johnnypuetz Productions is an award winning production company based in New York City. A professional team with several years of experience in the industry, specialized in Automotive, Sport, Fashion & Lifestyle, and TV. We offer creative development, video production, photography, and post-production services worldwide. Our work has been published on Netflix, Amazon, HBO, Warner Bros. Pictures, and at several film festivals worldwide. Major brands like Jeep, Triumph and Red Bull are just a few references to mention. We take on difficult challenges and provide creative solutions. No production is too big or too small.

Jane Motorcycles Commercial
Asphalt, city streets, bright lights — when you think of New York production companies, the great outdoors probably isn’t the first thing that comes to mind. While it’s true that we’re well-versed in the big city energy that makes New York City so magnetic, our work isn’t limited to urban settings.
Our most recent project took us to the heart of Rockaway Beach, where we did a ridiculously fun commercial shoot for motorcycle apparel company Jane Motorcycles. Since we were working entirely on the sand, we got to play around with one of our favorite and most versatile chase vehicles: an ATV.
ATVs make fantastic chase vehicles because they provide balance and stability on any number of tricky terrains — without the right vehicle, it can be nearly impossible to get smooth shots on surfaces like sand, gravel, or the unexpected bumps and surprises of off-road terrain. Our ATV allows us to take on shoots far beyond the bounds of New York City, capturing the spirit of adventure that drives our clients and their customers.
As a small company, we take pride in our large and varied arsenal of gear. Clients come to us with all kinds of unique ideas, circumstances, and proposals, so we tailor our cameras, vehicles and other gear to each project individually. When it comes to creating content for some of the country’s most dynamic brands, a one-size-fits-all approach just won’t cut it.
We ended the day with a nighttime shoot on the Williamsburg Bridge — all roads lead back to New York in the end, don’t they? This project was unique in that it gave us the ability to spotlight our skills in both urban and natural settings. Whether you want to shoot on the beach or in the heart of the city, we’ve got you covered!
Thanks to Jane Motorcycles for letting us showcase their gorgeous apparel, and big shout out to talented director/producer Parker Foster — for a man who doesn’t ride motorcycles himself, he sure knows how to capture the essence of a great moto brand.

Magnus Walker - Big Apple Outlaw
When our friends Ethan Roach and Claudia Stock visited New York and expressed interest in working on a passion project, we knew things were bound to get interesting. Our goals were simple: capture the spirit of New York City, and showcase an incredible car.
We were beyond lucky to work with legendary car collector and fashion designer Magnus Walker, who co-stars with Phil Toledano’s incredible Lancia to bring the shoot to life. We were originally going to feature Magnus’ old black Porsche, but when he called us and told us he had access to the Lancia, we couldn’t resist. It was incredible luck — the Lancia was the perfect car for this shoot, and we love the way the color pops in low light.
Not only did Magnus star and provide the vehicle, but he also helped us iron out the concept, storyboard the script, and even scout some locations around the city. Location scouting in particular was a team effort on this project, and we were thrilled to capture some of New York’s most iconic scenery.
The Brooklyn Bridge scenes were the most exciting part from a coordination perspective — we had one team on the bridge and another team with the Lancia, with a very limited window to get our shots. The stakes were high; if you missed the shot once, you’d have to wait about 20 minutes to get into same spot again.
The shoot itself was split into four days. Day one, we were in Williamsburg, capturing the skyline footage and the drive over the Williamsburg Bridge. The second day was a big one —about 18 hours of shooting, with a quick lunch break to charge our gear and get a little rest. By nightfall, the weather changed from a sunny January day to a cold, rainy night. Don’t get me wrong, it was totally worth it. But believe me, the thought “What are we doing?” certainly crossed our minds when we were soaking wet and exhausted, riding our motorcycles, clutching our cameras in the pouring rain.

Services
It’s safe to say that 2021 was a roller coaster of a year. As the world entered its second year of the pandemic and New York production companies scrambled to adjust to continuously shifting restrictions, johnnypuetz Productions has lived and died by one word this year: flexibility.
