custom-bespoke website.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with 4 members of the team at varying times: Designers x 2 Design Director Director New Business CEO
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
We have yet to launch the website but have shared as a soft launch with many of our contacts and network. All of whom have provided incredibly positive feedback both on the UX and UI of the site.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
We communicated through email and whatsapp. Weekly and ad hoc team meetings were facilitated through Zoom. My main contacts Chris and James, were quick to respond to inputs from SHe2 and did not wait until scheduled meeting to implement. Always happy to jump on a call or zoom to advise or feedback.
They kept me informed on progress on a regular basis. Once the front end was broadly finished I was able to keep track of progress through flywheelsites.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The team at Jyst were quick to assimilate the brief and demonstrated quite clearly their understanding of what the offering was at SHe2 as well as our ethos and approach. They were able to make suggestions and input elements and content that had not been considered by the team at SHe2 and were directly relevant to what we do.
As this was our first website expectations were high and the experience of the SHe2 team in specifying accurately and expansively was a new one. James and Chris were endless patient and intuitive at grasping the essence and creating a number of excellent early options for direction of the look and feel.
Once this was decided they were quickly to create a website that will work for us far beyond our initial plans and is something that the whole team at SHe2 are really proud of.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not really, the team were agile and responsive to any concerns.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the COO of a safety and security app to help reduce gender-based-violence incidences around the world. Initially targetted at countries in Africa with high murder rates from intimate partner violence, this product will be crucial to help save lives.
For what projects/services did your company hire Jyst?
We have a business idea that uses technology to help to solve the issue faced by women and girls of gender-based violence and it required a beautifully designed, easy to use prototype for our funding application.
What were your goals for this project?
Create a beautifully designed clickable mock-up to highlight the key features of the app and demonstrate it's use to the investors.
How did you select Jyst?
I had spoken to the team and found them to be knowledgeable, professional and collaborative - all charateristics I was looking for in the agency I would select to work with.
Their portfolio of past projects from a design perspective also spoke for themselves as to the aesthetic quality of work.
Describe the project in detail.
The Jyst team was only given 4 days to put together a mock-up from scratch and were able to deliver a world-class looking mock-up in that short period of time!
We had previously discussed the features and created a very simple idea of what the screens would look like and provided Jyst with the creative freedom to design the look and feel, as we have not yet created our branding assets.
We had meetings to run through progress and provide our input for amendments. It was a very collaborative and easy process.
What was the team composition?
We worked directly with Sean (CEO) and Chris (Director of New Business) on this project. They were managing the team on their side and our interactions were directly with them at all times. We also met with James (Creative Director) when running through the mock-up. I found them to be very responsive and attentive to us as clients.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
It is too early to tell as the project is still in progress, but I will update this review accordingly.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
The communication was easy and fluid - we communicated interchangeably over email, Whatsapp and Zoom call.
Being able to access the mockup and comment on Figma was helpful. Overall I was very impressed at the execution speed of the team. They provided a great product in a very short timeframe.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I really liked how they fully took on board the project and showed passion and enthusiasm for the project.
This was evident in their impressive design quality and the creativity of the ideas that they shared with us.
Are there any areas for improvement?
None that I can think of! Really happy with the work that they have done for us so far.

App Design & Development for News Summary Experience
“We wouldn’t have a company without them.”

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner, founder, and co-CEO of a personalized audio news summary company. We have an app-based where we provide personalized daily news briefings.
What challenge were you trying to address with Jyst?
We’re two non-technical co-founders, and we weren’t sure what our app would look like. We knew what we wanted to do, but were lost in terms of how to execute it.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Jyst walked us through the whole process with their full-stack engineering and UI/UX team. They’ve worked with us closely over the last few months to get our app completed. We came to them with an idea, and they were able to build it out using Elixir on the frontend and React on the backend. We’re just sticking to iOS for right now but might do Android further down the line.
What is the team composition?
We work with Chris (New Business Director), Sean (CEO), James (Creative Director), and Branko (CTO). On the backend, we have 3-5 other people.
How did you come to work with Jyst?
I went to business school with Chris’ wife, and I knew that they had a really great firm. At first I didn’t think we’d be able to afford them since we’re self-funding this business, but Chris has been really amazing and has walked me through the process. We were so blown away by their designing abilities that
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $40,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in December 2019, and our work is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve been very satisfied and they’re very responsive. Their quality of work has just been great. All around we’re extremely pleased with them. We wouldn’t have a company without them.
How did Jyst perform from a project management standpoint?
Their communication is great. The project management is fluid and they have great transparency. We have meetings with Chris and Brenko regularly, and they always accommodate us if we request more meetings.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The quality has been great across the board. They make concessions for us and they understand where we are in our fundraising cycle. They help us tackle our problems one step at a time.
Are there any areas they could improve?
There are certain limitations that come with not having a development partner in-house, obviously. The time difference can be a bit challenging sometimes, but overall, we’ve had an extremely positive experience with them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
My advice is to be transparent and have an open mind with communication. Say what you want and they’ll make it happen. Having continuous discussions is key.
