Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

The project was to create a video on demand service for in-door cycling classes filmed by Spinning Master Instructors. These classes are shot on location in Los Angeles and delivered to subscribers via iOS and Android applications. In addition to streaming videos and managing payment the applications also connect to sensors via Bluetooth. These sensors measure heart rate, power generated by the rider, and the speed at which they are pedaling.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The app has seen very large increase in subscriber base and low churn. Ease of use and cost of maintenance are extremely low.

JoinToIT's project management is solid. They did a good job of making sure issues were ready for development before accepting them into sprints. The QA process was thorough and resulted in a high quality project. Documentation was clear, and the weekly board and backlog were well maintained.

JoinToIT's leadership really sets the tone. They high standards for themselves, and they take their work very seriously. They were constantly trying to learn how to optimize their productivity and value delivery.

Like any vendor they sometimes say "yes" too easily. It is extremely difficult to stick to a set scope, and requirements are always emerging. It might help for them to push back more when there is a difference between a change request and project task.

Since engaging with them, we’ve had almost 300 daily users on our platform, which is huge because we charge $50 per user. Overall, they’ve exceeded my financial and creative expectations — I’m 100% satisfied with their work.

They’ve done great in terms of budgets and timelines; they don’t deliver empty promises. In terms of communications, we have standing Skype videocalls.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Join.To.IT has worked on numerous projects, including CRMs, ERPs, and other systems. They build everything from scratch, using tools like SQL, PHP, Laravel, and JavaScript. For our software system, they did requirement gathering, determining the scope and size of our project. From there, they built wireframes and prototyped the whole product. They run the entire dev cycle, including feature releases. We complete project testing and QA after every milestone.

I’ve worked with about ten people, and the project manager usually changes depending on the project.

This was a large project, so I spent months interviewing potential partners on Upwork. Join.To.IT’s owner was transparent and honest, showing us the entire dev team over webcam. They had strong references and the capabilities we were looking for, so we hired them.

We haven't launched yet, but the site has been very well received internally thus far. Join.To.It has significantly raised the site's standard of quality, resolving a lot of issues we had with the previous version built by another vendor.

They're very responsive and proactive about using project management tools, including Trello, Bitbucket, Slack, and Skype. We also hold daily standup meetings, so nothing falls through the cracks.

Join.To.It's team is very hardworking compared to other agencies we've worked with. They're one of the few firms we've found capable of taking on our large and complex scope of work, navigating any obstacles quite well in the process.

Althought I'd always like to have things done faster, our database is very large and complicated, so we're very happy with everything they've done overall.

The analysis is done with the help of integrated AI that will interview customers for a good understanding of why deals are won or lost. Users of the application will receive a report after every analysis and have a dashboard that gives them strategic insights on how to win more deals.

Their involvement was great, but what was impressive was that their business analyst was so intelligent and involved, that she was able to add a lot of insights and suggestions that helped the product be so much better.

Tracking the handeling progress of detailes that needed to be changed after each sprint (my feedback on the delivered work) could be better. Sometimes I lost track of what we already did and what still needed to be done. But when I asked for a way to track this better, they immediately came up with a solution. Their sales department also planned regularly call to evaluate the things thatgo well and the things they could do better.