Let’s take a look at the numbers. This year, johnnypuetz successfully delivered 76 projects and shot 20 TB of footage. Highlights include working with legendary boxing manager Rory Holloway on a trailer for his upcoming film MY BROTHER’S KEEPER (an intimate look at his professional relationship with boxing icon Mike Tyson), helping filmmaker Rhisa Parera share her battle with chronic Lyme disease in the short film YOUR LABS ARE NORMAL, and capturing Jane Motorcycles apparel in action on an off-road shoot. We also helped companies pivot their marketing tactics for the virtual age with state-of-the-art live streaming, and we even helped some happy couples document their big day with custom wedding videography!
We leveled up our gear arsenal with a Motocrane Ultra, and we rounded out our team with a total of 10 team members, 30 freelancers, and our very first intern. Without giving away too many details, we also had the chance to work with an Academy Award-winning actor! Through it all, our team and our community have embodied the spirit of flexibility and support that have kept us going strong this year. If the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that people should always come before business — we were honored to lead a photo shoot with our friends at Ryders Alley, spotlight local auto event Cars & Coffee, and document New York’s famous Bike Life movement in WHEELS UP IN NYC. We have nothing but admiration and respect for every client we work with, and that’s not something we’re looking to change in 2022.

The Lumineers
We’ve been in contact with Triumph Motorcycles America for a while now, so we were thrilled to finally get the opportunity to work together. Triumph needed video services for their upcoming collaboration with Meta Magazine — as a subscriber to Meta and a huge fan of their content, we were honored to lend our skills to this project.
Obviously, COVID-19 restrictions presented a challenge — specifically, we were limited to only two people to capture the content that we needed. Believe it or not, this actually turned out to be a blessing. Together with our good friend Ryan Handt, who was in charge of pictures, our tiny three-person production crew allowed us to create an intimate, personal atmosphere on our shooting days instead of the impersonal bustle of a huge production. COVID restrictions also meant to have to do everything on our own while wearing face shields, masks, gloves, carrying around all our gear, and holding a 20-pound camera all day. Don’t get us wrong, it was completely worth it in the end! But let’s just say we had no trouble falling asleep after a long day of shooting.
The first time the name “The Lumineers” was mentioned on a call, JP was embarrassed to admit that it didn’t ring a bell. But when he listened to “Ho Hey” after the meeting, the lightbulb finally went off — holy cow, these guys are huge! Considering their stardom, we buzzed with a mix of excitement and nerves when we met Wesley on the first shoot day. Thankfully, it turns out that Wesley is a charmingly humble and down-to-earth guy. It was more like hanging out with some moto buddies in the Catskills than being around a world-famous rock star!

10th Street Motocross
The track was built by Long Islanders who love motocross and needed a place to ride. We talked with Dan about his love to Motocross and his track, that he is running with his dad together. If you into Motocross or Dirt biking, 10th Street Motocross is a must visit if you are based in New York. Family owned business, super friendly community and a beginner friendly Motocross track to get your feed wet into the world of Motocross.

Please describe your company and your position there.
SaskExpress is a not for profit theatre company in Saskatchewan Canada, specializing in touring musical theatre and promoting the art form across the province of Saskatchewan
For what projects/services did your company hire johnnypuetz Productions, and what were your goals?
We decided to give back to our artists in the musical theatre community by organizing interviews with 4 of the hottest Broadway artists of our era. We had a Director, a Choreographer, and 2 Performers give an interview and small performance. They spoke about their personal processes from pre-production to the final performance.
We hired Johnnypuetz Productions to handle all the filming requirements, from lighting to shooting and setting up the remote link as the interviews took place in NewYork but we remained in Canada. We wanted professional footage that was interesting to view with multiple angles. They also had to make sure the sound quality was pristine as we were having live performances.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We went through many film production companies on clutch. After seeing JohnnyPuetz reel and professional website we decided on them. I also used to have a dog with a name very close to JohnnyPuetz so I thought it was a good omen. ha
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.
I first sat down over zoom with JP to discuss the project and details and we came up with a plan that worked for both parties. JP and the crew got their early to set up and they were on top of everything. They also had to be our welcome party for the artists and they were very polite and professional.
They made the room look pleasing and lit it well for the filming process. They filmed all 4 interviews over 2 days and had all the technical requirements for us to video in from Canada to ask the questions. It all went off without a hitch.
Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?
JP was our contact point and he brought a crew of 4. They were always checking in to make sure we were happy.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We are still in the editing process but everything looks and sounds amazing. They did a great job capturing the essence of these artists and made it all look very interesting.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Communication was prompt and very great. They were always polite and even with a small hiccup with the location they handled it likes pros and made sure we were always informed as to what was going on. Their style seemed very collaborative and welcoming. They got our footage to us right away after and it was well labeled.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I just found their appreciation of the project to be very impressive. They went out of their way to make this work for us and they did it with a smile on their faces. They were a pleasure from start to finish.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not that I could see.

I am the head coach for a motocross track. We are a motocross riding park located in Ronkonkoma NY.
For what projects/services did your company hire johnnypuetz Productions, and what were your goals?
Our goal was to obtain images and videos we could use on our social media. Our goals were to capture what we think to be the most intriguing aspects of the sport.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
JP’s past work showed us that they would be a perfect match for what we were looking to capture and portray. His professionalism and amazing team helped in making our final decisions.
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.
From storyboard to final product the process went smoothly. We spoke over the phone about ideas. Looked at the location and spoke more about the production process. The steps in filming were all smooth snd went according to plan.
Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?
I worked directly with Jean Pierre and his team. They were very helpful, and worked very well as a team.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We gained followers and our social accounts now have a great display of what we offer at our facility.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
JP was very easy to work with. He had great positive influence on his team. They used headsets and other devices for communication and it didn’t seem as though anyone was left out of the loop. The days are very punctual which made the process a breeze.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Everyone on their team was so invested in what they do. The team not only is interested in filming or production; but they also align with what they film. They are all enthusiastic about the sport of motocross which i think is portrayed in the time and effort took in production.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I look forward to working with them in the future.

“It doesn't really matter where they go — they just always do an excellent job every time.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the head of content at UVeye, an automotive tech company. We use artificial intelligence and high-definition cameras to scan automobiles for damage and defaults and help dealerships and fleets in servicing vehicles.
What challenge were you trying to address with johnnypuetz Productions?
We needed help in producing social content to help promote our new product. We also wanted to create video and photography content that featured our products to refresh our asset library.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We have three products, and johnnypuetz Productions was tasked with producing one video per product. They’ve also produced one main video that featured all of the products.
Additionally, they’ve produced a demonstration video and assisted us in doing interviews with dealership staff to create a video testimonial. We still have a couple of projects in the works, but the ones that have been completed came out fantastic.
Their main responsibilities include shooting footage and editing the videos. They usually send over the first cuts through emails, after which we send back our requests and feedback. They’ve done a really good job of taking our requests and revising the videos accordingly.
What is the team composition?
We’ve worked with JP (Director), Craig (Grip), a photographer, and a production assistant.
How did you come to work with johnnypuetz Productions?
I met JP through a mutual friend. Back when I was still with my previous company, I reached out to JP to do some video work because I knew that he previously did some interviews with some celebrities as well as some good brand videos with high-profile brands.
Since I already knew that JP and I worked well together and that the quality of his work was consistent and reliable, I figured that it was a no-brainer to reach out to him and have him do the work for UVeye as well. He's put out high-quality work every time I've worked with him, so it was definitely a vote of confidence.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent somewhere around $10,000 on this project.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The overall production has run incredibly smoothly. johnnypuetz Productions has been really quick to adapt to every site that we’ve shot in — they’ve been able to set up very quickly, shoot everything really well, and document everything that needed to be documented in a timely fashion.
We've worked with them at multiple sites and they have delivered consistent, high-quality work each time. It doesn't really matter where they go — they just always do an excellent job every time.
As far as quantitative metrics go, we don't really have a way to measure that because we only post the video content on LinkedIn. We're also using it internally for sales purposes, but it’s still early days so it's hard to make that determination. Nonetheless, everybody at our company was blown away when they saw the videos.
How did johnnypuetz Productions perform from a project management standpoint?
johnnypuetz Productions has performed extremely well in terms of project management. Once we decide on a date for a shoot, they keep a rigid timeline of the call time, the setup, and the shoot.
When it comes to editing, they always turn the videos around fairly quickly, delivering the photographs first and then the first round of the videos shortly after. Any revisions that we have are done promptly and in a timely fashion, and they keep a very reliable schedule when it comes to creating, editing, and delivering.
Overall, they work really well as a team and always do their work efficiently and quickly. Most importantly, they always get high-quality content from our production efforts.
In terms of communication, they’re very clear and straightforward. We primarily communicate through email and text messaging.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I’m most impressed with johnnypuetz Productions’ creative eye. They’re incredibly good at taking in what we're looking for and turning around a product that is fairly accurate to what we envisioned. They do take certain artistic liberties, but they always deliver exactly what we ask for, just with their own creative spin.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I'm very happy with the way johnnypuetz Productions has turned around our content and deliverables, so I don't really have any complaints.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure to clearly communicate what you want in order to make everyone's jobs a lot easier. I believe that it's the client’s responsibility to be clear and concise in what they want and to be responsive in providing feedback and requests.
Being just as orderly and organized as johnnypuetz Productions is would make the whole process more efficient.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was amazed by the whole experience, so I don’t see anything that they could improve on. They really worked well as a team, and everything was on point.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am a freelancer, and I do creative art direction and photography.
What challenge were you trying to address with johnnypuetz Productions?
I needed help with creating a video, so I sought johnnypuetz’s services.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I went to New York to produce a video about motorbikes, and the johnnypuetz team helped with assembling the film set, sourcing the models and motorbikes, reaching out to the necessary companies, and just organizing that particular shoot in general. Johnny (Director) assisted me with hiring talents and provided the photographer and videographer as well.
Once everything was arranged, we came up with stills and actions shots. Their team captured videos and photos simultaneously. One of their cameramen even rode a bike while filming to get the desired shot of the subjects.
What is the team composition?
I worked with 3–4 people from their team, and that included a photographer, a videographer, and Johnny himself.
How did you come to work with johnnypuetz Productions?
A company I had worked with in the UK recommended them and provided me with their contact details.
How much have you invested with them?
I spent close to $5,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project took all of July 2021, but I will definitely reach out to them again in the future.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The video is published on the website and various social media platforms. It accomplished more than I hoped it would. My client wanted a realistic shot of riding through the city, and that’s exactly what they got. It didn’t feel staged at all; everything was authentic and able to show that the motorbikes are not just meant for the country. What the johnnypuetz team provided was perfect.
How did johnnypuetz Productions perform from a project management standpoint?
I came to New York and theri team took care of everything. Their communication was brilliant. It was very seamless and efficient, and I didn’t have anything to worry about. After each phone discussion, they would send a confirmation email outlining what we had just talked about.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their organization skills were truly impressive. I struggled to find agencies that could organize a shoot around motorbikes and get the specific shots that I needed, but johnnypuetz was able to achieve everything on my list. It’s rare to find a team that can do that even without a massive crew and budget.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I was really happy with their service. I learned a lot from them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m a senior account and production manager at The Line Studios. We are a production company but we are also a photography studio that caters to predominantly American e-commerce brands.
What challenge were you trying to address with johnnypuetz Productions?
We hired johnnypuetz to work with us on shooting, producing, and editing content.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The johnnypuetz team helps us provide services to clients who need e-commerce photos or video content for their website and social media platforms. We rely on them to bring the photography and videography equipment and lead the production and post-production processes. Together, we make sure that the output is to the liking of our clients.
What is the team composition?
When it comes to video editing, we mainly work with JP (Founder & Director) and Riccardo (Video Editor). For production work, we have as many as 5–7 people from their team joining us, depending on the complexity of the project.
How did you come to work with johnnypuetz Productions?
It was my boss who found JP through their motorcycle hobbyist group. As they became friends, we started to work together and have had a good relationship since. Everything has been perfect, so we’ve not considered changing partners.
How much have you invested with them?
I believe we’ve spent around $10,000–$15,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
They were already working with the company for years when I joined in June 2021. Our partnership is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Whatever johnnypuetz produces is so spot-on that, 90% of the time, our clients will request little to no revisions for the final videos. Everything is free of issues or hiccups, which is what we like most about working with them. They would even offer to go back on some projects to make sure that the final versions are perfect.
On top of that, their turnaround time is also pretty fast. There has been an instance where we had the final video within 36 hours of us sending them the raw footage.
How did johnnypuetz Productions perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re great. Their uptake of instructions is very straightforward; it usually only takes one email for them to understand the requirements and creative take for a project. The next day, they’ll have done everything perfectly. Production and post-production are all very smooth-sailing as well.
We communicate via email, but we exchange texts whenever there’s an urgent matter. They’re very professional and responsive; within five minutes of us sending them a message, they’ll confirm that they’ve received it and will immediately start working on the issue. We also share media through Dropbox, which is very convenient because it notifies us whenever a file has been uploaded by their team.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What really stands out to us is how this feels more like a friendly relationship than a B2B partnership. It’s never about the money; they’re always set on helping us execute whatever it is we want to do. They’re very genuine, lovely people, and they’re very responsive and professional towards us.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, we don’t have any issues with them. Our relationship has been great so far.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Explain your vision and goals directly to their team. If you’re not sure about an idea, they can help you enrich it and navigate the creative process. As long as you’re clear from the very beginning, they’ll be sure to provide the content that you need.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the director of Production for a creative agency specializing in brand strategy, design and execution for events and content in fashion, music, art and popular culture.
For what projects/services did your company hire johnnypuetz Productions, and what were your goals?
We designed and produced a pop-up store for a client - the client wanted to record the built out from beginning to finish. Johnnypuetz productions came in to support our video needs. The idea was to do a timelapse of the build but we wanted something more sophisticated and creative than just using go-pros footage.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We chose Johnnypuetz because they were creative, solution oriented and affordable. They were also very responsive and gave us a few options (budget & equipment) in order for us to choose from.
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.
We had a preliminary email exchange. They worked with us very rapidly and understood right away our needs. They came back to us with a few options that might have worked for our set-up and timeline which we were very happy with. We confirmed the SOW and approved their proposal and they started working on the pre-production and made sure they had all the details figured out for a successful recording/production.
Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?
We worked with JP the founder of Johnnypuetz who outlined the way they usually work and asked about more details to make sure he fully understood our needs. We would mostly exchange with him by email but he is always open for call as needed which we really appreciated. All feedbacks we have made were taking into account and JP always gave us a quick solution/answer to our questions and concerns.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Our client was thrilled by the video they made. We were called back to produce their upcoming pop-up in LA and NY and asked to continue making these videos as we move forward.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Easy to communicate and provided frequent updates so the process was very smooth overall. We like the fact that everything was very transparent and direct and that they always had the solution to meet our client's expectations.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They took the time to ask and learn about the project even if our industry was a little different from what they were used to work with. They were able to suggest new ideas to improve our vision, which made the final video a much better product than expected.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not really as far as I am concerned.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO and Co-Founder of an electric bicycle manufacturing company called Zooz Bikes.
What challenge were you trying to address with johnnypuetz Productions?
We needed help with video production for my business.
What was the scope of their involvement?
johnnypuetz Productions has been providing 1–2 minute videos for us. In terms of the process, we tell JP (Founder) our requirements, he assembles a storyboard, verifies everything for us, and then develops a script for the videos. He also manages all production efforts, including the crew, gear, and sites. Consequently, he produces the materials into a final edited product.
We use the material he creates for us for YouTube, social media outlets like Instagram, and we also send the videos to our wholesalers to serve as promotional content.
What is the team composition?
I work directly with JP, but more members are involved, like his team and other acting talents.
How did you come to work with johnnypuetz Productions?
I’ve known JP for a long time because we’re both in the motorcycling community, so I was familiar with him and his great work and abilities. I’ve partnered with him for a couple of years, so I use his services due to his outstanding deliveries and great pricing.
How much have you invested in them?
We’ve spent around $29,000 with them so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in October 2019, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They’ve been instrumental in helping us execute our vision thanks to their top-tier reliable work. I can’t give direct metrics, but we have very high rates of return on advertising thanks to all the material they’ve produced for us.
How did johnnypuetz Productions perform from a project management standpoint?
Their transparency with project management is outstanding in meeting deadlines and communicating with us. In terms of tools, we use standard Excel and Word documents to make everything straightforward.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They over-deliver on every project. The sum of all the parts of their work ends up in an incredible final product — they come to us with something that’s consistently better every time we expect one outcome.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be prepared to communicate the vision of what you want, and feel free to ask questions — he’s very responsive and receptive. Also, let them do the heavy work.
johnnypuetz Production captured the artists' ethos, which delighted the client while they continue to edit the video. The team communicated effectively and kept the client updated during the engagement. Their efforts in going the extra mile to deliver the client's vision were notable.
